December 2011 Check-In

:rotfl: Don't we all!

OK, I finally have time to actually sit here and start getting everyone added. I hope to have an official booking at HOJO by tonight for myself as well -- along with one for October (and I did see a 2nd request for an October thread but I'm going to be a good girl and not start it so far in advance unless someone beats me to it).

Oh, you're going to book HoJo rooms for later this year even though you have somewhere you can stay in L.A.? Or are these back-up/'just in case' bookings?

It's a two-fold thing: Backup because I'm pessimistic and I don't want to not have a place to stay and then try booking something later that will cost double and also because I know some friends who are thinking of going at the same time who would like the option of the HoJo with the ET/AP rate and it's just easier for me to take care of it since I'm the "expert".

I'm for sure booking the room for October since my cousin will need it and I'll at least be staying with her there the night before and of the Halloween Party we attend. Simply for proximity and ease of getting ready.

Good points. That all makes sense.

Well, as you've said, at least HoJo doesn't require any $$$ to be put down up front, and you have all kinds of time to cancel or whatever if it were to come to that. That's definitely an advantage the Good Neighbors have over the DLR hotels, that's for sure - no money needed up front.

It looks like we are just going to miss each other. How funny.

I saw that. It would be a kick in the pants if we had the same room. To bad I will not see any info before we go on the room. We are getting a mini suite. It better have two queen beds!

I called the hotel directly to verify that the mini-suites all have 2 Queens and was told that they do. We stayed at BWPPI in Nov/Dec and had a standard room with two doubles. We won't make that mistake again. :)

i love hojo the lady was so nice i said all i need to do is add one more day an she said whats the name i gave it an she said ok last day or first day i said last an she said ok all set now you are staying 6nights. see you then

i just cant stop thinking bout it an how nice they are. i dont need dvc i got my own home away from home with hojo

Right now I'm deciding between Hojo and Desert Inn. This will be my sister's first trip (maybe her last) to DL and I want it to be awesome. I had been considering staying on-site, but I think I'd rather save that huge amount of cash and use it for more activities - Holiday Tour, Walk in Walt's Footsteps, dinner at Napa Rose - that kind of thing.

I've never stayed at Desert Inn, but it is a lot closer and I think it would be easier to go back to the hotel during the day. It also has a lot more room - a 2 queen bedroom plus the sitting room. Both have fridge, safe, microwave, and Internet (important because I work while I'm away from home too).

Decisions, decisions...... Either case, I'm sure it will be a fab time!
