HI. I've been lurking here, thanks for all the info from y'all! I called this a.m. at 7:01 and was told no AP rates yet. then I come to this thread, and someone else had the same experience, except when they went in to work, all of a sudden there WERE AP rates..what's up with that??? (Thanks for posting it, BTW ) Anyway, I rushed to call, didn't really have to wait for long..Nice CM helped me figure out that I am perfectly happy with my $65/night for ALL nights at PC...with my AAA rate that I made many months ago. The new pricing strategy IS in force, here is what I checked out..

Dates are Dec 18-c/o Dec 26

WL standard-Starts at $200, goes up to $240 the last few days

POFQ Standard-total $1326.40 starts at $105 (that's cool) then goes up to $124(maybe weekend?), then goes up to $199...sorry I didn't write down the exact days, I was so flabbergasted at the price difference..I guess my (Start in Value Season, end in Holiday Season) Strategy days are over...I know other nonDisney resorts/hotels do this, doesn't mean I have to like it..

Before letting her go, I made absolutely sure that my entire week was at $65/night..I guess they can't really change it after you have confirmed it long ago, although I certainly wouldn't put it past them...I still love Disney...

I just tried again but all their computers are down. This happens every time a code comes out, you'd think they'd get a handle on it.

YES!!! call! I am going that same week (we are there 12/1 to 12/5) I thought we were blacked out, but figured it was worth a shot. THey didn't have anything at WL, which is where we are booked, we considered switching, but we need 2 rooms, and it just wasn't working. Let me know how it works out for you....I'm gonna try again tomorrow with the gen. code...If I can't get the disc. at WL and they have 2 disc. rooms at Poly, we'll switch there. I'll let you know, and maybe you can grab one of the WL rooms.

Please PM me if you cancel. That would be fantastic. We could only get AKL for $275 savings, but it's not worth it if I am pg and have a 2 yo to be that far from MK and with only bus transportation. Hoping for WL or an EPCOT deluxe.

Well I just changed my Pop reservations from AAA to AP for 12/13 to 12/18.
I was paying $65.60 ($73.80) I am now down to $59.00 ($66.37). Every little bit helps. I also added the AP Dining card promotion. I wanted a deluxe, but we have stayed at Pop many times, so we will manage.

This is unbelievable. I just got on the AP site again to do some searching for where we will end up now that the pricing structure has changed and guess what -- THE DISCOUNT IS NO LONGER LISTED. I know I read that they are having computer issues but to have something listed earlier and then it be erased is just crazy. This is not going well at all.

I am little bit confused on the room only discount. Does this mean that you can only use the discount if you are reserving a room OR does it mean that only the room portion of the package is discounted.

For example I want to book a trip to WDW Dec 14-21 and want to get park hoppers & the dining plan in addition to the nightly accomodations, would I be able to use the discount or not because I'm booking an entire package?

Finally! No luck with POP. They offered me Sports and POR. I don't want to get in with the POP warner crowd so Sports is out and we really had an unpleasant stay at POR in the spring. So I asked about CSR and they had one! I'm going to CSR! Two nights (Dec. 7-9, which I thought was blacked out) for 236.26, only $30 over my Preferred at POP.

Ihave read alot of posts all over the boards...now I am so mixed up as to how this will work!

we are there 12/18-26 at POR now part of that time is value, weekend and holiday so.... am I going to get all different rates for each day ?? Will I get a discount for our entire trip or only the days up until the discount expires??

Someone tell me how this is going to go down please. I have seen and read so many stories not sure what is what anymore!

My trip is booked through AAA but my parents is booked directly with Disney.

Will any discount codes be applied ON TOP of the AAA discount or INSTEAD of the discount?

I have called a couple of times in the past month and found no codes attached to either of our names, but is it worth calling again?

I called again and got the PIN with courtyard view 12/2-12/7 at WL.

They also had courtyard available with AP rate.

So people . . . keep calling!!! The availability is changing. I just knew I wouldn't get any discount based on how busy WL is for our dates.

I was worried too, reading all the post about Disney being booked up. I am going the 1st week if December (the same week I went last year) because the crowds aren't usually bad that week at the parks. I already have my trip booked but out of curiosity I went online to book some trips at various WDW Resorts the same week I was going and there was availability at all resorts. The All-Stars Movies was getting booked up though but that’s understandable where it’s the most popular value resort.

You have a good point about the Florida residents visiting more on the weekend especially because of the million dreams theme. Another reason they could have lengthened the MK Park hours compared to last year is due to the MVMCP. I’m a major planner so I did not have this problem. But last year I heard of a lot of guest complaining about MK closing early due to the MVMCP. Maybe Disney is listening to their complaints and staying open later on other nights to make up for it. Just an idea.

Anyways, I’m not worried. The resorts aren’t booked up for the time frame that I’m going and last year I wasn’t aware of the codes so I paid full price (and my CAA discount), not saying the codes wouldn't be a nice bonus. I just hope the parks aren’t too crowded with the Million Dreams promotion going on.

Do you get your CAA discount in addition to a code if it is released? We have already booked and paid with CAA. Thanks Kathy

We found absolutely nothing available - not one resort - for 11/30 for 4 nights, yet Blue Fairy was able to get nights at the AP rate at our resort (we have 4 ngts AAA rate, but hoping for AP or will have to change resorts)- so happy for you!!

Maybe Fri and Sat is what is blocking us out - we are going to try to split the stay into 2 reservation for 2 nights each and see if that helps.

Yes, do try that. My TA was trying similar dates and coming up with nothing. We chose 12/2 checkin to avoid the weekend crowds. And also, I tried multiple times, requesting the same thing each time before someone said "yes" to a discount. And then he had 2 for me. So it is changing constantly. I think I asked 6 or 7 CMs the same question this morning.

I'm happy! Already had a room only booked for 12/15-22 AKL using a pin code which saved me almost $500. Just called and rebooked at AP rate and saved another $40 plus we check in on the 15th so we get the $75 dining card.

We feel especially lucky since there haven't been any AAA discounts for the CR Atrium Club since we booked our room last January. This was really our only chance to get a discount given that we don't want the Dining Plan or any ticket package with our concierge room.

Thank goodness for these boards! We saved enough money to cover our airfare!

It'll be both football players (who are fine) and cheerleaders (whom I avoid like the plague.) I'm going the week of the superbowl and cheer championships so I was trying to avoid the AS resorts and they overflow to POR as well sometimes. They could stay anywhere but I've been at CSR the last few years those same dates and have never seen them there.
