Hurricane season officially goes from June 1 thru December 1. We've been pretty lucky up until now when cruising in the fall, but I guess it finally caught up to us!

Angie

Ours (cyclones) usually starts in December and finishes in April. I don't mind cyclones since you usually get plenty of warning but tornadoes would be a different kettle of fish. We had one go through here a while ago and it's never heard of this way ! Houses are still waiting for repairs.

Relaxing and waiting. It's been raining for a few hours and the wind is starting to pick up Predictions are direct hit into New Jersey (all my family is there) and then heads straight for Philadelphia. We have prepared as much as we can. Just a wait and see now.

Anyone looking to go to WDW before the cruise? I'm currently thinking about March...I'm excited to see the new Fantasyland. My sister saw it today and had a great time!

We leave Dec 7th for 8 days. Can't wait. The FLE will be officially open when we get there.:cool1:

We have a trip booked for May. I haven't been to Flower & Garden for a few years. Plans call for a three-day trip to the 'DARK SIDE" to see Harry Potter followed by 8 days at Boardwalk Villas, our first time at that resort, We scored a boardwalk view and I'm pumped!

Waiting here too. I think that's the worst part, the waiting because that just makes your mind run crazy. So far, we seem to be ok, Sandy has moved north and we are sort of on the cusp. It's hard to tell, as our weather people keep saying we will get hit, but then, are they talking about US here in northern VA or the people in Maryland? Our weather guessers tend to ignore anything south of say, Alexandria....even though they are our weather/news service too. :confused3

Stay safe Chuck, and I agree, storms are not good for computers, so you might want to unplug yours for safety reasons.....Just trying to help you get prepared!! :lmao:

Seriously, stay safe!:grouphug:

Stephanie,

Is someone in your group next week named Jeff? He has two daughters?

I noticed on facebook he mentioned he was going to be on the Fantasy Saturday so I figured he most likely was on your thread....

I sailed with him in 06-08...just wondering

Yes, I know who you are talking about! He is on our cruise! :)

Morning:

Chuck how are you doing? I hear things are really picking up your way..stay safe..

Stephanie: I was watching the news this morning, are you able to fly out on Wednesday? Keeping my fingers crossed so you flight leaves...with you on it:thumbsup2 How is that packing going?

Actually, while watching the news this morning, they were even talking how its hittings us here in the Chicago area. Lake Michigan is getting hit and causing blig waves here...then later tonite and tomorrow we are getting about 40 mile an hour winds....right now not to bad, at least its sunny out, but things will be changing later today.

Well better run

later

:rotfl: I'll be lost without my computer :scared1:.

So far just a lot of rain. The wind isn't too bad right now, only ranging from 25 - 40 mph. Going to get much worse later today into tonight. I don't mind as much during the day because you can see what is happening, night time is worse.

You may get a chance to catch up to me..but I have sprinkled a lot of pixiedust: on my house

It's starting to get bad here. OC lost the pier. :sad1:

They just closed our airports for the duration, all our mass transit is shut down. I have all our electronics on chargers, but if we lose power we lose wifi too, so the iPads won't do us any good. This is the only reason I wish we had 3G iPads.

I agree, the dark is worse because if the power is out there is BLACKNESS!!!! :scared:

Keep the pixie dust flowing, I really hope this causes very little damage and no loss of life or serious injuries.
All joking aside, everyone please be safe!
