Has anyone ever seen the Epcot storytellers? Just wondering if I should try to schedule this in on our Epcot days. Worth it?
Here is the info from here on the DIS:
November 25 - December 24, 2011
One of the really special things about celebrating the holiday season in Epcot is learning about the holiday traditions of all the different countries. Each country has its own special theme that highlights its culture. Storytellers will delight you with tales of their heritage and how the holidays are celebrated in their homeland. It's a unique opportunity to learn more about the world in which we live. Check the times guide for storytellers' schedules.
Storytellers include:
American Adventure: Story of Hanukkah, Santa Claus, Story of Kwanzaa
Canada: Papa Noel
China: The Monkey King
France: Pere Noel
Germany: Helga
Italy: La Befana
Japan: Daruma Vendor
Mexico: The Three Kings
Morocco: Taarji
Norway: Julenissen
United Kingdom: Father Christmas
Thanks, OP, for this thread!
My husband and I are going to DW the first week of December (2-7) and will be staying at ASM (our fav resort!). We are thinking of adding one or two more days later on. This will be our first time visiting DW in December for the holidays.
Our first trip was in August and we hated the heat and vowed to never go again in the summer months! Our past two trips have been in February for our anniversary & honeymoon and we loved it. The weather was perfect each time. I'm very excited to see what it will be like in December as well as seeing all of the holiday decor.
Hi everyone! We just booked our first Christmastime trip!! I am so excited and seriously cannot get the perma-smile off this morning.![]()
We are planning MVMCP and a sleigh ride at the WL. I know not to miss the Osborne lights, but is their anything else we should shoot for? Our little ones are at such a magical age, and I want to make sure we take advantage of Disney at Christmas! We'll be there December 9-17th.
Now, off to find me a ticker...![]()
I had a few issues booking online this morning. I got one reservation booked then any time after that I kept getting a were sorry we experienced a problem please try again. After 10 minutes of that I gave up and showered to get ready for work, then got back online and was finally able to book some reservations. I didn't get all the times I wanted but I'll keep checking. I wasn't able to get Chef Mickeys for our goodbye breakfast on the 16th.
They still do breakfast, right? It's on a Sunday. I also just realized I didn't book anything for our Hollywood Studio day, so I need to go do that. (you wouldn't think getting up 30 minutes earlier than usual would discombobulate me so much, LOL)
Here's my list.
Dec 10th arrival day
Liberty Tavern 7:30pm (don't like this time at all, thinking about canceling and just eating at our resort when we get in)
Tuesday 11th epcot day
Askershus 8:05 breakfast
Biergarten 630pm supper
Wednesday 12th MK
Crystal Palace 8:35 breakfast (im going to keep trying, want to get in when they open)of course if I leave it at this time we can do Rope drop, so I'll think about it.
CRT 6:40pm birthday supper for daughter! (i am very happy with this time, I think it will be perfect time to finish supper and walk out to catch the fireworks)
Thursday 13th Animal Kingdom
Tuskers 8:05 breakfast
Yak& Yeti 1pm lunch
I think I may make a liberty tavern supper ressy for this night since this is when we are doing the Christmas party (not sure yet we may just eat at our resort again this night)
Friday 14th free day/downtown disney
trex lunch 1pm
ohana supper 6:50
So still need to make Sat and Sundays reservations

I had the issues booking this morning too. "We've encountered and error", "We're sorry. Please make another selection", "We aee that you've been inactive for 30 minutes. You have been logged out." Quite frustrating.
As for the reservations that you are not sure about, don't outright cancel them. Wait til you find 1 you like, book that 1 and then in the process, the dining page will prompt you if you want to drop the previous one. No need risking losing a meal all together. Bird in the hand...
Just received this from WL IPO:
We do want to make you aware that at this time we are unsure if Ft. Wilderness will be offering the Holiday Sleigh Ride this year. Since they have decided not to offer the Haunted Carriage Rides this year there is a possibility they will not offer the Sleigh Rides. We have noted your request for the experience and if it is offered we will book it for you.
I am so keeping my fingers crossed that the Sleigh Ride remains because we have never done it before and are really looking forward to it
Can someone indulge my paranoia please?? I check in on 12/15 ... that means my dining window opens THIS Monday, 6/18, right??I am so worried I'll have it figured out incorrectly!!!
Also, anyone here eaten at Cape May? What are your opinions?
What about dinner at Akershus - is it good? We've done breakfast there several times, but never dinner.
Thanks!
Jennifer
Yes, you ADR day is 6/18.
I enjoyed CM for dinner. I love seafood. We are doing it again this year.
Akershus was good at dinner too. I loved the cold salad/appetizer bar. Princess interaction was awesome. They did not seem rushed at all. My mom and I had a great time. Doing it again this coming trip!
