red'd 30% off for December dates 1-20 today. Too bad I don't have a trip planned this year. It wasn't enough to convince my DH we need to go when we are already planning an April trip and a Christmas trip next year

We are very excited!! We (DW & DD7) are booked at the WL on 12/1-12/9. This will be our first time at Disney during the Christmas Season and it has always been a dream of mine. We are going to book the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Does anyone else have any suggestions for this time of year?

I just finished reading the threads and there is a lot of great info. We booked our trip back in November 2011 for 12/1-12/9 for the WL and have not received any PINS. I assume if we have not gotten one by now we are not getting one. Is that because we unknowingly booked during the Pop Warner week? Does this week make the parks/resorts that much busier?

We should be able to start booking our Advanced Dinner Reservations (ADR?) on Monday or Tuesday. If I am reading correctly we will not be able to book any EPCOT reservations because of the Candlelight Procession (CP?)?

One last thing, I read the Southwest should be opening up their rates for the rest of the year on Monday. Is that correct? We have been tracking JetBlue for awhile but they are a little pricey so we are hoping SW is cheaper.

I apologize, I have not been on the boards for awhile and have forgotten some of the acronyms so please bare with me.

You most likely will not get a discount for your dates as this is peak season. The last date for the FD we were offered was on Dec. 13.

I have heard of people receiving pins even if they don't stay on resort but just by filling out the information on the Disney site just for quotes.

Even if you were to get a pin your dates that are booked are for Pop Warner Week so they would be blacked out.

There are some people who have gone to Disney quite a bit and have never received a pin. It's just the luck of the draw. I have never paid for a trip, it has always been my DH, but I always order the CD every year.

I haven't had any problems as of yet. Our 180 day mark is not until tomorrow so I can't even look yet. I have seen on other threads where there are no spots open in World Showcase restaurants because of the CP. Hoping this isn't the case for us. My parents are planning to do a Le Cellier dinner date since it is one of the only restaurants that still exists from their honeymoon 25 years ago.

We have a group of 11 total, so will probably split up a bit for dinner but does anyone have any great recommendations? We have the DDP, but are also traveling with little ones, although not too terribly picky. I personally have only been to Disney once almost 10 years ago and do not remember any of the places we ate.

We're you able to make the ADRs? Our window opens on Wed.

We just got back from WDW on Saturday and while we were there we took advantage of the bounceback offer to book a 3-night getaway trip for 12/13-12/16. The offer was for 35% off deluxe and DVC resorts, but even with the discount it was too pricey for us to stay in one of them. The cheapest we could get was a studio at OKW or SSR for roughly $780. Instead, we used a reduced discount to get POFQ for $450 for the three nights.

We then went and visited AoA and loved it and wanted to change our reservation to that resort, but we were told that the bounceback was good on every resort except AoA. So we were bummed.

Now, I'll just keep calling to see if I get any PINs between now and then.

I've had no problems making ADR's at our 180 day mark. Only problem that I've had is that the +10 portion of the 180 +10 wasn't working on-line. All my reservations are reflected on the WDW website, but if I put in a date outside of 180 it tells me to link my resevations, but when I go to do it, it fails.

Fortunately I've been getting pretty much everything I've wanted and only 1 day of our stay is still outside the 180.

I was able to get Akershus at EPCOT but wasn't able to get Garden Grill, maybe because of CP packaging?

At EPCOT - try get into a performance of the Candlelight Processional (CP) - personally my favorite holiday "to-do"

At DHS - be sure to see the Osborne Family lights

Take some time away from the parks and visit some of the Deluxe Resorts or Fort Wilderness to see holiday decorations.

We are staying at the new Art of Animation Resort in a Little Mermaid themed room. I'm a little worried about placing my ADRs in a few days I've heard others are having problems because of Candlelight Processional in Epcot. I've only been to Disney once and it was in April about 6 years ago, so I'm a little worried about going during all of the special events.
Does anyone know if the Candlelight Processional with a dinner reservation costs more? Or is it just a reservation with a view during the Processional?

I believe that if you book a package using the DDP (whether you are on free dining or not) that you have to use 2TS entitlements even if the restaurant would normally only be a 1TS. Otherwise if you are paying out of pocket I believe (at least they used to) create tier levels for the various restaurants, meaning The Biergarten would cost one flat rate while LeCellier would be a higher tier and amount.

The package gives you guaranteed seating (but not a specific seat) at one of the three shows (depending on the time you select) and access to the preferred viewing section for Illuminations. Last time that was by the gift shop near the Holiday Tree.

I almost feel, unless you are willing to risk it or sit in line for a long long time, that the CP dinner package is your best guarantee for getting seated for the CP.

I have 4 different ones this year alone. It seems once you get one you are more likely to get more. Try going on the Disney site log into your account and price out few different resorts for your dates. They track every move you make on their site, you never know it might trigger something in the system since you are already on the PIN list.

I was able to get everything We wanted for Dec. 1--8! I was up and booked them on Disney.com as soon as it opened this AM. I only have AAA on our room at present. We have went last 5 years on pop Warner week and ended up with FD the last 3. Online reservations are very easy, it opens at 6 ET. Good Luck! Free dining has came out in Aug. for into Dec.
