December 26, 2006, on the MAGIC!!!!

Hi Kim,
Happy New Year.
We had a blast. The weather the first 2 days was a little chilly but the day on CC and last day on the ship was fantastic!!!!
It did not seem too overcrowded to me. All 13 of us are ready to go again :yay:
We ended up eating at a bar/restaurant Christmas night in Cocoa Beach called the Pig and Whistle. My kids got a kick out of this.
All the advise you gave was extreemly helpful, thanks.
I assume the parks were very crowded?

Happy New Year!

Sorry did not get to meet a lot of you.

We had a blast! Even though it was our first time in Cat 11, it wasn't so bad! Well, no room for luggage but we managed!

Weather was beautiful! We certainly were blessed with that! I managed to get sunburned on CC and had to stay indoors on Sea Day but did a few things that I haven't done before, like the Art of Entertaining!

Hey everybody!!! How was the cruise??? I was at WDW for Dec. 26, 27, and 28, and thought about you guys all afternoon on the 26th. I hope you had a MAGICal trip!!! I just saw all this silliness about the overbooking--I've never heard of this happening... Did it seem ridiculously crowded? I think it almost always sails near capacity anyway... Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Hi Kim:

Great to hear from you. We had a great time. Looking forward to sailing with you sometime in the future.

Take care,
Sandra

Kim, thanks for posting. Glad you got to enjoy WDW.

We did not get to meet anyone--or if we did never made the connection. Since the meetup was at the Mickey pool, and the weather wasn't great that day, we didn't make it. Sounds like everyone had a great time.

What did everyone think of the band? I had heard they were painful to listen to before cruising. I heard thm one night in Rockin Bar D before the juggler and although they were not great, they were okay and seem to be trying so hard. A CM said they are worn out from doing so many shows a day, and were fantastic when they first came on.

Wish we had better weather in nassau, but the next 2 days were perfect.

Sorry we never met up, but anyone in Diversions probably met my husband--he has a bar stool--or two --with his name iin there and was happy to see several bartenders he knew from other cruises.

Who did everyone have for servers? We had Alex and Antonio. Lots of tricks and extras for us!!

Well to put it politely, they were not up to par!

I definately do not want them on the 14 day cruise! Even after a few drinks, where they should have started to sound better, they just got worse! I just kept thinking how lucky the people on the Wonder were to have a DJ!

Oh, goodness! Sorry for that cold weather... We live in DeLand, which is only about 30 miles from the port as the crow flies... we had tornadoes here on Christmas Day (the day before you cruised!) so we were a bit spooked... they touched down about 4 miles from us, so we had no damage, but did have 65 mph winds... from nothing to OMIGOSH LOOKAT THAT in about 2 seconds! Glad it was planned as an indoor day.

Well, I do hope it was MAGICal. We're looking forward to the 7-day Western the first week of December this year. I sure wish I could talk hubby ino the Panama Canal positioning cruise in 2008 (which I do believe will be happening, but who knows for sure...) The problem would just be getting him on a plane for the return voyage! :rotfl2: Here I am... a pilot for 21 years... married to a guy who hates flying----> :scared1:

Is anybody going late this year anytime???

Right now nothing is planned, since I am taking 3 weeks off in August to do Paris for one including DLP and the Repo Cruise.

I have snuck in a couple of days in for after our Thanksgiving, your Columbus Day Weekend, to go to Busch Gardens, F&W and MNSSHP!

Next cruise isn't until March 2008, unless of course these rumours of West Coast are wrong and they do something that I'm interested in!

I loved it so much I would love to go again. Looks like November is a good month???
I have had 2 dreams, since the cruise, that we did a 7 night one :rotfl:

It would not take much to convince my husband. :flower3:

We had a good time on the ship. Cant remember our assistant server, but Depeek was our server and Ronald was the head server. We had quite a bit of just wandering around time. Dominique spent quite a bit of time in the clubs. She had a blast on CC and we had a good time in Nassau. We took the water taxi over to Atlantis and looked around a bit. I played a few slots in the casino, we went and looked at the aquarium and that was about it. It was different having a teen with us, she stayed with us rather than in the teen stack. We were in a cat 11 and it was pretty tight. Dont think we want to try that again.
We are looking at the May Repo cruise. Kids are free (except for taxes and port charges).

Is that May this yer--the one to take her to Europe??? That'd be fun. And yes, November is a good month! Last time we went was in mid-November, and the weather was wonderful. I just hope the weather this year is as good as it was last year during early December! If I'm taking the kiddo out of school, it better be worth it.

Hi Kim:

We booked the med cruise for June 27 when we were onboard this December. Our 21 year old daughter really wanted to do that one and just couldn't find anyone who would be able to go so we decided we would do it with her. Not hard to talk me into doing a Disney cruise. We are very excited about it. We have a 7 day cruise booked with NCL for December 2007. We may end up cancelling that one now that we have booked the med cruise but will just leave it for now and see how things go.

Take care.
