Happy Saturday!!!
Hope everyone is raring to go...I'm still feeling the excitement of doing our excursions I'm having trouble settling down!

I am so ready for this cruise, I need away from work in the worst way. I'm on the road to some serious burn-out lately.

I am traveling with Dee, I let her do all the "hi-tec" stuff.
I just retired from Govt work and now I am working part-time at a travel-trailer store. The other time I a taking care of Dad, 83 and doing my sewing!
I am SOOOO looking forward to this cruise
I have been on lots of cruises, but this will be my second Disney, which I enjoy!
I will try to check in more often, I said try. I am sooo busy, doing what, not sure.

Good morning Sue!!! I'm 6.5 years away from retiring from Govt work and sooooo can't wait!!! LOL
This will be our 11th Disney cruise...and 11th cruise!

Ok, why does everyone that retires say they are busier now than when the were working?? Both of my sisters have told me this....hmmmmm I better hurry and retire so I can find out what everyone is busy doing??

I'm miles away from retiring but I can assure you I will not be busy at all I'll be pottering about with my dogs in my garden and laying in a hammock under a tree with a pile of books

that's right up my idea of retirement, though my books are lying next to my chaise lounge under a big umbrella next to the pool.

I think people are busier when they retire because they get to do the things they love all the time without the constraints of having to be in work 5+ days a week.

While I agree with your statement, I also think I would feel the need to clean the house more.... and that is something that I really don't "love"...but I guess I would find something that I really love to do....take more cruise's

I'll give that a thumbs up! I LOVE to travel--itchy feet But I also practice Tai Chi and Qigong several days each week, ride my bike, go for walks, volunteer for a couple of different organizations, meet some of my old colleagues for lunch on Fridays, and visit my son's high school special education class (which used to be my class!). Just where does the time go??!?

I too am far from retirement, about 13-15 years, but I can tell you my parents were way busier when they were retired, projects, traveling etc.

I have no doubt...but doing things they WANT not things they MUST!

Good Monday Morning:

Another work week is here.... Why do weekends go so fast??

Talking rain moving in late morning, hopefully we get some rain, my garden needs it, but I washed my car yesterday, so in that respect I kinda hope it passes me by...

I am hoping to retire in 7 years....my daughter will have her 20 years in military in 6-7 years, so we should be retiring together.... and she is sooo much younger than me.....but I am so looking forward to it.

Chuck, hope all is fine in your neck of the world...don't know exactly where you live down there. A friend JUST moved to Clermont last week!

Luckily, she's far enough away from that isn't an issue.
