Checking in !!!!!
Dec 1 - 4th, DLH.

2016 has been a fun year.

April / May - 7 days with 6 family members celebrating my Mom's 86 birthday & Dapper Days. Split stay at DGC & DLH.

Mid August with a family group of 10 for 5 days for the Diamond Celebration. It was fabulous!

Returning in Dec due to winning a trip !!!!! Yay ! Christmas time at DL !
I'm soooo excited !!!

Thanks for starting this thread.

Wow, what an incredible Disney-filled year you're having! How many people are traveling with you in December?

We are going Dec 3 - 10. Staying first night in Capistrano Beach, spending the weekend doing beach stuff, then at Dolphin's Cove with in-law's timeshare.
Park days M-F with hoppers. It will be me, DH, DS(8), DS(6), DD(2), DD(2.5 months), MIL, & FIL.

Our daughter's 2nd birthday is our first park day, super excited for her to experience everything for the first time, and for my boys to get back for their third trip. DS(6) is pumped that he will get to ride RSR this time, he was too short on our 2012 and 2013 trips. Both boys are looking forward to Jedi Training Academy too, they watched the Star Wars movies with DH this summer.

Checking in! The Disney portion of our vacation begins in Nov but our December dates are Dec 1-3, GCV, one bedroom. :woohoo:

This may sound silly, but it is fun for me seeing that you are going in December, because I've read all of your trip reports, so I feel like I sort of "know" you, haha! I hope you and your family have a wonderful trip!

DS and I are going December 9th to the 11th. Staying at the Swan. Hooking up with my DN and her family during the weekend. DW is taking a break from Disney this time around. Should be a magical time at WDW with just my DS. He's looking forward to the trip, but he says he'll miss his mom.

Sorry, but posted to the wrong thread by mistake. I can say we have been to DL once during a summer trip.

You're sweet, thank you. I started one like 2 years ago and let it fail miserably. I thought about doing one for our next two trips.

Have fun celebrating your daughter's 2nd birthday! Love celebrating in the parks.

Thank you! We bought a Minnie Mouse 2nd birthday card to have characters sign for her, instead of an autograph book. I saw that tip somewhere on the boards here, and loved it!

We are going to have to do something big and fun for DS(6)'s birthday in February, since we are going to be at Disneyland over DD's birthday, and this past January happened to have a destination wedding in Mexico that fell over DS(8)'s birthday. While neither were technically planned as trips for celebrating birthdays, we don't want DS(6) to feel slighted, like his birthday is less important or worthy of doing something major like that. Won't be as grand of scale of course, but we are thinking a night or two at a hotel with a waterpark, and a day at the theme park at Mall of America, sort of a "stay-cation" over his birthday.

Woot! I've been waiting for this thread to start. We will be heading down Dec 5-10. I haven't been to DL in about 15 years and DH and our 3 kids have never been. I'm so excited to be going and the fact that we're going during the holiday season makes it that much better. We "splurged" and will be staying in a 1 bedroom at GCV

Sounds like you'll have fun celebrating!

I'm taking my DS (36), DDIL (27), GD 9 & GD 7. We were all part of the August group. Looking forward to much cooler weather. Doing Jedi Training again. It's great ! I'm so glad that it's now a "sign-up" to participate.

Yay ! That's nice both boys can ride RSR. That is soooo fun !

That sounds like a fun bday! I hear you though on trying to keep it all fair and balanced. Our middle DD's bday is Dec 21 and every year we end up celebrating in Disney. Never on her bday but she doesn't care. The other two are like: what are we chopped liver. :lmao: For once the middle child comes out ahead. ;)

My husband, 5 year old son, and myself will be seeing Disneyland at Christmastime for the first time this year! We'll be visiting December 4th-9th. Not sure where we will be staying yet.

We are so excited because we'll be purchasing annual passes on our trip for the first time. Can't wait to start our year of Disney!

How old are your kids? All of our trips will have been this first week in December, we love the decorations and everything, but I do wish we could experience the "sh-boom" song in Cars Land.

We are visiting November 30 - Dec 3 and staying at the Carousel. It's the first time my hubby and I have done Disney without kids since we went there on our honeymoon 22 years ago!

A trip without kids sounds relaxing! I am glad my in-laws will be with this time, it will be nice to do a few rides with my husband. We've used Rider Swap in the past for rides that our younger son wasn't tall enough for. I remember reading your "We're Cancelling Christmas" Disneyland TR when we were planning our first trip.

How exciting to be getting APs! Has your son been to Disneyland before?

Oops, missed yours in my multi-quote! Are all 3 of your kids going with on this trip?

So 2016 was supposed to be a break year from Disneyland for us, mainly because of the construction. Instead we did a WDW/HHI split trip in May and originally booked a Disney cruise for December. Turns out I just can't stay away from Disneyland at the holidays! Bumped the cruise to March and added a week at WDW pre cruise to make up for the delay and Disneyland here I come! December 6 to 10. Celebrating my birthday on the 7th keeps that tradition going but unfortunately costs us Candlelight. Pretty sad about that, this will be my first time missing it since we started planning trips to see it instead of trips to avoid it (lol, but crowds....) in 2012 when it ran all those extra nights. This is also our last time staying at Hojos which has been our go to hotel for the past 14 years. So this will be an interesting trip! And about that break year....well I had to see the 60th shows just one last time, right? Yes, we went a few weeks ago. Obviously I shouldn't plan on taking whole years off again!

Checking in! Coming over from Australia, very excited :)

We will be at Disneyland Hotel from 30 Nov - 2 Dec, and then at the Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance from 5 Dec - 9 Dec.

Looking forward to cooler weather - Dec in Oz is sooo hot.
