I will be at the POP from Dec 9 - Dec 16 with (sorry, I'm not sure of the different codes y'all use for hubbies and such) hubby, brother,mother, and father-in-laws and 9yr old nephew. First time to WDW for 3 of us and first time for ALL of us staying on Disney property!!!! we are really excited!!!

We'll be at POP during the same dates. It will be my DH, me, DS & DD (they will be 8 by then) and Dad and Step-mom. This will be our first trip for us as well. Last time I went was probably back in 73'. I'm hoping to make this a yearly (or every other year) trip

You might want to print out the abreviations page from the welcome board - it helps!

DH = dear Hubby

We have reservations at POR for 12/9-12/16. We are bringing family members that have never been to Disney: I don't know what is more exciting going back (this is our 5th trip) or seeing Disney through the eyes of a first timer

We'll be at POFQ 12/14-12/22. First time we'll be there to experience Disney at Christmas time. I feel like I'm re-learning how to plan for Disney all over again! And I'm LOVING it!

Me too, me too! Booked (last week) a 4 night cruise on the Wonder (12/23-12/27), then 5 nights at WDW (12/27-1/1) at POFQ. First time in Disney hotel, first holiday season. Very exciting, and a big suprise to DS and DD (we are not planning to tell anything until we pack).

Got a call today from my dad.....instead of the WLV, we're at the BWV from 12/11-12/18.....that was ALL that was available, according to DVC....almost everything is BOOKED for December. There's gonna be a LOT of people at WDW in December, it seems.

This was strickly DVC properties......my M&D own @ BWV, so they would have had to wait until May to book at WLV....we were concerned about space, so my dad called today to see what he could secure, which is when he found out just how LIMITED the DVC resorts were for December. He booked a 2-bedroom villa, and the dates we got were the only block we could get.....all the other arrival dates within the first two weeks of December had max avail of two consecutive days.

Back in 1999 when they bought in, it was much easier to make a reservation, but since the volume of DVC ownership has increased tenfold.....there are more people wanting to travel at the same time of year........... just my observation

Thanks. Although he only asked about DVC, I would have to guess that the trend is similar for reg. resort rooms & December is not going to be as empty as I had hoped, lol. Okay, NOT LOL! I picked my week because it was supposed to be slow...

DVC's top month is December because of the way their seasons go. While December is not as slow as it used to be, i dont think its going to be wall to wall people... there is still a lot of room availability online and on the phone.

our group of 4 girls will be at Pop 12/5-12/11, Can't wait, 2 of us will be celebrating birthdays while there. 2nd time at Disney, but 1st time in December If you see a blow up alien in the window... that's us.
