I just cancelled our September Free dining trip since we'll be moving. We are going instead in December! Yay! :cool1: I am much happier about this since September is so HOT! Now we just hope for a discount.

We'll be there Dec. 10 - 16! Resort to be determined by family meeting tonight. :grouphug:

DW and I will be there around the same time as you. We check into CBR on the 11th. Although we'll be in Orlando since the 12/1. Staying with family at our timeshare first. They're only staying a week, so DW and I decided to add some more days and stay onsite for the first time. Experience it first hand for ourselves.

Quick reminder. Anyone who will be traveling on Southwest, flight schedules open up this Monday, June 4th. Hope they have some good ones.

I hope this means AirTran will have their posted the same day since they are one company now.

Your guess is as good as mine. Airtran don't operate out of our city, but looking at their website; they only say "Flight schedule currently open through 11/2/12. Will extend for future bookings in May/June 2012." Being that is the current schedule SWA is running on, one could only hope.

Yes, I've been a fan (or Duranie) for 28 years now. Simon has always been my favorite  I got Simon's pix from their official web site. They had a few avatar pictures of the guys to use.

OMG...that brings back memories. I had BIG plans to marry Simon and my high school BFF was going to marry John Taylor. :rotfl2:

We had it all planned out...double wedding and all.

The whole thing went south when they hooked up with Robert Palmer. We just couldn't forgive them....so we moved on to Hall and Oates. :rotfl:

Just sharing---

I updated my PTR just now with a review of a daytrip we took to Mt. Dora a couple years ago, as a break away from our days at Disney. It's a lovely little town just north of Orlando. They decorate beautifully for Christmas so I highly suggest it.

Come join me! cheers!

The autotrain leaves out of Sanford and takes you to Lorton, Va. I don't know if that will help you living in NH. Maybe they have one closer to your location. After pricing airfare and car rental, it is our best option. For 6 of us and our truck the prices is $660.00. Only $110.00/person. That includes dinner and breakfast on the train. It leaves Sanford at 4PM and arrives in VA at 7:30AM. I have read quite a lot of good reviews. We'll see how it goes.

oh, so then you drive from VA...yeh probably won't help us much haha. I'm just so fearful of Dec weather in New England! I'm poised to jump in our car if ANY chance of weather wants to hinder our trip! 20-21 hrs isn't my idea of fun though....who cares if we get stuck coming home hahaha:rotfl2:

Awesome thread, and thanks for the invite to join the fun:goodvibes

I will be traveling to WDW November 29-December 7 with my DH (45) who will also be celebrating one year smoke-free :dance3:, My DS (15) who loved our previous trips in 07&08.

We will also be meeting up with my Dsis (26), DBIL (33), DNieces (5,4,2) this will be their first visit

I booked at AoA in a LM room with free QSD :woohoo:

I am looking forward to chatting here to make the time pass quickly :lmao:

With the Dec park hours being released I've been trying to formulate a plan/strategy like most of u guys:) Question; how are the evening magic hours? I've heard that the lines are just as long then as they are during the day...? Is that true with your experiences? We've been to Disney World only once but never took advantage of EMH.

We will be arriving on Dec. 7 and staying at POR. This is our first trip to see the world decorated for Christmas and it is also a family reunion trip! Can't wait to start making dining reservations and matching shirts for everyone!!!!

So it's not official yet but I had to share the news!! I may have talked DH into a short holiday trip from December 26/27-30. Where we stay and even whether we go will depend on if DH gets one of the jobs he's applying for. However I have talked him into putting a $200 deposit down at either BC or WL to hold our spots, then we'll add air later. Worst case scenario we have to downgrade or cancel altogether but we won't know until September, which may be too late to book for the holidays

Fingers Crossed everyone!!!

I have found that the night EMH crowds are not too bad. A lot of people are too pooped to do the EMH. And those that do stay, tend to fade as the 3hrs go on.

Us too. Same day, same resort. And though we aren't having a reunion, there will be 4 of us.

Unlike PP, I've had totally opposite experiences with evening EMH. We've been to EMH numerous times and have found the wait times to be just as bad as the busiest part of the day. Now, we weren't there at like 11 pm -2 am. That's WAY past my bedtime! I'm talking 10ish, but it was BUSY! We do rope drop and morning EMH, but typically avoid evening EMH. I guess it would also depend on the time of the year. We are planning a Christmas 12 trip and I will be AVOIDING evening EMH's like the plague. I guess we'll be there with the chickens, before sun-up! LOL! :)

I've been to EMH evening (MK) in both July and late April. If you are willing to stay late, I have found the crowds to be AWESOME. Come 1, 2 am...we were riding Splash and not even having to get off the log. Same with Space and other big rides. Walk on for everything at Fantasyland.
