December 2009 Code Watch

It is very interesting...

I would bet the dates will match the pins we have been getting...

I wish I could stay up to midnight. My 4 year old Dniece has been visiting and has worn me out today. Pleasy disney fairy let me wake up to a great deal for Nov/Dec.

I just recently (like late last week) got my Disney Visa card.
If the FD comes out for the Disney Visa holders, could someone please tell me what site address I would go to to to take advantage of this deal?
Would the offer be likely to come "online" at midnight?
Thanks so much!:worship:

I don't ever remember a code just "appearing" on the website at midnight. Usually you read about it here at least a day before its announced and people are on the phone at 7am EST that morning calling in. You just call the "regular" central reservations number and give them the code. :thumbsup2

Hello Neighbor!! :wave2:

Yes...the rumor is that they will start booking on Thursday for the Visa holders and Sunday for the public...that is the rumor.

I would not stay up for something to happen at midnight.

Hey there, neighbor!

Thursday sounds good to me! Maybe tomorrow is the official annoucement day. Not exactly thrilled about free dining, but I'll take it for now!

where did you see that? I didn't see it anywhere on the site...:confused3 could someone please post me to the link that originated the rumor??? Gosh, I can only hope its true! we JUST got our Disney visa in the mail!

Not to be a "Debbie Downer" - but could to OT be because they plan to open to allow people to book into 2010? Releasing the new 2010 rates & such?

Just a thought...

Anything is possible, but I doubt that is what it is. 2010 rates are generally announced in August so that guests can book through the end of the year. (500 days out)

Also, people visiting between now and November can book, even without the 2010 rates being available.

Take these with a grain of salt. They could be completely wrong. So wrong, in fact, that your eyeballs may burst into flames simply by reading the next couple of paragraphs.

(1) We hear the current free dining offer (free dining for check-ins through December 17, 2009) will be extended from a PIN code to the general public in the near future.

(1b) The alternative offer we’re hearing about is the return of the “Buy-4-Get-7″ deal from earlier this year. That seems to have been another PIN code offer, albeit to a more limited audience.

(2) We expect ticket prices to increase around August 2. My guess is that it’ll be single-digit percentage increases for one-day tickets and double-digit percentage increases for multi-day tickets, especially those in the 3 to 7 day range. Probably higher for kids than adults.

(3) I would not be surprised to see that Disney’s park attendance levels have dropped, year-over-year, since the end of the first “Buy-4-Get-7″ offer in June, about 1% every week since then. Give or take. I’m just saying.

Just a hunch.

WOOHOO - I hope that they are opening the 180 day ADR window!

ADRs for free dining is tougher no matter what. The public offer if there will be one may come later. Last year the Disney Visa offer did not come until mid September. The ADR 90 plus 10 day mark for the Thanksgiving/ Christmas holiday actually starts around August 20th or so. Many of you with the special pincodes will have your dinner reservations already booked before the so-called public code would even happen if it runs it's course like last year. Otherwise, everyone will have to compete and call bright and early on their designated day for dinner reservations. Good luck to all.

Actually, my arrival date is Dec 3 and my ADR window opens Sept 4th - so most of us will not have our ADRs made. ;)

What happens if you recieved a pin for FD, booked, and then a better deal comes out? Can you combine? My thing is FD is a blessing but were staying at a WL a dream for me but not cheap! So if something like buy 4/ 3 free comes out and I cant combine (which I suspect) can I keep my ressie but change discounts?:confused3

You can't combine, but you can apply the discount that saves you the most.

And that all depends on if there is availability. WL is one of the hardest resorts to apply codes to during Christmastime. It is not unheard of, I just did it last week for free dining, but generally it has the least availability for discounts/promotions in December.

Or the information may not load until tomorrow morning when there are actually people in the office who can help.

Good luck to all who is awaiting a code.

IF there happens to be a code tomorrow, and if it's for Disney Visa holder, where would that information appear on the web-site? I don't know where to look for the coded if there are any!
