Anyone read the rumors that Disney will announce on 8/4 that the free dining plan will be extended thru 12/18?????

If you had to choose one, I would go with MVMCP. With CP, you can still see and/or hear the narration without a package, you just have to do so from outside the theater (I wouldn't recommend waiting in a stand-by line, unless you have lots of time on your hands!). Depending on where you are outside the theater, you will be competing for a sight line and contending with noisy crowds, but it's still possible to experience it and enjoy it. With MVMCP, you either have a ticket or you don't! So I would opt for the hard-ticketed event.

I would go with MVMCP, it lasts a couple hours with somewhat reduced crowds. Can ride rides, see parade, meet characters and have some yummy snacks. CP is a show, lasts about 30 min. They aren't having MVMCP while we are there so CP it is for us. Also you can watch CP on YouTube so you might take a look and make your choice

I read it was going to come out 8/3.
If this is true we will be adding an extra day to our stay.
The dates I seen was Nov.27th-Dec.3rd & Dec.11th-17th for the month of Dec.

We booked our trip this morning at the All Star Movies resort for Dec. 10 - 17 w free dining the 11th - 17th. Very excited to go back!

I have been out of the loop driving across country but am surprised the Free Dining promotion extension didn't spark more activity in this thread! Called today while in a car driving through Nebraska and Oklahoma (I was a passenger not driving)-- on hold for 1 hr 17 minutes 05 seconds, but added 12-17 to our reservation and got dining plan free from 12-17 to 12-29! Will probably upgrade to Deluxe later on as the time gets nearer. About 2 hours after confirming free dining on the phone, an 18 wheeler blew a tire next to us and hit us with a large piece of steel belted tire! Did damage to car but not to either of us (I was driving now)! Throughout the ordeal, kept thinking and saying to my wife.... but we got the Dining Plan for free today! Maybe I have crossed the line into Disneymaniacs????

We're joining in! Our family will be experiencing our first trip to Disney, Nov. 30 - Dec. 10, staying at Pop Century.

We were originally planning on going in September but decided to move the trip back to try to find cooler weather and because I really want to experience WDW decorated for Christmas! So excited to re-do all of my planning!!

Staying at Port Orleans Riverside 12/10-12/13. I have been to the World several times, my traveling companion will be making his first trip...thought no more magical time of year than Christmas. Can't wait to share it with him.

Anyone ever been to WDW for NYE? Do any of the resorts have parties or events? I'm thinking of planning a holiday trip for next year but hearing how croded the parks are I'm trying to come up with alternate plan. Any suggestions??

That was my question. We are currently booked the 17-22, but I saw that the free dining ends on the 17. So we can still get it as long as we check in on that last day? Awesome!!!
