I'm also looking for a good deal in December. I am unfortunetly going during Pop Warner week so I doubt we will get anything. Right now, we are staying offsite but if we could stay onsite I would LOVE to!

I too am going during Pop Warner and booked with a 5/2 + $200 gift card that I received via email, I know the old 40% off post card also covered December, so there may eventually be some other deals out there.

OK, I called back and got WONDERFUL news! My husband is a 22 year retired Navy Commander and with the military discount this year we just saved $1550 on our room!!! We also are saving on our park tickets $749! I am SO thrilled! Now to the disappointing part....the Disney personnel on the phone told me that the free dining was going on now and that there would not be free dining in December.....I asked her if she was sure and she said yes. SO....we went ahead got the dining plan this time and will just wait and watch just in case one is offered. But I am SO excited for the the savings that we got! We are only paying $150 more than what we paid last year, even after adding one extra person AND the DDP! Good luck to all of you on our codes too!!!

Keep checking your email..I'm going that week too...got a PIN code via email that I was able to use. Even if you get a PIN code with different dates, call and see if it is good for any other dates.

So if I do miraculously get some sort of pin for when we are going in Dec, will I be able to apply it to my AAA reservations? We were lucky enough to get free dining last year and we were able to apply it to our AAA reservations. I just wasn't sure if it would work with say the 40% off code. (I've heard mixed stories...)

We have June 23 marked down, if Southwest does not come through we may cancel as flights are so high the week after Christmas. Airtan and Jet Blue may work but are pricey for the flight times we want.

Also hoping for a pin, had one that ended in June and could not use it.

I see we're not too far from each other. What dates/times are you looking at? I booked us on Delta with a departure from Boston at 7:15 AM (*give or take the times by a half hour or so) and arrival to Orlando at 10:15AM* - return flight depart 6:50 PM* arrive Boston 9:50 PM*. I chose these times so that we could fully utilize these days and not lose them to travel. I paid $204 with taxes for December 6 - 11.

We booked 12-28-09 to 1-1-10, the same flights you have are over $500 for that time period with Delta. Come on Southwest

Wow, I just read this entire thread! We had our two oldest granddaughters at the Poly May 12 -19. We had the 7/4 promo. (Got the room and park tickets at the 7/4 rate and DDP at regular rate.) On the 19th I booked a bounceback at the BWI for just DH and myself. We've never been at Christmastime. We wanted Dec 2 - 9. l learned that Dec 6-12 is blacked out for discounts. So we ended up booking Dec 1 - 8 and with 30% off for our first 5 nights and reg. rate for the last 2 nights.

I've applied for the Disney Visa card. Will be happy for any savings it may bring our way. I used a code that will give us a Disney gift card in the amount of $50 after first use of the card once my application is approved and issued.

It's a coupon in the back of Birnbaum Guides 2009 Walt Disney World. The offer is limited to first time cardholders only. You can call 1-888-509-4142 or visit Disney World50gift.com and mention key code 67XCO1. I applied on-line. They give a message at the end of the process that you will hear from them within 30 days. I don't know if, at some time, I will be asked to produce the actual coupon. Normal price for the book is $16.95 but I bought it at Border's with a 40% off Border's Rewards coupon. There are some other coupons in the back of the book. I'll probably use the Lego one at DTD during our trip if we find what we want for our grandson for Christmas there.

First, congrats on being able to use your discount code!

It shows there is some hope for winter discounts. It looks like Disney is excluding the POP Warner week for December from the discounts. This may be the same week they plan on doing the televised taping of the Christmas parade, too.

I hope others will share if they received a different, new offer, too.
