Thanks Disney Rocks, that is what I thought.
We did the week before Christmas one year, early in the week it was great, but got more crowded the closer to Christmas it became.
Maybe we will just enjoy the cruise and then go back to Virginia!!!

Yes, I need a cruise too. It is taking too long to get to December. I think about the Disney Magic leaving every Saturday and wish I was on it. One day it will be our turn again.

Hey guys I haven't checked in on this thread for a long time. We have tons of stuff going on. The bad thing is we might have to cancel our cruise. We're suppose to transfer out of FL in Feb, but now it looks like we might have to transfer in December in order to get the orders that we want. Wish us luck, because I really want to go on this cruise

Oh, I do hope you get what you want!!! After years of dealing with the military assignments system, I know what you're going through... I always hated being at someone else's mercy as to when/where my family would spend the next 3 years of our lives. Sure hope you stay with us!!!

Hi All! We jsut booked the 12-26 Magic this week and I am ready to board NOW! I can't believe I have to wait almost 8 months!

This will be our first time cruising with children (the boys will be 6 & 4 when we sail) and we are taking my dad, too.

I just realized that I need to make a new ticker! I'll be sure to add that later tonight.

Hi Hillary! Welcome Aboard! I feel the same way--I hate to wait that long!!! It'll be here before we know it, though! I cannot WAIT to go through those mouse ears to get on the ship! And seriously, I WILL read at least two chapters of the new Passporter tonight--will let you know if much has changed. I've got my old one out, too!!! (Okay, I'll try anyway... just realized what time it was!)

I will also be cruising with DD15 on this cruise. I booked it while we were on the Christmas cruise this past Christmas. The DISboards help me with the waiting for the next cruise.
We are headed to WDW in a month to check out the Disney vacation Club home on the DVC memebership I bought on the same cruise. It was an EXPENSIVE cruise
I am in suburban Philadelphia and can't wait to meet all of you!!!

Hi Sharon! So happy to hear you're a DVC'er now! We bought Saratoga Springs sight unseen while on the Magic a couple of years ago--what a GREAT investment! You won't be disappointed, I can assure you! We love it. Matter of fact, I need to call over there and make some ressies...

Hey ya'll. We are trying to decide about this cruise. Will the Magic still be decorated for the Holidays? We are limited as to when we can travel. there are 3 of us. Me my friend and My 6 yo granddaughter. If we can swing it, this will be our 6th disney cruise. We hope to be able to join ya'll.

That's too funny, ladypoo! We moved there in 1970--I was almost 7 years old. I graduated from LHS in 1981, and Valdosta State COLLEGE (not a university then) in 1984, then went to flight school for the Air Force. Have visited only a few times since then, but will be returning in October for my 25th high school reunion. I have an Aunt, Uncle, and cousins in Lakeland--one of the cousins is an asst. professor over at the college. I lived in Academy Acres (if it's still called that).

For anybody who is planning on going to the parks after this cruise....beware! I did the holiday cruise last year and planned on going to the parks for New Year's Eve. iF YOU PLAN TO DO SO...BE ADVISED THAT THE PARKS OFTEN REACH CAPACITY EARLY IN THE DAY AND CLOSE!

It is still called that. My babysitter lives in that vicentity(sp)...that is too cool. I moved over here in '85, and have worked at the hospital since then.

We have done EPCOT the last 2 years and it was crowded, but managable. Now 3 years ago we did the MK and it was terrible. I said Never again.

Our solution to the crowded park problem is to visit the Kennedy Space Center for the weekend and head to the parks on Jan. 1 or 2. Hopefully, the worst of the crowds will have died down by then.
