I've been out of touch for a while and am too lazy to read through all the posts. Short question: Have they announced a code for AP holders during december?

Wondering what the possibility is of getting any type of promo/pin for Christmas week? I saw that in the past there was a room only discount for part of that week....We will be there 22-28 for our first Christmas trip at POR, with DxDP. A little Christmas pixie dust would be nice!

I can usually get a code for up to the night of the 24th. Then there is nothing until after January 2nd. They don't need to give discounts the week after Christmas because they pack them in without it. It used to be that if you started your stay with a discount it was applied until your check-out date regardless of the date but they stopped that a few years ago. Now, we go up on the 21st or 22nd and leave the 26th. It's too crowded the week between Christmas and New Years anyway.

Yes, I need one for POP since I am staying solo. Don't NEED one, but it sure would be nice so I can spend more $$ on junk food

We are staying 2 nights at POFQ before moving to DVC Boardwalk.... I would like to check POFQ off my list of Disney hotels I have stayed at. My goal is to stay at every resort at least once.
We tried staying at POFQ last year but they were not included in the AP discounted hotels..

I have stayed at all the resorts just not the dvc's. That is my goal now.
Are you sure the POFQ wasn't included last year? Tht's where we stayed and we definitely got a discount. Maybe they were sold out of the discounted rooms. Oh well, good luck this year. We may be staying there again as we had such a great time last year

no they were not included in the AP discounts because I had my reservation there and when the AP rates were release I was on the phone within minutes of the phones being open. POR was included but not POFQ wo we had to move out pre DVC stay to POR. Not that I am complaing because it was still a great... Fingers crossed for this year!!

I must have had a florida resident discount then. I know we had originally made our reservation for Beach Club and then decided to stay longer so to stay in budget I moved the ressie to POFQ. This year I am shooting for AKL but I have to wait for the AP discounts to come out to see where we will end up. If it's not in the budget POFQ here we come. In the end the only thing that matters is that we are at Disney for Christmas.

I am trying to figure out how many days I have to wait. If we go December 21st that makes it ummmmmmm 4 months and 18 days -- I think. That's just way to long.

I don't know if you check your reservations online, but it tells you how many days in the top right hand corner of your room reservation.

I haven't made my reservation yet. I am still waiting for the AP discounts to come out, see what will fit in the budget and then I will make the reservation. This is killing me. I want to go now.

I am hoping for a general public discount. And they are usually the same dates as past pins I have received. Also, when do you think that any room only discount would be released? I'll probably book when I'm ready and then just change our reservation if/when the code is released to the general public.

We're waiting for an AP rate for Pop for when we're going. We're going regardless but since we're going to pay OOP for our meals an AP rate would help.

I know we are going to first of dec, no room discount other then I got my AAA discount..They are offering free dining after the 10th of december I believe.. I wont change my dates for the free dining, would of been nice but ohh well..hope you find what you are looking for..

I didn't check all the rates but that AKL rate is the regular price for a weekday standard view. So - not a discount.

It's not uncommon for Disney to send out promotions with marketing codes on them that look like they're discounts, but not really.
