December 21st - WONDERful Christmas - 5 night - CC for Christmas Day

My family will be on this cruise as the first of a Back to Back - happy that we'll get 2 chances for good weather at Castaway Cay!

I have no idea how to find the Facebook group, so if someone could post a link here that would be appreciated. :)

Our travelling family is DH & I mid 40's and 2 sons ages 15 & 18. I'm a bit concerned about them staying happily occupied onboard & at Castaway Cay. It would be better if they were either both the ages for Vibe or both at least 18 so they could hang with us at the "Adult" offerings including Serenity Bay. As the 18 year old is off to college in the fall, it may be our last big family vacation and we look forward to re-connecting with him after his first semester away at college.

Hi! My DD (10) and I (40) will be on this cruise. I requested to be added to the FB group too. Looking to participate in fish extender if one is being organized. This will be our first cruise and looking forward to making it even more special.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers! Apparently, I've been hanging out on the wrong thread for months!

We're a family of 6 in two cabins.
Myself and DH Bruce (honorary Grandparents)
Nina & Julio (the Parents)
Janna 8 and Jayda 7 (The grand daughters)

This will be my 20th Disney Cruise, my husband's 15th, and the kids 5th.

Is your facebook group a closed group? If It isn't, I recommend that it should be by invitation only, so that the general public can't see when you are going to be away, for security sake.

Also, if there is an FE or other list where people's names and stateroom numbers can be associated, on this public forum - they should definitely be listed by "stage name" ie LindaBabe, rather than real name, again, for security.

Has anyone stepped up to organize the FE exchange?

DH & I will be at OKW the three days prior, but the kids will be driving in the day of, because of school. I booked the Candlelight Dinner Package for Friday night. Probably the only ADR I will make, we'll have plenty of eating opportunities on the ship. Afterwards, I think we'll spend a few days in Miami. We've never been, other than "passing through" but Julio has family there.

Typically, Disboarders meet informally in the promenade lounge at 3 pm on embarkation day, to meet each other and so the kiddos can meet and make friends before the kids club. It might be something to consider.

Happy Planning!

This will be our first cruise and cannot wait. Our party includes daughter,17 and son, 19 ( who just finished first year of college.) Our daughter wants to know if she is too old for fish extenders. ;)

NO! Your daughter is not too old for Fish extenders! We're in our 60s and WE still do it.

The link to the facebook page is on the first page of this thread (I just found it too). Apparently, there's an FE exchange already been organized over there, which no body thought to post over here. It appears all the action is over on facebook.:confused3:sad1:

Thank you. She is not the only one that would like to do the fish extenders. I have applied to the facebook group and hope to hear from them soon. We are so ready for this trip.

Lots of new people! Welcome. :) I think I have added all of you to the FB group. If not, shoot me a PM. :)

Hi! I'm going to be on this cruise with my parents and my sister. Are there any other twenty-somethings on this boat?:santa:

I'm late 20s and DH is early 30s with no kids. :)

I can not send a visitor or pm message to anyone as I do not have enough general post yet. I am working on that. In the meantime, if Juanita Meigs could be added to the facebook group, it would be appreciated. I have requested on facebook but our satellite internet and facebook do not always get along. Thank you for your help. Juanita

With less than 4 months to go, football will make the time pass faster. I am still trying to figure out the logistics of getting down to Miami and then back to DisneyWorld for 3 nights after the cruise. Airplane costs are high with it being so close to Christmas. My high school daughter does not want to miss her last day on Friday on Dec 19th but flights are much better on Friday compared to Saturday.

I had thought of Disney W right after the Cruise but instead we are going soon in October pirate:

Plane tickets were not bad with the sale for us on SW recently but now yikes!!!

We are so excited to be taking our kids on a Christmas cruise! Looking to be added to this group and trying to find information on a fish extender group? Any tips for first timers would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The easiest way to get to WDW from Miami is probably to rent a car and drive. Do you already have reservations at WDW? (I HOPE)

Has anyone started a roll call?

We would love to do the Fish Extenders, we are the McLoughlin Family, Patrick, Kim and Evelyn (5 year old) This is our first cruise and excited but new to the DIS Board and posts and how to communicate and sign up, any advice or directions would be great
