Booked yesterday, got my ADRs this morning! :cool1:

Staying at Port Orleans French Quarter with me, my hubbie, my two daughters who will be 13 and 15 (who won't know about the trip at all until my dad drops us off at the airport!) and wee baby who will be 10 months old!

AND I just noticed the narrator list for CP - OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN for the day I have planned to go!!!!! [I know it can change, I plan to cross my fingers that NPH gets switched.... come ON pixie dust!!]

Reservations include Wolfgang Puck, Biergarten, Tusker House lunch, House of Blues (date night - having teenagers rocks!), Crystal Palace supper [on the day I am doing the Christmas Party!], Cinderella Table Supper [on the day we are stayed at MK till 1am], and Lilo and Stitch breakfast on the last morning. SO AWESOME booking this far in advance, not 3 months in advance when it is free dining for everyone :cool1: Got everything I wanted, just waiting for Coral Reef for the Candlelight Processional!

DISCLAIMER: my kids don't know and the hubbie is out of town a lot for work so any babbling and way over excited ramblings are not the fault of this poster :lmao:

We'll be at the POFQ too (Dec 7-16)......which night are you looking at going to the CP?? We're going the 15th (Sat)!!!!

Who knows, maybe we'll cross paths at the resort!!!

Thanks for the CP update! Looks like we have Olivia NJ on our day, too. I was kinda hoping for NPH, but she should be good. I just hope to we get to see it!! :thumbsup2

Also, I started a PTR if anyone is interested! :goodvibes

I don't remember if you had listed the date you were doing the CP??

Waited 2.5 hours last year to see NPH. Kinda glad he won't be there during our trip this year so we arent tempted to do it again. :lmao: I know I have said it before, but I highly recommend the CP dinner package. :thumbsup2

My local Stop & Shop is doing buy a $50 gift card and get a $10 off you next purchase back.

Thanks to JLa01844 and Karma, I am even closer to paying off our trip. As some of you know, I recently had an integrity testing, Karma moment See here . It looks like Karma wasn't done with me. I had reached another $50 total of winning lottery tix. So I went to my local Stop n Shop (like JLa suggested), and cashed them in. The total came to $52. I took the $50 for the Disney gift card and bought a nother $2 scratch ticket. At check out, I received the $10 coupon. When I got to the car, I scratched the ticket and hit for $40. $40 + $10 coupon = another $50 gift card.

So, for basically $0 out of pocket (I know it's not really "0") I walked out of Stop n Shop with $100 in Disney gift cards. Lesson to everyone, do unto others...

The narrator for CP for the night we will be there is Jodi Benson. For those of you who have to look it up (like I did), she is the voice of Ariel. As it happens, Ariel is my daughter's favorite princess! :goodvibes. I think that worked out well.

Also, I made our ADR for Cali Grill today. It's a date night for DH and me. We loved it last time we ate there. Our dinner time is at 5:45, and Wishes starts at 8:00. I wanted a little bit later, but the next available was 7:40, and I thought that was cutting it a little close.

LOL I had to look her up too! I love Ariel and even cooler is we were both born in Rockford IL. At the time it was a podunk country town. I've heard it's expanded though.

The day we'll be at Epcot is still TBA as far as the narrator goes...Boo!!!!! Oh well...still holding out for someone we all will love to see!!!

BWHAHAHA :lmao: yes thank you! My mom and I looked at each other (even though these aren't our dates) and said :confused3

We are going Dec 15-27 so we have a few times of TBA...haven't gotten my final planning out of the way yet as our ADRs are on Monday, but it isn't like my CP is set in stone yet as we want to do a meal deal (yeh like it is Pizza Hut!) so we may have to change anything we come up with on Monday if we can't get our planned out CP night when those restaurants open up!

BTW can someone tell me, I thought the actors would be recorded narrations but from what one person said a few posts above, it sounds like they are physically there! Is that true?

We are going to do it on Saturday December 15. Unsure of time or restaurant yet - we have the whole day planned to hang out at Epcot, ride the big rides, eat lunch or supper around the World Showcase while listening to the different Christmas stories... thinking Coral Reef but now having second thoughts if I can't sit beside the aquarium :P...., might go Garden Grill or switch this night to our Beirgarten night :D

So we will cross paths more than once - we will be the way over excited people who don't act like adults (I still get IDd all the time and I have a 14 year old!) :rotfl: I might be the only person in all of POFQ history who *requested* a ground floor room!

Woo-hoo! Gotta love karma. So pleased for you :)

Yes, they are actually there! :thumbsup2

Seeing everyone's dining plans is so exciting! I MUST buckle down and get prepared for my day to call :)

Can someone indulge my paranoia please?? I check in on 12/15 ... that means my dining window opens THIS Monday, 6/18, right??I am so worried I'll have it figured out incorrectly!!!

Also, anyone here eaten at Cape May? What are your opinions?

What about dinner at Akershus - is it good? We've done breakfast there several times, but never dinner.

Thanks!
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer :) Akershus was the favorite of everyone in our party! The food was good and the princesses were amazing! Far and away spent the most time with our kids of any of the character dinners! My little guy left that dinner in love with Ariel :)

We are going Dec. 20 for our first Christmas trip to Disney, we have gone many times before but never during the holidays. We are looking forward to just being there. We've been planning what is being called "The Best Christmas Ever." We are most looking forward to the Candlelight Processional, Wishes Dessert Party, La Nouba and just being alone as a family this holiday :cool1: The last three years was spent with our families and while we :lovestruc them dearly, it can get a bit :scared:. Plus, this is our last Chistmas vacation until after Grad school so we are making it count :tinker::simba::donald:

FOOD/TOURING PLANS QUESTION ALERT!!

I make our ADR tomorrow for our DHS day. My plan was for us to eat at Sci-Fi Dine-In. We are going to try to make Rope Drop so that we can hopefully ride TSM this time (it was down last time we were there), ride as many rides and see as many shows as we can until about 2'ish, then take a mid-day break, then come back to the park for the Osbourne Lights.

So, my question is...should we do CS for lunch (I'm thinking Starring Rolls), and then do Sci-Fi for dinner? If so, what time do I want my ADR to be so that we can see the light show begin? I've heard the tip to wait until the crowds disperse, but I think I'd like my kids to have the "wow" of seeing them turn on. If I can't get an ADR time that lines up with that, then so be it.

Or....should we do Sci-Fi for lunch, then pack-in a dinner and eat it curb-side while we wait for the lights to turn on? We could always stop by Starring Rolls for a cupcake or two to save as dessert. :cloud9:

For our designated Osborne night, I made a 5pm ADR at Kouzzina, then we are going to head to DHS. Will probably just drive there because that might be the quickest vs. boat. I am hoping the crowds might be lighter as I am aiming to view the lights during Fantasmic. (6:30)

I would either aim for a 4:45 SciFi or go with Starring Rolls.

What I arranged for our Osbounre night was that we get a buffet breakfast. that will leave us free to peck throughout the day as needed and then booked a 4:40pm dinner at Sci-Fi (BDLsgal saw they had spin&artichoke dip, and that was all it took). We can take our time eating and then make our way to Streets of America.

Oooh, I just noticed that we are going to miss the parade if we leave for a mid-day break! Is the DHS parade worth staying for? Dang, decisions, decisions!

I wish we could do it all and make everybody happy. :confused3

I was able to call photo pass and get a cash credit for my prepurchased photopass cd and am going to order the prepurchase price for the photopass plus that is now available for $170 and pay the difference.
