My Monday started off crappy with a sore throat and sinus congestion.. looking like a sinus infection...

But I just got an email for another position at my company which made me feel a little better. layoffs next month in my department so it would be nice to find another position before that happens.

Thats when you know your getting too hold to host parties. I was glad when my kids turned a certain age, then I quit having parties. But...for Chirstmas I host Christmas Eve with Wally's family, then have another smaller Chirstmas day with mine. So after 2 in a row, I'm good for the rest of the year. I love having the parties, but the prep, of cleaning the house then the party, then that clean up.....:faint: just exhausting....

:banana::banana:
I'm with you--my kids host the parties now and I'm loving it--Angie

My oldest has been married for 7 years in January and the youngest for 3 years in October. I'm still hosting......:confused3

Well gee thanks for bursting my bubble.....

But I know my son, he dosnt like a lot of people at his house??:confused3

So I will also assume that I will continue to "host"....

:wave2:

Ok, I came up with another name:

since we are the before Christmas sailing.....

ELVES A-CRUISING!!!

Or something like that, if anyone has a better play on that....

Or the Cruising Elves

:banana::banana::banana:

I started counting the "top of page"....I will keep tract until we all leave for the cruise....:thumbsup2 I started from page 19 where "it all started"....

Sorry to burst your bubble! :goodvibes

Truth be told, we have the room and neither of the boys really do! I'm at max at my dining room table..or will be when Hunter gets old enough to sit at the table...he's usually in his car seat 'talking' to me most of the meal now.

But the time is coming when Sulley and I will want to get rid of the too-big house and downsize. Funny how when the boys were living at home, the house felt too small! :rotfl:

Even now, when everyone is over, the family room/kitchen/dining room feels like it's busting at the seams:crowded:...but I wouldn't change a thing!

You're probably an excellent chef and they love your cooking! I'm not very adept in the kitchen so they have been anxious to relieve me of my duties :)

Other thought for names: Fantasy Fanatics or Fantasy Fun Crew

Angie

We have compiled quite a list of names for the group. At what point do we want to take a vote? Or maybe rule out some of the names to keep the list manageable.

I'd give it a bit longer, but I know of two you can take off, you have Fantasy Fanatics twice so you can take one of them off and December to Remember was really a joke (not a good one, but a joke nontheless).

IMHO, the name should either reference cruising or the Fantasy in some way. We also need to think of how we can work the name into a logo, so we need to consider that as well when we choose a name.

For instance, I could see a hidden mickey with an elf hat on, that would be cute if we were the Fantasy Cruisin' Elves , or a ship with a couple of elves dancing on top....I'm not good at stuff like that, but you knwo what I mean, don't you?

Your right, I really enjoy having people over and having dinner, I love Christmas eve, we always have such a good time, I get to see my two nephews (adults) that I dont see the rest of the year, and we just sit at the table for hours and talk and laugh....I love it.
So I do complain some, but I like having family over for dinners.

I'm an OK cook.....I usually go with things I know I can cook well and stick with those, I am not one for having people try a new receipe of mine...I save that for Wally only!!:rotfl: Altho I did make Kugalis for Christmas eve last year for the first time and it was a huge hit!!:thumbsup2

I would also agree to give it a little longer, and again I agree with Stephanie, we need something that reflects the Fantasy.....and something that we can get a logo for.

Well gotta run

:wave2:

Our first sailing on the Magic back in 2006, our name was the "nanaheads"

our T-shirts read "Nanaheads taking over the Magic"

The second cruise with the nanaheads, we did the Western and we had the picture on the back of the shirt with the saying written in Spanish, and at this time I cannot remember what it exactly said, when I get home I will check on the back of my t-shirt.

:wave2:

Go Nanaheads....

These are the 2 that have my vote so far: Caribbean Cavorters and Fantasy Sunseekers,

Top of page again, Phil!!!! you are on a roll!:rotfl:

What, you didn't like "Dave and Stephanie's 35th anniversary?" :confused3

:lmao:

Fantasy Sunseekers...
I could see using that graphic of the back of two beach chairs on the beach with Mickey and Minnie in them, and the ship off the beach a bit. Do you know what one I mean?
and in the sand "Fantasy Sunseekers"

And if we made shirts it could say something on the back like....

"Seeking fun in the sun on the Disney Fantasy" or "Seeking fun and sun on the Disney Fantasy"

Please give the decision making a bit longer, I'm using my phone at the moment and finding it a bit hard to navigate- I'm used to using my laptop at home.

So far this week I've seen the Napoleon and Josephine exhibition at the art gallery, the Mesopotamia exhibition at the museum, visited the Old Melbourne Gaol (the last time I was there was on an excursion as a kid), visited an old school friend, went to my first sung Mass, shopped a little, bought a souvenir Starbucks travel mug for a friend I made on our last cruise who lives in San Fran, and basically pottered about my old home town. My aunty is picking me up this afternoon from my hotel and I spend the rest of my week with my nana.

I keep finding things in the souvenir shops that I think would make great FE additions, but then I realise I'll have to store them...

Oh, no fear!! Just kicking around ideas. I just had an idea as to what could be done with the one name and threw it out there. I thought it sounded ok.....
