I just cancelled a Coral Reef for 2 at 5:30 on New Year's Eve.

You can't ask for reservations. Just have to stalk the board like everyone else and try to grab ones when people cancel.

So I lucked out and grabbed a Chef Mickey's today for a party of 5 instead of 4 so no chances of us being turned away SOOO I have a couple I will be cancelling...
