Piglets Mommy, I am being completely honest when I say that there are mostly good people out there. Just look in the mirror. Everyone keeps waiting for the BIG chance to do something. It is the little things that count. You never know what a smile might mean to someone or a note. Does not seem much to YOU but that might be just what the other person needs to keep going one more day. Think of the things that have meant the most to you during your life and I bet you will find it was the small, unexpected things that people did for you NOT the expensive things.
The wonderful thing about being kind to others is that you make them and yourself happy and often others see the act and decide to do something similar. The place I see this most is at DW where people seem to go out of their way to be kind to each other.
There are a few threads, mostly written by the same people, who might make you think otherwise however I have found that people are most apt to write about bad things than good things and so they stick out more. Unfortunately people seem to click on those threads with unfortunate titles more than the happy ones too. JMO
I always bring a winter coat, just in case, and carry a disposable raincoat in my purse every day. Figure if I am prepared it will NOT happen!!
Pass it on folks! When someone does something nice for you please do not repay the person who did it as it takes away a bit of their happiness in being able to do it BUT pass it on to someone else. I have folks in my life that I can never repay cause they are so much more skilled than I but I am more skilled than someone else and can do for them. Warms the cockles of my heart and occasionally I warm someone else.
Back to work for me. No rain means no mowing but still lots of other yardwork. Looking mighty nice though. Come on over and see!!
