December 2009 Code Watch

Our first trip to DW was in 2003. We've been twice, I've signed up for everything Disney imaginable and I've NEVER gotten a pin code :sad1:

I also received the 40% of code. Can you use it twice. I have two ressies and I changed one with Disney. The other is thru a travel agent and I emailed her but do not have an answer yet.

Thanks

Re: my pin code from today. It was apparantly targeted to AP holders since it makes a passholder reference in the text. It was from "Disney Destinations" and is titled "40% off a Disney Stay!"

HTH someone!

Another round of pin codes went out today. We received 40% off for the following dates:

8/23–9/4/09
9/6–11/21/09
11/29–12/5/09
12/13–12/23/09

We used it for 11/27-12/6 at the GF (paying rack for 11/27 and 11/28 on a split ressie)
Rats!

I received my Disney June Hello via email, but no discount code. Did they come by email or postal mail?

I'm hoping, hoping, HOPING for a code for December!!! We'd like to go 11/30 - 12/7...

Mine came by e-mail, and was targeted to passholders.

So if I do miraculously get some sort of pin for when we are going in Dec, will I be able to apply it to my AAA reservations? We were lucky enough to get free dining last year and we were able to apply it to our AAA reservations. I just wasn't sure if it would work with say the 40% off code. (I've heard mixed stories...)

I just noticed this post....
YES...you should be able to apply it...I had originally booked my package thru AAA, and when I got my PIN code for Kids stay, play and eat free, my AAA agent was able to apply it for me. I think that technically I lost my AAA discount, but I am still getting more for less.

So yes, they should be able to apply it, but you most likely won't get 40% off of your already discounted AAA rate.

Thanks for the extra info! Unfortunately we're not annual passholders. I'm still hoping for something in December. This time I'm going to try to hold off booking my trip until I see a discount.

Don't feel bad. We've been going two to three times a year since 1999 and have never gotten a PIN code and only once did we get a Bounceback Offer in our room. I have also signed up for everything using two different email addresses, DH is signed up as well and we are AP holders. I think they know that we'll be back regardless :confused3

I just got off the phone with Disney and I was told that as of Jan 1st they no longer can give out codes. :headache:

Was it part of the normal monthly email letter ("Hello") or a separate email? Also am a passholder but didn't receive anything and during the valid date.

We're booked in December with the 40% off Military code. We originally had booked thru Disney, but I asked our agent if she could apply the code and she did. So we canceled the direct ressie and rebooked thru AAA.

Mine said the same thing as Cinderumbrella, and it came as a stand-alone e-mail from Disney Destinations. I'm not sure I've ever gotten a monthly "Hello" e-mail! :badpc:

Looks like this one wasn't sent to all AP holders. Another one of those "no apparent rhyme or reason" mailings. :dance3:

Wow I called Disney and they gave me the 40% off code. I had no idea it was attached to my name. I just called and asked if there was anything and sure enough there was.

What your saying might be true but it's not being enforced to well through the CM's; because they are still checking codes for people.

Are these 40% off codes just for room-only rates (especially since they seem aimed at AP holders) or can you apply them to a vacation package?? I like to get 0% for 6 months on my Disney Visa. Thanks!!

40% off codes will be just for the room rate - but can be applied to either room only or a package. (We did both with ours, first booked room only, then switched to a package.)
