December 7, 2013 - Winter Fantasy Cruise

I know it seems like such a long way away, but it will come around soon enough and then we'll all be wondering where the time went and complaining we haven't got everything ready! Or is that just me?

Mary-Ann...I was updating the roll call and pics and noticed you had said yes to the FE but didn't sign up. Just wanted to remind you in case you forgot. plenty of time though

Well, I still haven't heard from the T/A about my full payment and I'll need to chase it up again. I won't be cancelling and even if I had to it would be covered by travel insurance Nope, we're locked in to that date (the following cruise is way too much for us to pay out for )

Another working day over for me so now it's time to relax and contemplate what we're having for dinner.

Anyway, hoping this week goes fast, I have to work a few hours on saturday, but at least will have Monday off for Labor day.....I cant belive its labor day already, where did the summer go????

It was so hot in the month of July here, we ended up staying in most of the time.

I was already looking at excursions....is it to early to start looking??

Ok , so call me crazy...but since I dont have such good luck on a lot of things, I went ahead last night and booked our hotel for the night before our cruise. We discussed staying at Disney one night, but changed our minds and we are going to stay at the Radisson at Port....

Our curise last year, I waited till January to book for October and they were booked already...so just trying to be pro-active. So now I will book my limo service as soon as I book I flights.

Its been only 10 months since my last cruise and I feel like its been years....I am so ready for this cruise.

She was booked on the cruise and had to cancel and we had to move the date. I had a typo is was 2010. Kathy is a sweet lady and wish I had the chance to meet her.

Its Friday evening...(altho I have to work 3 hours tomorrow) so a 3 day weekend.....then I work 3 days and have 4 off......

Pretty quiet here to. We are getting some of "Issac" here...been overcast and raining on and off, supposed to be that way most of the 3 day...
of course, come Tuesday and it will beautiful and sunny out.....

Because I'm a planner...

We're looking at staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for the week before our cruise. How far is it from there to the port? Are we better off booking in to somewhere close to the port the night before we sail? If so, where would be a good, cheap place to stay?

I like the idea of a name for the group but I still cannot think of anything. Matching t-shirts would be a great idea, too, as would catching up the night before. If we stayed near the port we could do that easily. The day before the cruise sails is when our summer school holidays begin so we're leaving a week earlier to spend the time at WDW before the cruise

I try to call it being pro-active...

Just wish it would sell so I would know where we will be. If we are still up here... I will probably book a night or 2 at BLT or AKV pre-cruise just in case.

I have to say I have never herded cats...lol but I know that feeling. I would love for my daughter and son-in-law and grandaughter to come along. I keep pestering err I mean asking them, but they are military and trying to get a commitment from them is one huge chore. My daughter does not make reservations till 2 weeks out......no I am not kidding, when I ask her to think about coming, I get, I cant plan that far in advance....drives me crazy

Ooooooo, selling houses. The last time we sold was the worst 3 months of our life! Our first house sold after the first viewing - the first person to see it bought it, the second time was at a slow time in the market and I hated every minute of it. Developers in nearby housing estates were liquidating their stock so their prices were low and despite our 4 bed/2 bath/2 living etc house being the same in that way as theirs, but ours was much bigger and with more inclusions, nobody was willing to pay extra for that . Good luck with yours.

Well, off to a half-day of work shortly - better than nothing to contribute to our holiday fund

I've not herded cats either but I have tried to walk a class full of 4 and 5 year olds to the library at school a few times and while they are so delightful at that age they have such a short attention span - oh, look, a bird...
