Ok, I need to happy dance for a second!! :dance3:

AIRFARE
PARK HOPPERS
MVMCP
$1000 in Gift Cards for Dining
Suitcase of Disney Trinkets for DD2
ALL BOUGHT AND PAID FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that is left is $500 to pay off the hotel. You know what that means?? It means we will be starting our Disney 2013 fund in August! Which is awesome becuase we are planning to rent DVC points for either AKL or BWV, both which book up a year in advance. We trid this year and were to late back on March.

I am flippin' impressed!! Way to go!!! Can you start contributing to my fund now? :lmao:

PIGLETTO!!!!

Stress out ..... love in ...... use that adrenalin to book some awesome ADRs

That is very Yoda-ish of you, Phatoomch. :yoda:

"Stress leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to RAGE :furious: ADR cancelling." :darth:

You can almost hear the John Williams music.

Thank you guys for the encouragement! There are worse things to stress about:rotfl:

We're going in August with the quick service ddp and we were going to book a few table service out of pocket, but not now. We'll have a December trip for TS:cool1:

So far all that is paid is the deposit. And until we come back from our August trip, all that will be paid.. is the deposit:rolleyes1.

I have monthly money that I allocate to trip fund and it's a little bare right now. So we'll just have to save extra hard until payment is due in October. That's ok.. I like a challenge. We promised nothing for trips would go on credit cards so that's the rule.

Ok.. off to complete my plans. At least I have today off!!:)

Welcome aboard. You're gonna love WDW during the Holidays. Have you decided if you are going to do any of the themed events?

I'd love for my husband and I to be able to attend the MVMCP, but we aren't sure we will be able to YET! We'll at least be able to be at DW in December with all the beautiful decorations and that's great for us! This trip is our Christmas gift (& birthday) to ourselves this year. : )

I make mine on Monday!!!! It's kinda weird going into it knowing I cant get Le Cellier or Be Our Guest. :confused3 So the only tough one should be Ohana. I'll make the ones I want and then the back-ups for LC and BOG and then I get to stress out again when those two open up. :scared1:

So forgive me as I am sure this has already been mentioned somewhere. Is the idea that we can't book any of the restaurants that they are using for the CP packages until they release the CP packages?
I don't know that we will do the Candlelight Processional, but we will want to eat at Tutto and Teppan Edo for sure. I'm just a little confused.

No, it's only four that are blocked out right now. Presumably the most popular - Le Cellier, Rose & Crown, Garden Grill and Coral Reef. I booked Tutto as my backup for Le Cellier (I'm not trying for a CP package, just a regular reservation.) No problems there.

Oh that's wonderful! Thank you. We usually choose to eat several of our meals at Epcot. I was looking to book Tutto and Teppan Edo for this trip:)

I'm a newbie here and am trying really hard to resist getting excited this early for our December trip. As of right now we are checking in to POR on Dec 8 but I'm very likely going to change this to Dec 10 if I can get free dining. Hopefully we'll be able to fly in on Dec 9, stay one night at Royal Pacific resort at Universal (visit there for 2-"half days"), then move on over to POR on Monday. As of right now I have the DDP but am paying for it :( I'd rather not :rolleyes1:

Anyway, we haven't been to WDW since 2004 when we brought 4 of our kids.....hubby decided then we would return without them next time. I've been to WDW in December one other time when I stayed with my ex at Wilderness Lodge in 1997 so I am very excited to share the sights with my hubby this year!

Thank you so much, as I was confused about this as well. I booked Teppan Edo as a backup for Le Cellier. Regular ressie for me too.

Also, I had another question. Does anyone NOT do the CP packages?? I want to see CP twice, but don't feel like using 2TS for the whole package. Couldn't I just stand behing the seating and watch from there? Or get a seat in the back? I really don't mind doing that. Is that possible? And does anyone have experience doing this? TIA! :goodvibes

In my insomniatic tossing and turning last night, I started to contemplate the CP times. My original plan was to catch the 5:00 show so we didn't hear the previous show while we waited in line. That would mean that we would have a CP lunch if we did the package. That would also mean that our show would let out at 5:45, leaving us 3 hours until Illuminations.

For any of you with kids who have done a day like this, what did your touring plan look like that day? Did your kids make it to the end of the day? This will be our only day to see Illuminations, as I planned our date night at Cali Grill for our other Epcot day. We didn't see Illuminations on our last trip because my daughter started puking right as it started.

I'm wondering if we should make RD, do Future World, take a break, catch a later CP show, have a CP dinner package after the show, then go right out to catch the fireworks?

It looks like we're all contemplating CP packages.
I booked my reservations this morning (got everything I wanted easily:thumbsup2). I also don't love the idea of giving up 2 TS credits to see it. I am thinking I may try to book a lunch with the package and pay out of pocket for it. I have a few more days to think about it anyway.

My2Qtz0205 I think your plan of making rope drop, taking a break in the afternoon and then heading back sounds best. I have never done the Candlelight Processional, but I do know that my kids don't do very well trying to go from rope drop to fireworks time. We typically go when it's much hotter than December, so it's necessary to get a break from the heat.
That may not be the case in December but I think you'd be happy to come back to the park rested and ready to go again:)

I think it really depends on who the narrator is for CP. Last year we got in line at 2:30 for the 5:00 show. We were not first in line. :scared1: NPH was the narrator. About 25 people from the stand by line got into that show, including us. :) There were tons that stayed in line for the next show. We loved it but I said I would never do it again without the package. There is space to stand behind the theatre, but that was really full as well. I'm sure you could hear it from other places, but not able to see the people. So if it important that you have a seat and can see everything, I would get the package. Otherwise take your chances on the standing room or just listen as you walk by. Just my .02.

I thought with the CP package, you EAT first, THEN catch the performance? That has been my struggle.....we want Le Cellier, which forces us to eat a lunch and attend the 5pm CP....and I was wondering if seeing the CP in the daylight didn't have the impact that seeing the show when it was darker would have?

And another question......where do you view Illuminations from if you have the CP package? Do you have some sort of voucher or ticket for this special viewing area? :confused3:
