December 2013: We just booked!

2 days away from booking my ADRs! Can't believe I've almost hit the 180 days mark. I always feel like the week or two leading up to my dining reservations fly by, because I'm busy trying to figure out where and when to eat. Then, once I have the tentative plan sorted out, the dates drag by. :lmao:

Anyone have any must-do's as far as restaurants go?

I really want to eat breakfast at CP, if only so I can get to MK early in the morning and take some photos of my little one on Main Street. I'm also hoping to try 'Ohana for the first time. Have heard nothing but great reviews about the place and have wanted to try it for some time now, just couldn't break DH away from Kona. :rotfl2:

Good morning December Dis'ers!
It's not really morning. It's about noon here. But I was up this morning from about 4:40 til about 6:30 after not getting to bed til after midnight last night.

Why up so early? Well it was my all important ADR day today!

I started trying to make our reservations at 'Ohana right at 5 cst, and kept getting the message "We're sorry, there is a problem searching for reservations at this time." !! So I tried Whispering Canyon and got the same message. So I tried Tusker House and it worked! Some restaurants would go through and some wouldn't. I have no idea why. And Crystal Palace would go all the way through taking my cc deposit and then give me the angry Donald image saying there was a problem.

I tried searching different ways - like just putting in the date and seeing what was open - but no luck. Some days would work and some wouldn't. Eventually it rolled around to 6am cst and I got on the phone. The voice mail recognition didn't like what I was saying so they transfered me to a real human (thank Mickey) and the friendly CM got me all set up. I ended up with everything I wanted, at pretty much the times I wanted - including a bonus just before closing reservation at Be Our Guest!

So all in all, I think it went great. I'm certainly very happy at least. :cheer2:

Here's a list of where we're eating:

Sci Fi Dine In Theatre Lunch
Be Our Guest Dinner
San Angel Inn Lunch
Tusker House Breakfast
Via Napoli Lunch
1900 Park Fare Breakfast
50s Prime Time Cafe Lunch
'Ohana Dinner
Crystal Palace Breakfast
Whispering Canyon Dinner

Since I'm staying more than 10 days :goodvibes, I'll have to do it all over again a couple more times this week, but I don't mind.

Good luck to the rest of you!!

Tomorrow is our ADR day, too. :)

I've made a "cheat sheet" with the resort reservation number, the WDW dining phone number and a list of our ADR's, including times and dates. I really hope I got the ones that we want, since I don't really have a backup plan. :confused3

I made a chart with dates, park hours, and rank for each park (meaning crowd level) to get a general idea of what park we would do each day and whether or not my preferred restaurants fit into the plan. It really helped to see it all laid out like that.

I did something very similar. I'm going to try online first, and then is no luck I'll call.

Looks good! I wanted to try San Angel Inn this time, but I couldn't fit it in.

I had the same problem this morning - I could not make ADRs online, so I called at 7am and got everything I wanted:

LTT lunch
Y&Y dinner
Le Cellier lunch
Ohana dinner
Biergarten lunch
BOG dinner
Ohana breakfast

Now just waiting for the CP packages to be released!

Good luck to everyone who has their 180 day coming up! :santa:

Yikes. I better get planning my ADR's!! My 180+10 date is June 17th. I want to know exactly what I want in case I have to call. Planning these ADR's will be more important than it is for most of my trips because we'll be there the week before Christmas and my last few days the crowds will really be rolling in. So I'd like to have a firm touring plan this time to make sure we see what we want and eat where we'd like.
Problem is I have no idea what we want:rolleyes:.
I know I want to do a CP package so I need to wait for those to open. And ds has been dying to do the Hoop Dee Doo again or an Ohana breakfast. ( I don't usually like using a dining credit for a breakfast though).
Then there's dd who has been dying to go back to Rose and Crown.

I guess I do have a bit of a plan shaping up. Anyone heard anything on the Candlelight Processional packages yet? They should be opening up soonish shouldn't they?

Any idea when the CP packages get released?

Does anyone know if they do Mickey's Backyard BBQ in December? We are staying Nov 30th-Dec
7th.

Today was my 180 days. I tried online and had no luck so I called at 7:03, waited only 10 minutes nad then this great CM helped me and I got everything we wanted. The whole process was done in about 20 minutes. We go almost every year so we like to try new restaurants or at least mix them up a bit. Plus I have to consider what the kids will eat and where there is entertainment to keep the little guy happy. So we have BOG, Ohana, CM, France, German, Mama Melrose, LTT and Rainforest Cafe. BTW she said the reason I had trouble online may be because I called in my resrt res and didn't do it online. Nowe just hoping for FD!!!!!!

Ok. Now I'm confused. I thought reservations opened at 8 am (online) and 9 am (phone) Eastern. Is it really 7 am and 8 am eastern?! Do I have to be up by 4 California time?! Hahaha

O.k.. I did a little bit of Google searching and found blogs that announced that the CP packages went on sale around June 22 in 2011 and June 26th 2012 (I say *around* because I can't be sure they blogged about it the very day they opened). So if tradition follows maybe we'll be looking at the 3rd or 4th week of June?
We should probably keep our eyes peeled but someone here will post about it I am sure or we can keep checking Allears, TouringPlans, and EasyWDW.

I just checked from last year (I was on a "waiting for CP" thread):

A partial narrator list was available on June 13 and the packages went on sale on June 26 at 7am.

I was able to get all our ADR's at the times I wanted. :goodvibes The only one that wasn't at my preferred time of 6:30pm was Be Our Guest, but I got it at 5:50pm. I might cancel that one, though, if the Fast Pass + system is operational by the time we go in December. Then I would make a FP+ reservation for lunch, instead.

We'll be eating at:

Cape May dinner - 2 nights - we love that restaurant and DH wanted to go there two nights
Via Napoli dinner - which I may switch to the Candlelight Processional package when those dates are released
Liberty Tree Tavern - lunch
Be Our Guest dinner

I'm glad that is done. :goodvibes I didn't have any trouble making the reservations on the website. It worked fine. Now I just have to hope that it doesn't link my dinner reservations to my daughter's name, which happened last February. Half our dinner reservations were under her name, and I was the one who made the reservations.

Has anyone had any luck reserving a holiday sleigh ride in December this year? My husband tried and I tried and I think I got the same cast member he did. She said they don't know anything yet and to try back in a few days. I was really hoping to do it right after Hoop Dee Doo, so I have a very specific time I want.

I did get all the ADRs I wanted, though.

Dine with an Imagineer for hubby
Hoop Dee Doo
Yachtsman for date night
CRT for breakfast with just me and my princess and sil who lives in Orlando ( hubby and two boys can fend for themselves :-). Since my princess will be just under three, she will be freeeeee!
