December 26, 2006, on the MAGIC!!!!

Ladypoo--where do you work in SGMC? The only person I know that still works there is someone who does NOT like me (there are probably less than 5 of those in the world, but she's one of them). Oh well... live and learn. It'll be nice to meet you! I'm going to be a stranger in my own hometown in October--I haven't been back in years. We're going to the LHS Homecoming Game (I think it's Homecoming that weekend) and then have some kind of dinner party at the country club on that Saturday night. Frankly, I'm just looking forward to seeing my aunt and uncle! And some old friends, of course... I'll probably take my DS with me. Hubby is NOT interested. :confused3

Hi Everybody!

I just booked this today! SHHHHHHH Don't tell anybody! :lmao: :lmao:

I'm not suppose to be doing any trips after our Member Cruise!

I caved!

Looking forward to sailing with you all!

janet :wave2:

(it's just me and DD14)

Welcome Aboard, Janet! Looking forward to sailing with you and your daughter. This will be our second cruise. Well I guess actually it would be considered our third cruise. We did one in December 2005, we are doing the 10-day holiday cruise in December 2006 and then added this four-day cruise to the end of the 10 days. We are very excited about it.

Take care,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

We were suppose to be on the 10-day cruise but cancelled due to the fact that we will be on the August Repo in 2007.

When I found out that we have between Christmas and New Year's off....... And since I got bookings at BCV before and managed to get VWL for after the cruise! I couldn't resist! This will be our sixth cruise

BTW, you will love being on the ship that long!

I'm looking forward to see the ship all decked out in it's Holiday Gear!

Only thing, becuase I have left it so long, have late dining and plus I'm a GTY Cat 7! Never had experienced any of those scenes before. Should be interesting!

Hi Jeanette:

Welcome to you and your family. We are really looking forward to our cruise. We have a seven year old daugther as well so maybe they will end up playing together in the children's area. She will be eight by the time we are on the ship.

Take care.

Hi Janet and Jeanette! So happy to see more folks on our cruise! :goodvibes I've been swamped with my coursework, plus grading term papers for a class I teach... have been off the board TOO long!!!! I'll get back to working on our web page maybe this weekend. I hope it'll turn out nice! I think our group's still pretty small... they seem to work better with a real crowd, but it looks nice so far. :yay:

Hi Kim!

We have a website? KEWL!

You would think there would be more of us considering there is little availability!

Oh Well, at least we won't have a problem picking a spot for the meet! :lmao:

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Has anybody sailed during this time frame before? What's the weather like? We went in January our first cruise and froze! Well for me it was balmy! But I remember the Bahamians had a few layers of clothing on and the cruise prior to us didn't even get off the boat to go to CC!

Anybody care to predict?

We were at CC on December 23, 2005 and it was absolutely beautiful. It must have been in the high 80's I would think. It was a very hot day anyhow and the beach was packed. We only had one cool day on our seven day cruise and that was around Mexico.

Tale care. We can't wait to be sailing again.

Hi Janet! Yes, I've been building a website for us, but we still have so few folks on our thread... If you get the urge, check it out--it's not finished, but on its way! I'll send oyu a PM with the website URL. I don't want to put it on the thread--folks might not want to advertise themselves to the world, so I'm trying to keep it just among our cruisers!
Kim :thumbsup2

I thought there would be more people on this cruise--we are deciding whether to go or not. just got off the Magic today and would love to see all the Christmas decorations, etc.

Beth

Hi Beth! Yeah, from what I understand, the shorter cruises don't get quite as much activity on the DIS boards as the 7-nighters. Of course, you can expect the ship to sail full, as usual! :rotfl: This will be our first 4-night cruise, and then we'll take another 7-night cruise next year, first week of December. The ship looks fantastic with all the Christmas decorations. I figure that I can probably get away with taking my son out of school maybe every other year for a week! He starts at a new school this year, so I need to kinda feel them out about their policy.

It looks like everyone here has girls.
My son, Brandon is 10 and Blake will be just shy of 18-he starts college in aug. Anyone with college age kids going--I know that is usually a small group.

I am surprised so few dis members are on this cruise since it is over the holidays.

Beth--My son Luke is 7, and will probably be going to the Oceaneer Lab this time, if he spends any time in the clubs. He's big for 7 (my 95th percentile kid!). If nobody told you he was 7, you'd think he was closer to 10! :goodvibes

I think Brandon doesn't really care about the age as long as he has someone to hang around with some of the time.
On our recent cruise he met 2 boys through the boards and they played together on Castaway and at the pool. The cruise we were on last week had SOOO many dis members--we made some great friends, so I'm hoping we can all meet up onboard.
