December 2007 Code Watch

Yes you can. I just called as soon as I got the code and told them I wanted to change it. They cancelled my first reservation and got me a new one with the code. It's just as easy as that.

I just made my reservations today for 12/8-12/15. will this week be a good time to go?? Also, if a code would come out can I call and have my reservation changed??

It looks like we've got the same dates. The answer to your question is "yes!":cool1:

Raven and Tink, I can promise you that is a wonderful time to go. We have been there often and will be back from the 9th-19th this year!!

Christmas decorations, low crowds and the weather is usually good, at least for us Northeners. You can always tell the Florida residents cause when it gets below 80 they put on jackets. :rotfl2:

Hey now.... Don't you laugh at us "natives"! It was 72 here last night... almost chilly for June!!

lorasmom, who me? I would never laugh at cha but would gladly laugh WITH you!! See you September. Bring your winter coat. :lmao:

That is good to hear! Can't wait!!

I remember when we went in Dec. 2005, it was colder in WDW than it was when we left PA. We bought Mickey:santa: and Minnie:santa: hats not only b/c they were cute, but we had only brought lightweight jackets & no hats and were cold. We didn't bring any gloves either. Now we know better for this year. It did get warmer during the days though. DS even swam one afternoon.

Does Pop Warner bring that much of a crowd????

From what I've read and been told, they usually don't go to the parks though. It just makes the resort they're staying at crowded (generally Sports and I think the overflow is POFQ..but not 100% on that)

tinkerbell1967, just make sure to bring a sweatshirt or jacket or two as the weather can be a bit iffy. Sometimes it is very warm, sometimes cold, and occasionally both in the same trip. :rotfl:

One one trip we were sitting at the RR to see the parade and fireworks when we met a family with 5 kids. 3 were in a double stroller so I covered them with my jacket. One of the other girls decided that I would make a good wind break and jumped in my lap. The other one was slower to come around but she ended up there too. It was one of the best parades I have ever enjoyed and made me so glad to be a fluffy grandma.:rotfl2:

I think the Pop Warner crowds are gone before we get there mid December. I have been there when they were there and had no problems but then I cannot hear well and usually get a parking lot room so I am not subject to all the comings and goings. :)

Slightly Goofy, reading your post warmed my heart. It was really nice the way you welcomed the children while watching the parade. My children are still growing: DD12, DS10, & DD8. I can only hope that they come across more people like you in their lives.

slmcn66, I am not anything special. There are far more folks like me than any others. It is just a scary world out there and some people are afraid to deal with children. I am just lucky to have been born a woman and am of a certain age so kids seem to like me. I often say they think I look like a lady with a lot of toys. It is true too!

It is my DIS mission to convert other DISers who watch the parades from the RR station to allow small children to sit in front of them. The adults can still see quite well and what a magical moment you give a child. Does not cost a thing.

Slightly Goofy who hopes to meet you and yours one day too!

SlightlyGoofy, thank you for being you! You sound like a wondeful person....adding some pixie dust to children's vacations!pixiedust: I wish there were more people out there like you!

Thanks for the tip on dressing and bring warmer clothing, just in case! We had visited one Thanksgiving and of course the week we visited a cold spell came through. Luckily we had our winter coats along but sure were not expecting to wear them!!

Piglets Mommy, I am being completely honest when I say that there are mostly good people out there. Just look in the mirror. Everyone keeps waiting for the BIG chance to do something. It is the little things that count. You never know what a smile might mean to someone or a note. Does not seem much to YOU but that might be just what the other person needs to keep going one more day. Think of the things that have meant the most to you during your life and I bet you will find it was the small, unexpected things that people did for you NOT the expensive things.

The wonderful thing about being kind to others is that you make them and yourself happy and often others see the act and decide to do something similar. The place I see this most is at DW where people seem to go out of their way to be kind to each other.

There are a few threads, mostly written by the same people, who might make you think otherwise however I have found that people are most apt to write about bad things than good things and so they stick out more. Unfortunately people seem to click on those threads with unfortunate titles more than the happy ones too. JMO

I always bring a winter coat, just in case, and carry a disposable raincoat in my purse every day. Figure if I am prepared it will NOT happen!!

Pass it on folks! When someone does something nice for you please do not repay the person who did it as it takes away a bit of their happiness in being able to do it BUT pass it on to someone else. I have folks in my life that I can never repay cause they are so much more skilled than I but I am more skilled than someone else and can do for them. Warms the cockles of my heart and occasionally I warm someone else.

Back to work for me. No rain means no mowing but still lots of other yardwork. Looking mighty nice though. Come on over and see!!

Count Me IN ...... Patiently waiting for codes for December 14th and 15th for the end of our trip.

We are booked in for ten days in December but I would not mind a couple of more days on the front even though I cannot hope to match the $49 deal I have for the ten days.

I go slow.:upsidedow

I agree...It seems like at WDW, you tend to find more people who like to "spread pixie dust" than just about anywhere else. And yes, a smile and a friendly hello can go a long way in making someone's day. If everyone just greeted everyone with a friendly smile, the world would be a better place.

There was a thread on here late May/ early June about spreading Pixie dust in WDW....had lots of great things people had done for others...giving out glow bracelets, buying other kids balloons, buying snacks for others, etc...all fairly simple things, but things that mean a lot.

By the way...your garden is beautiful!
