December 2007 Waitlist Thread

My waitlist at VWL in a studio for Dec. 26 and 27 came through 3 days ago.
I cancelled a one bedroom for those nights at the VWL I hope a Disser got it.

I'm still waitlisted for a 2bdrm at SSR for 12/4 and 12/6. I called yesterday to try to get a 1bdrm anywhere for those nights and there's nothing. I've been telling my DH how nervous I am about not having those 2 nights booked and he keeps telling me "don't worry, we'll get them, nothing to worry about, etc." When I told him that there aren't even any 1 bdrms anywhere for those nights, he was like "really? Are you serious?" I think he just doesn't understand that even though we got on the waitlists in early June, we might not get our dates. He and my DM are the reasons we're in this situation anyway!!!! I kept pushing and pushing to get a yes/no on a Dec vacation this year and to tie down some dates

My waitlist came through today! I got 12/2-12/5 2BR at BCV!! The family's happy!! (Maybe not as happy as me, though!)

I cancelled a 2BR and a 1BR at OKW - hopefully this can help out another family or 2.

Don't give up hope-waitlists seem to be moving a lot faster lately. We had a night come through last week as well.

I just got Dec 4th!!!! (2bdr ssr) Now, just waiting on the 6th, but my hopes are up again

The one thing that they did that I'll have to call and try to correct - I had stated that when the 4th or 6th came through, they'd cancel the 16th and use those points. This is because we're borrowing points and I don't want to use any more than I have to. Well, the 16th wasn't cancelled and they borrowed more points for the 4th.

J and R's mom - thanks. MS was VERY nice and the points were correct without issue. They put me on hold and "double checked" on the 6th for me, but nothing yet. They also voluntarily marked my waitlist request so that it doesn't expire at 31 days out.

Here hoping that the waitlists start coming through for everyone

My waitlist for a 2br at BWV (standard view) 12/9 - 12/14 just came through today!

That opens up 12/9-12/14 for someone at SSR.

We have been renting points for the last year, and have been seriously considering buying into DVC. But knowing that they have so many members people can't get a reservation 6 months in advance makes me reconsider joining.

If anyone who does get there waitlist reservation and wants to sell there other one we are looking for a two bedroom and two studios December 11-15.

That's really good news! I thought the construction was over at SSR and that all buildings were being booked. This will be really good for alot of folks out there waiting!

Yes, SSR , both the waitlisted 1BR and the studio I canceled.

I saw this so we called last night to check on our WL and the CM said there was still no availability for a studio Dec 2-8. Of course she wasn't really all that friendly/helpful, but we never seem to get an MS CM who is.. it always seems like we're bothering them/wasting their time when we call about our WL. It makes me not want to call...

We have Reserved (4) Studios (SS) Dec. 23 - Dec. 25 and (4) 1 BR.(SS) Dec. 25-28
We are waitlisted for (4) Studios to replace the (4) 1-BR (Dec. 25-28) -
I hope the waitlist (or partial) comes thru so we can save points as we are 4 families each w/ only 1 child so don't really need the (1) BR..............
