December 2005 Info, Code, Dining, & Special Package Watch! :)

I'll be staying at the ASMovies from the 14th-20th (though the 15th will be our first offical day as well as our FIRST MVMCP!!!!! So excited). Ok...I apologize if this has been asked, I know how annoying to see a REPEAT question, but I haven't QUITE made it thru this thread (though I'm doin my dardest....keep getting side tracked by other threads).

I've heard someone mention that passes purchased solely to get the FREE DINING can be applied as an upgrade to APs. So, assuming that free dining is extending thru Dec., I can apply these one day base tickets towards an AP, even if, for example, it is a Florida resident seasonal pass? Is it applied dollar for dollar or as a percentage? So, what do I do, pick up the passes at the front desk during check in then upgrade them at a park ticket window? Has anyone done this? If I cannot apply them, do they expire? I know that you can purchase anti-expiration pixie dust for multi-day tickets but it isn't an option for one day passes. So does that mean my family can use them on a Universal trip, say, 2 years from now?

You guys are more obsessive and informed than me...and I never thought that was humanly possible...can't wait for responses/answers!

What type of rate is that? That is less than half!!!! Or, is this off the rack for busy season?

It's a group rate we got through my TA. They have rooms blocked at one of the all stars for $59, POR and PORFQ for $89, WL Courtyard view for $204 and the Poly GV for $234 for the first week of December. So it saved us a small bundle. I was so glad not to have to play the best rate game or worry about codes. If free dining is released we may change depending on how the numbers crunch, other than that I got less than best rate for POR and same as best rate for Poly but not having to renew our APs so I'm happy!

Good Morning ALL,
I, along with everyone else on these boards, keep wishing for some kind of code/discount for our trip. My wife & daughter, her parents & brother, my mother, sister, brother-in-law, newphew, niece, grandparents, & aunt are all going down the 2nd-11th. It is basically the entire group that came to our Disney wedding at Sunset Pointe on 10-29-02. This will be daughters first trip. We are statying at Grand Floridian and others are staying at POR and POLY. A discount would help every out. But, just like everyone else, we are going to RELAX, LOVE, & ENJOY WDW regardless of a discount or not.

We will be staying at AKL Dec 4-11. Adj. rooms for the six of us. We got a good room only discount with AAA, but the dining plan sure would be nice!

Us too - Dec 26 - Jan 2. Have CBR at rack rate now. No go with Best Rate for that week. It's blacked out. Waiting to see if they release Fall/Winter AP rates the old way. If they blackout the week between Chistmas and New Years, I'm off site too.

Just an update-

I talked to CRO today about December room rates, and the CM said that AP rates should be out in about a week! Not sure if it's true, but wanted to pass it along!

I keep wishing and waiting for a better rate...Right now we have switched from AKL over to WL for our December trip. Not worried too much about free dining, have DDE, but would like a better discount than AAA.

Oh, I hope it's true about the AP rates! Our trip with the marching band this Dec. is going to be our last trip to WDW for a while , and I'd love to save some money on our room so I can spend it on souvenirs and other stuff.

I've noticed that *new* rates are released right around the time the old ones expire. I'm not sure what AP rates are but I get the feeling they are right in line with florida resident rates. AND.....since the summer discount rate AND the chance to book free dining thru Oct 4 are both about to expire within a weeks time.....I get the feeling that new rates are about to pop up for the winter value season. SO your CM was probably right......IM SO EXCITED!!!! COME ON FREE DINING!! I have a five year old that eats more than the rest of us combined....he's grown 6 inches in the last 9 mos! I think kids at school must be slipping him some HGH or something.

I just booked the best guest rate for Wilderness Lodge for December 24- January 3...$185/night plus tax for courtyard view room. I am sooooooo happy that they finally released these dates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going in December ( 7th-12th ), we haven't booked any rooms or packages yet. I'm new to this website, and know nothing about all of these " codes". I would love any help I can get. We were going to stay at either the All Star Movie, Pop Century, or All Star Sports ( stayed there in 2004). Please help!

There is an Annual Pass Best Rate discount but I believe you missed the 120 day cut off. Keep checking this website in the next two weeks and their might be a regular annual pass discount code.

Also if you are a member of AAA they offer discounts.
