**December 2012 Roll Call** Holidays, FLE Opening & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

Yup, I saw that. :thumbsup2 Now comes the internal debate as to if I can/should spend the extra money. It's an extra $533 for the week. And I'd like to not break the bank if I can help it. It'd make my package $2949 ($449 more than I've budgeted).

I know, I shouldn't break my budget by 20%+. And in the end, I (probably) won't. But, for tonight, it's fun to think about.

That would be tempting!!! :) I haven't stayed there, but I researched it. :rotfl: There are several animal viewing areas around Jambo. I dont know anything about Kidani. I will have to check your plan, but do you have any ADRs at AKL? Now you will have to change those. :goodvibes

Just read on Touring Plans WDW Chat, that you will be able to start making reservations for Be Our Guest by phone starting at noon Aug 20th and online reservations will be available Aug 22nd.

"Also this location will participate in the Tables in Wonderland program. It's one quick-service entitlement for lunch and one table-service for dinner.& credit card will be required for the hold when making resv."

"Guests will not be able to note a dining room preference at the resturant when making reservations, they can inquire at the podium when they check in. Lastly Lumiere will not be at the restaurant, he will instead be nearby assisting Belle with the telling of her story at Enchatned Tales with Belle."

"As for the rooms lunch will only be served in the The Castle Gallery. And dinner will be served in the mysterious West Wing and The Ballroom."

The person reporting is a Disney Dining Reservationist who just got the Advisory sent via email.

Noon???? And by phone only? :scared1: Wonder how long we'll be on hold.

Look what I got in the mail today.

Our MVMCP tickets

Congrats guy. That's awesome.

Guess what...

WE GOT OURS YESTERDAY TOO!!!!!! Whoooo hooooo... :woohoo:

No FantasyLand expansion sellout is gonna us away from MVMCP. :santa:

By the way, this is the 2nd time we'll be going to MVMCP, and would it kill Disney to add a Santa hat to the characters on the cards? Or SOMETHING to demonstate the season...?

Hi, As far as the noon start time for reservations for Be Our Guest on Aug 20th, I also found this information in the thread.

"We open from 7am-10pm Eastern Standard Time. I'm not quite sure if the system will be updated the moment we open that's just why we let our guest know to call by noon."

Think I will start calling around 6am.

Trying to convince myself that I don't want it badly enough to get up at 6 AM. :rotfl2: Wait--just thought of something. We still haven't seen a full menu and prices. Is that going to happen before Monday???? :confused3

Argh - I need help!

Trying to decide between the 11th or the 14th for MVMCP. Do the Friday ones tend to be more crowded?

Also, how soon should we order our tickets?

Yay!! I just got mine on Monday and was toooo excited! I got goofy and donald. Lucky duck, you, getting Mickey :woohoo:

Bring on double digits!

No longer Christmas themed ? :(

I have never been to a party, but have heard Friday ones are more crowed because more locals come.

The person I'm working with just came back and said that there are standard rooms at Jambo, not just Kidani. And the pricing is way more reasonable. Gaah! So many choices.

And no, I don't have any ADRs at AKK right now.

Congrats as well. I was thinking the same thing. I thought they would be kinda season like when I opened the envelope. I was a little disappointed they looked pretty plain, but still happy I got them.

Yay. Everyone is getting their party tickets. :cool1: Congrats as well.

I know D'Sis will want Goofy. That leaves me and DW to fight for Mickey. Not really. It don't really matter to me which card I use, just happy to be going. I'll let DW pick which one she wants to use.

Psst. :ssst: Secretly, I'm hoping for Mickey though.

We got ours this week too & our La Nouba tix. I have everything done .... only things left on my list are Be Our Guest & Tomorrowland Wishes Dessert party :)

Whoo Hoo! Congrats.

Your list is our list as well. Only thing I have in addition to yours is that I still need our theme park tickets. Have a DLR trip coming up, so those will have to wait until we get back. Figured I can afford to buy those in October and still get them in plenty of time.

Just letting you all if my wonderful children keep acting this way I will have 2 spaces available for our December trip and a babysitter will be needed. :rotfl2:

I think I would pick Jambo since it's the main building. Seems like that's where all the action is and Kidani is quieter. Again, not from personal experience. Or go with the more reasonably priced one? Which I think is Jambo from your post. Have you looked at the AKL thread? What does Abby think? Have you ever shared so much of your life with total strangers??? :)

There are viewing areas at Kidani too. I think one of the cool things about AKL is all the cultural activities the have going on. Not just for kids either - animal feedings, discussions with animal keepers, culinary tours. All free. If you go to the viewing areas at night they have special binoculars.

We're booked at Kidani. I would've preferred Jambo but I was just happy I could get a 2BDR savannah view at all, since I waited so long to book the split stay.
