December 2007 Code Watch

I am probably repeating a post from other threads - but I didn't see it on this one - From Mousesavers:

"Disney Rewards Visa Fall Vacation Package Promotion
Disney Rewards Visa cardholders can purchase a discounted Walt Disney World resort package for check-in dates 9/30/07-11/19/07, 11/24/07-11/28/07 and 12/8/07-12/23/07. It must include at least a minimum stay of 3 nights and at least a 1-Day Magic Your Way ticket. There is very limited availability.

This discount may be applied to a regular Magic Your Way Package or a Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining.

I anticipate that a similar package will become available to the general public on 8/16/07. "

I just emailed my TA - I hope people can get some good discounts! :woohoo:

How thoughtful of you to post it here as well:flower3:

There are a couple of threads just for this discount, but the discounts require a pkg and the savings do not seem to be all that great. CBR came out to about $109.81 per ngt minus the 1 day tkts.

Although it is better than the AAA rates for the time I checked (11/30 - 12/, 2007).
:flower2:

I thought that the resorts must be booked solid at the end of December as we tried to extend our stay at the GF with the 28 & 29 Dec and we were coming up with no availability at the GF and very limited choices at other Deluxe resorts.

I was messing around with availability online and if I put in dates ranging from 12/20 - 12/30 I could have my pick of most room types at any of the Deluxe resorts. Just couldn't book the 2 days on their own.

I know this date coencides with the rate change but we already had a reservation from 12/17 - 12/28

DH phoned to ask why we couldn't add an extra 2 days to our exisiting reservation and ended up being put through to Guest Relations who immediately added on the extra 2 nights no questions asked. So we now have our reservation from 12/17 - 12/30 after being told by CRO for the last 2weeks that there was no availability :confused3

Just on the look out now for a code or an AP discoount

Oh I am so excited about the code! Thank you for posting! I'm really hoping I'll be able to upgrade to a moderate for my budget or at the very least come in under budget at PoP.

Ack! My TA is out of the office until the 16th! :faint: I emailed her this morning but I'll bet she already has a gazillion emails, asking the same thing - "Can I apply the discount?"

We're at POP from Dec 23-31 so does that mean that if there is a code that comes out good until the 23 we'll get that code also?

Im on the phone with Disney right now as I type this. This promo is not being honored at POP. they are making me move my ressie!!! GRRR

Ugh! With the slight discounts people are getting, plus the fact that Pop is blocked out, looks like this will be doing me no good what so ever.

I just called too, cause the first link posted did not include my dates, but another did....anyway, found out I have a PIN attatched to my name as well, but nothing is avail at our resort. apparently my personal PIN is the same disc. as the Disney Visa code, but she wouldn't tell me exactly what the discount is. She did find standard view at BC for 12/1 to 12/5 with 5 day park hoppers and dining for $2301.56. I priced it out online at rack rate and that came out to $2797.50 so you'd save almost $500. The problem is that we need 2 rooms cause my in-laws are coming too, and there was nowhere where they had 2 rooms with the codes for our dates, so my in-laws would wind up paying more than they are now with AAA.
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know what I found and mention that it's not a bad idea to call and see if you have a PIN code...mine may be due to the Disney visa... I'm not sure, but I've NEVER had one before:thumbsup2

Well phoeey. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens when the public code breaks.

I might upgrade to a mod if the price was right, but with needing 2 rooms, I doubt I'd save enough to make it feasible.

I don't know that I want to switch to one of the other value resorts...maybe ASMu...or is that the one that has the pool down?

I'm also going 12/1 to 12/8, I thought these dates were blocked out!!! :sad1: Was it the pin code that gave you the discounted rate?

We are going to be at AKL Dec 14-17. I originally had Savannah rooms booked and with the code, they didn't have availability for a Savannah room.I basically could've gotten a bunk bed room for the same price or a standard view for $400 less. I took the standard view. I hope that I'm not dissappointed. I know that the boys won't care so much about the view and i'm more than happy to go sit outside with a cup of coffee while they sleep, so I think it will work out for us! I'm just happy they had something and that i was able to get a discount at all. I didn't expect there to be any availability with the code since AKL was booked solid for Dec. a while ago.:thumbsup2

Squee. I cannot wait to get home and call.

That's what I thought, too, but apparently the Visa code is avail. mid Oct-12/23. I'd get on the phone and give it a shot. The choices were slim, but here's somepixiedust: for you! Good luck!!! Let us know what happens!

Well crud. That's where I'm booked at too. What hotels is it being offered at?

Sounds like it just depends on your dates, and probably also who you talk to. I'm sure it changes quickly as people book and change resorts if needed. They told me to call back in a couple days to trya nd get the 2nd room at WL changed to Bunk beds, as apparently many people are switching resorts to get a disc. Also, the way the savings look, Check out the mods, too, it could be close to if not a little less than what you are paying now at Pop, unless you have a good disc. already.

That's what I'm really hoping to get is a mod. We've never stayed at PO and would love to do it this trip. I've trying to stay at (or under) $2,000 for this trip -including dining. I've got that right now at PoP but if I can move up for the same I would. I love PoP and we'll be happy there - I just love trying new resorts!

I was worried too, reading all the post about Disney being booked up. I am going the 1st week if December (the same week I went last year) because the crowds aren't usually bad that week at the parks. I already have my trip booked but out of curiosity I went online to book some trips at various WDW Resorts the same week I was going and there was availability at all resorts. The All-Stars Movies was getting booked up though but that’s understandable where it’s the most popular value resort.

I think pop warner is going on the first week of december this year, the website lists it from dec 2-8, that might be why the all-stars is so busy..

I just emailed my AAA TA. I have to wait to see if my DD is going with us...she has exams that week (good planning on my part don't you think!):lmao:. I already have POR booked for Dec. 9-15.:santa: I am hoping to get a good enough discount that we can afford a deluxe resort - maybe AK or WL. Or is this wishful thinking. I already got the AAA discount so I am not sure if the Disney Visa discount will be any better. I will wait to see what she says. Hope they don't book up too quickly, DD doesn't go back to school until Aug. 20. We are hoping she will finish up her exams on 12/12 and can join us for 3 days. Which will work out great. It will give DH and I some time to ourselves and DD a change to go to AK park. She has never been there before.

Please let me know if it saves you anything over the AAA rate. I am booked through AAA, and am wondering if it will actually be a savings to us or just a wash.
