December 2013: We just booked!

My family is booked for 12/4 12/9 at AllStar Movies. Daughter will be 4 & this will be BOTH of our first trip to WDW!!!!

This is just my second post but now that its less then 6 months, I am having trouble containing my excitement.!

Congrats on your first trip! You picked a great time to go. Just be prepared, once you visit during the holidays, it's hard to go any other time of the year. And what a great age to take your daughter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

we will be flying in on November 30th and staying until December 11...very excited to be staying at the Treehouses...already started a pile of some Christmas decorations to take down with us!!

So...over the three days...I've booked our multi-room, multi-family, split-stay December/January trip..I spent pert-near the whole day yesterday on-line, on-the-phone...sometimes both, booking stuff, adjusting park days, "verifying" park hours, etc. etc...booking, booking, booking.
Woke up this morning and the flight prices had changed. Drastically. AGAIN!
For the 9 of us, even a "small" price fluctuation can amount to some serious coin. So.....
I've spent a huge amount of time today...doing many of the same things I did yesterday. My Frain is Bried , but I think I "saved" over a thousand Disney Dollars, (or USA dollars)! Even with that "new math".
Probably lost almost that much in business though.

Oh yeah, I snagged the elusive ADR...something about somebody being someone's guest.....

Great time to be there! I've been that week 7 times and it's probably one of the best weeks of the year IMO Crowds are fairly low (don't think we've ever had over a hour wait, most waits are much less) and you get the Christmas decorations! Also, weather is usually decent. 1 year of the ones we were there it was cold, but all the other were really nice.

I just booked our "bonus" trip for myself, DH, and two oldest grandchildren, DGS, 7 and DGD 3. We will be celebrating our wedding anniversary (we were married at Disney on one of the bestest, happiest, days of my life!) DGS' birthday, and DGD first visit...so many blessings!

We have a big family trip planned for December, 2016, but DH and I decided we can't wait until then, besides, we want those grandkids to ourselves! So our daughter and son-in-law are being very generous in letting us share the magic with the kids.

We are staying at POR, our first time at that resort. We love WL and usually stay there but are saving that for our 2016 trip.

Our trip is Dec. 4-the 10th. So excited! We always go in December, love it then! Agree with poster that said once you go then, it is hard to go any other time!

I'll be in WDW to celebrate my 40th Birthday from Dec 1st to the 7th, this will be my first Disney trip and also my first solo trip, I'm a little nervous but incredibly excited.

I got my CP package this morning for Christmas Eve. I am excited that I got where my family would like to eat at lunch.

On the flip side of this coin, as a mom, I can't wait for my son to see WDW with his Grandma. There's something special about a grandparent/grandchild relationship, and I think it's super sweet you're taking your 2 during the holiday season.

That sounds like a fun trip! And don't focus on the worries of traveling solo, concentrate on the pluses! Less wait time on some rides that have single rider queues (if you enjoy those particular rides), easier time getting ADRs, not having to do anything because someone else wants to. I spent a little time in Epcot before, and I gotta admit, it was a blast. I was able to walk at my own speed, browse the stores when I wanted and for however long I wanted, and I got to enjoy the parks at a slower pace.
I'm sure you're going to have a great time!

We booked the CP for the date and time we wanted of 12/11 for the 8:15 pm performance at our second choice Chefs de France. We wanted Coral Reef so what we did was booked that for lunch another day we are visiting EPCOT.

I got a CP rez at Chefs too, on Dec 3 (which is still saying TBA, I think!) Got it for lunch at 230pm, I'm guessing that's the 5pm show? Just what I wanted.

And I got a CRT rez minutes later! Can't wait to spring this all on my daughter

Been booked for a while but finally wandered over here. I'm super excited to finally being able to visit WDW during the holiday season. Christmas is my favorite time of year so I've been wanting to go to Disney at this time for years. We'll be there 12/8 to 12/14. It's also my first trip using our DVC points. We're spending one night at Saratoga Springs and the rest at AK.

It's our first time during Christmas season. My Mom, myself and DD are all set up for December 13-17. The 15th will be DD's 5th bday so this will be extra special, I'm doing the happy dance since I've got ressies at BBB then breakfast at CRT to follow and dinner at Crystal Palace that night. I'm really stressing over this trip. I want it to be perfect.

This is so weird! I have a younger brother who is taking his first trip to WDW in December to celebrate his 40th....and he's going solo.....and he lives in Las Vegas. You two really ought to get together.
