We decided to go to CA today rather then deal with the insanity at DL. We have a DS1 and DS3. I knew they wouldn't make it until midnight anyway. I was shocked how empty CA was. I think the longest wait we had was Soaring (we didn't do TSMM). Everything else was about 5-10 minute waits. The kids had a blast! DS3 loved the Phineas and Ferb show. He was out there strutting his stuff. We had to do it twice. I wonder how many times we'll end up doing it between now and next Saturday?

Not sure if we are going to go to the park tomorrow or enjoy the awesome Cali weather by the pool. 80 in January - yeah baby!

Reports are making it sounds like yesterday's crowds and the past few days scared a lot of people off from coming today.

The situation in WDW was much worse today.

/\ I'm not sure I agree with that summation. DL stopped admitting anyone without a handstamp (including premium APs who had not yet entered) around 7:30/8:00pm on NYE. I'd call that pretty busy.

Happy 2012 all,
Dreams

Are the fireworks ay DL back ?

Yes they have run the last couple nights, however it got very foggy in the evening and you could barely see them. Many seemed to understand that weather can't be controlled, and many were pissed at Disney.

Much better than a year ago, and people expected a repeat but it turned out much better.

Our experience has always been that people get so caught up in "Being In DISNEYLAND For New Years!" that DL is packed and DCA is nice and roomy.

We were supposed to be there this weekend but the kiddo broke his foot and we've had to postpone. :( Glad you had a good time, though.
