December 2005 Info, Code, Dining, & Special Package Watch! :)

December 23 - January 2nd at Fort Wilderness. We haven't decided on a loop preference yet, we're just basking in the happiness of having gotten a site! There'll be 3 of us (me, DH, DD-12). Is it time to start planning Illuminations cruises yet? :teeth:

Hi,
I'm hoping my family of 5 can go 1st week of Dec but I have nothing reserved yet. We stayed off-property last time (1/04). Can you tell me how you all fit in a Disney room? My kids are 10-13 and can't fit in a tot-size daybed anymore. I assumed we'd have to get 2 rooms, and am keeping a close eye out for better rates.

We have AAA, but are still waiting for phone-in codes as we don't currently have AP. Hopefully they will come out, it would benefit them as well because buying an AP would probably sucker me into planning another trip within a year. If not, my wife will win the battle to take another Alaska cruise next spring! :cold:

You could try to get a room at POR and ask for a trundle bed. It is a twin size bed that rolls under the main bed when not in use (this might be a little cramped for 5 people though). OR you could get adjoining rooms at POP (I can't recommend the All Stars as I've had three really bad experiences there but we love POP) -- that way you'd have enough beds and an additional bathroom and TV. As an aside, alot of the daybeds in the Deluxe resorts are actually pull out beds but make sure you ask when making the reservation so there are no unpleasant surprises. You're going at a great time of year so have fun and good luck with those rate codes.

We are going in Dec too, the 10th thru the 18th. We'll be there for our 1st anniversary! We actually got married at Disney last year on the 16th! The wedding was a family thing. Now planning our 1st anniversary, some of the family will be there too. We'll be doing MVMCP on the 13th. We all did the MVMCP last year the night we got married! Kinda neat huh. Anyway, we will be staying at a 1 bedroom villa at the Boardwalk. We'll share this with my inlaws, they'll only be there 3 days. I called and got a reservation. I tried the best rate, with the AP but no villas were an opiton. We are Fla residents, so the cm told me to call back in Oct for the fl resident rate to be applied. To ge an AP rate, do you have to book online? I know to get the best rate it has to be online. But to just get a simple flat AP discount, can that happen over the phone? I am sooo excited. I'm just trying to plan, plan plan!

Hope to get in a small trip in the begining of Dec. (9-11.)
Add me to the list of those waiting for codes ....

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ok...guess I'll join in. We actually just got back about a week and a half ago from a three week disney vacation . LOVED IT !! I still havent recooped from all that relaxation. I just hate how life smacks ya back to reality when you get home. Anyways, last night my hubby goes on disney.com and pulls up the CBR. Thats where we stayed. He loved to listen to the intro music for the CBR before we went and would keep saying... This is where we're goin guys. Well last night he pulls it up again and says can you believe its over? Three weeks there and its OVER!!! (We already planned on going back next year so I'm already dreaming about that) then he says the UNEXPECTED....hmmm maybe we should go during THIS christmas. I just about fell off my chair. Could it be that I've now turned him into a Disney freak also?? :rotfl: . My question is we have always gone in the summer. Used to be May when the kiddies were younger but now that they are older the last 7 times were in July. I'm so excited that hes even considering it and even more excited that HE was the one to suggest it. Can anyone give me information on Disney in Dec. I'd appreciate it as I have NO CLUE how to plan a trip in Dec. I'd love any info you could offer.
thanks

Glad you had a nice vacation. You'll love Disney in December. The Christmas decorations are beautiful. I would recommend the Candle Light Processional and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party. It is cooler at night and you may need to wear pants and a jacket. We have had really good weather during the day when we were there. Mid 70 to low 80's. I've heard from others that they have had days as cold as the 50's. I'm from Vermont so that would still be warm to me for that time of year. ;) We stay at the Beach Club. Hope that helped.

Hi everyone! Welcome to all the newcomers! :wave2:

If you'll look at the first post in this thread (all the way back on page 1), you'll find links to Christmas related posts and websites. Hope that helps you in your planning!

I can't wait to go... just really, really hoping for some good discounts or free dining while we're there! :flower:

Can't wait!! Already starting to gather things to pack, and collecting "souvenirs" from the Disney Store here for the kids.

I'm definitely interested in the codes too!! :earsboy:

Going to MVMCP on December 4.

My daughter's birthday is December 3 and we're hoping to do either breakfast or lunch in the Castle to celebrate that event.

Tip for everyone: Alamo and Thrifty have specials right now for rental cars for a week, that will allow you to book that rate in December. We've got our van rented as there are two families traveling together.

Great thread. Thanks for all the information. I especially can't wait to find out more about the Candlelight Processional for 2005. :earsgirl:

We're looking for any discounts we can get our hands on...traveling in two groups one from central tx and one from central AR...

looking at 7 nights hopefully at the poly...

Best Rate for Dec 2-9 $305 for Beach Club! I'm really disappointed I thought it would be lower :sad2: I may try AAA instead.
