You get mixed reviews really. The one thing I do read is that its not so much they are rowdy, they just create traffic so timing breakfast at the resort and when you catch buses is key - basically, earlier than them ;)

And anyways - the 'assumption by others' could be wrong ... they could be at POR with me :p

Breakfast may be the issue. I'm still working out our itinerary. I believe we are using CS/QS credits for breakfast each day and most of it will be at CBR. I was thinking between 6:30 and 7 am for breakfast.

How are they on the busses from the resort (meaning both attitude and crowd level)? I'm guessing they will be going to AS Sports for their tournament and not the parks.

In 2010, we only had a day and 1/2 of overlap with the tournatment. And to be honest, we didn't have a problem with the football players. Yes, the food court was crowded and the cash register lines moved slowly, but oh well. The kids ate quickly. So, as fast as they appeared, they vanished and tables free'ed up pretty quickly.

The CHEERLEADERS on the other hand... :scared:

They will jam the buses. They have little regard for the lines, if they have friends at the front of it. They will yell to their friends whether they are 20' away or 2' feet away. And then break into random cheers and chants. Think... a Brazilian tour group that speaks English.

Like I said, we only had to deal with the tournament for 1.5 days. When I was checking in, there were people checking out that had been there the whole week. They had horror stories.

A few of us were discussing the whole do we don't we when it comes to PH.

Anyways, I removed mine (saved $292) and the CM told me this: if I do decide to hop parks DO NOT upgrade to a PH for $58, just add a day to my base ticket for $10 and use a days ticket to hop, works out much cheaper that way :)

I think an early breakfast would work. TBH, I'm not sure about the buses but like BDL says, they are pretty well behaved compared to the cheerleaders.

BTW, off topic but :lovestruc simon le bon :teeth:

The CM who told you that you could do that was wrong. You can't go to MK in the morning, then decide you want to go to Epcot in the afternoon & use another day on your passes to do it. A base pass will only let you into one park each day, the system will not allow you to use 2 of your passes days in 1 day. You would either have to add the PH or stay at whatever park you entered 1st that day.

Uh...... sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. That is not true. An extra day will gain you.... an extra DAY. Not an extra PARK.

That CM was mistaken.

I know CMs often don't know the more obscure rules but this is "park tickets 101". That's a major blunder.

Just booked our flights for our Dec 10 - 17th trip. Got the prices on a bit of a seat sale too so we paid $922 versus the $1150 I had been looking at for some time.

I love it when that happens!!!!!

Seriously?? See, when I was on the phone I was surprised at that info so I was like 'really' and she told me her job was to save me money and she tells everyone that tidbit of info! I know CMs get some stuff wrong ... but not that wrong!

Thanks for putting me right guys :goodvibes

I would just hate for you to do that & get to your 2nd gate of the day & be turned away!

wish you had gotten her name; I don't want to get anybody in trouble but she is giving out wrong info and should be corrected so that she doesn't continue to give out incorrect info.

I agree!

Well, she made changes to my reservation so I wonder if her name would be attached in some way?

Just stumbled onto this thread. We are booked from Dec. 11th - 18th. We are staying at AoA. I am totally looking forward to all the Christmas decorations!!

I do, too and have been getting a lot of compliments since I put that picture on there. I got it directly from their official web site. They have avatar size pictures available.

You'll be fine. There are tons of POP warner threads around and don't recall reading them being rude - just excited :) Apparently you don't notice them in the parks. Don't worry, enjoy the fact that a lot of people try and avoid that week so less time lining up for rides for you guys :thumbsup2

I agree. I'm pushing back because we can, we didn't really have a reason to go Nov 28 vs Dec.10 but everything I read is that you won't notice during the day at the parks. Put it out of your mind now so that you don't 'look' for things to be bothered by. I think both Nov. 28 and Dec.10 will be great dates to go.

Merry Christmas!

subscribing, super excited...booked Nov 27-Dec 5 AoA today...did not realize POP Warner dates, now worried, hubby gets very annoyed at rude teenagers...

Welcome aboard. We almost have the same dates! When I first made reservations I thought i was avoiding POP then a month ago I realized it. Not happy about it and hoping that they won't infiltrate the parks at night.

On a side note, there is a meetup thread for anyone that is at WDW around the same time I am. Probably at Ghiradelli... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=45540696#post45540696

Welcome to the POR army. As the newbie, you'll have to carry all of the rest of the army's luggage and stop by Fulton's daily to pick up our purchases and pictures.

Oh yeah... Congrats on the new job. :thumbsup2
