Has anyone done the sleigh ride at Wilderness Lodge/Ft Wilderness?

I am trying to come up with a whole bunch of surprises for my family and didn't know if this is something they would all enjoy. (I know I would!)

Jake will be 5 years old and Mallory will be 22 months.

Saw this thread that the cost of Photopass is going up as of March 21. So if you want to pre-order with the $99 price, do if before the 21st.

On the Dis, we used to be allowed to organize Photopass Shares, but they don't allow it anymore. There is a group on Facebook where people do it there. If you see someone looking for others in late Nov-Dec to join a group...she might be familiar to you. :thumbsup2 Either PM me for more info (no further discussion here), or post on FB. Feel free to mention that you are form the "roll call" over on FB. That would be helpful.

Add me please!

DBF and I will be at the Poly the 9th-13th. DBF is taking me because I'll have finally finished student teaching the week before and I couldn't imagine celebrating in a better place.

I did a sibling trip in December in '09, but DBF hasn't been to WDW since '99. He's really glad I found this site because now I have other people to talk to about a vacation that's still 8+ months away!

Updated!!

Also, I updated the news section. I read on another thread that someone called WDW Dining and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is closing for renovations and such from Oct. 1st through "the end of the year." Just a heads up.

I was so excited when I saw this thread :cheer2:
Please add me!

We are staying at the Poly Dec 21 - 28th in a gardenview room.
Contemplating upgrading to CL gardenview....

Can't wait until we can book our dining. I am hoping to be able to
get in to the Be Our Guest Restaurant but I know I have to be right
on top of it when reservations open up

Need to ask does anyone know our chances of getting into the Candlelight Procession without doing the dining reservation with it?
I know just entrance is on a first come first serve basis, but I am not sure if I want to risk not being able to get into the show. We went to it about 10 years ago and it was the highlight of our trip.

Blame it on the newbie here, but where/what is this restaurant? Thanks!

JVP1----adding you now!

It is a new restaurant opening in the New Fantasyland. It will be in Belle's castle. Rumor has it (Adele song now comes into my head) that it will be counter service for lunch and table for dinner. Rumor also says it will NOT be a character meal. But rumors are rumors. Looks to open sometime this summer, fall or early winter! haha

More info here.

ooo that looks cool! I can't believe they'd not make it a character meal! I told my mom about it and she asked when it would open. I quoted your "sometime this summer, fall or early winter" and she said well nothing like nailing down a date haha...it was pretty funny to us ;) We were so bummed not to take my son on Dumbo in Feb so I sure hope a lot of this area is up and going by our trip in Dec!!!!

PS Disney if you are reading...character meal!!!:yay:

Yay a WDW virgin!! You are going to have a blast! And since you found the Dis, you will have a wealth of info at your fingertips to plan your first visit.

Woohoo, add us to the list.

Myself, DH and 2 DSs 6 & 8 will be at Pop Century from Dec 8-16. This is our second trip to WDW together but our first for Christmastime. Very excited to see all the decorations, Candlelight Processional and the Osborne lights. December hurry up and get here. :santa::)

Add us too! We are currently doing a split stay at Pop and POFQ Dec. 10-18th! I am super excited to be going during the holidays and enjoying all the holiday offerings :cool1: It will be me, DH, DD9 and DD6's 2nd trip in 2 years (I caught the bug pretty bad )

I will be updating my PTR later, but I have submitted our deposit for 2 RGR's at the Port Orleans Riverside for 12/7-12/13. It's all in place now. Just gotta keep an eye out for free dining, the narrator list for Candlelight Procession and the date to do the CP/dinner combo.

My wife (Holleypie) and I are driving down this year. So we're stopping at HHI for 2 nights (12/1-12/2). Sort of a "vacation before vacation" if you know what I mean.

Then we're heading to the World for 7 nights (12/3-12/9) at Jambo House. It will be our son's 1st birthday and 1st visit.

Consider yourself ADDED to the Roll Call!!! This is our first trip to WDW at Christmas and our (then) two year old's first visit as well!

Count me in. My family and i are going to be staying at AKV Kidani. In a 2br savannah view from Dec 20th to the 26th. This is our first Christmas trip to the world. I'm so excited. I haven't decided if we are flying or driving yet, with 4 kids probably easier to fly then to drive the 20 hours but it's soooo expensive.

I am already planning out which adr's i want to make...and while i have a few must do's i'm not sure what i want to do for Christmas eve or Christmas day dinner. Does anyone know how crazy magic kingdom is on cmas eve? i'm thinking LTT for an early dinner around 4. (we loved the traditional family style dinner here) Also what would you recommend for a non park dinner on cmas? I'm thinking maybe cali grill or citricos maybe even ohanas...somewhere we can catch Christmas wishes maybe? Or will it be so crazy we should concider ordering room service?
