Wow, You have had a rough week. Next week will be better!
A six hour layover will be really hard. Hopefully they will have some gift shops to browse in. Some airports have small play area for kids to use during long layovers, maybe yours will too. My DD has had her kids use them before the help pass the time. I had a 10 hour layover on a train trip across the U.S. once. I was by myself, no kids to entertain, but it was aweful, boring and very tiring.
Luckily for you DD hives usually clear fairly fast. One of my daughters had them once, just before she was to go to her first party she had been invited to. That was a real bummer. Lots of tears,
We had a rough week too. Too many things to say, but I fractured 2 toes, got a sinus infection, got an infection in my side, DH pulled a muscle in his shoulder, Sons car was suppose to be ready to pick up after a month of waiting for repirs(long story), but wasnt 100% fixed so had to return it after driving only 3 miles. It's his first new car a 2005. But he got it back today, and my toes are better, I can walk without much pain and I can get my shoe back on, the sun came out today so things are going to be getting better for both our families!!!
Sorry I cant help with the shots, I had to have iron shots that were very painful, but from what I've heard yours are much worse. I will blow some pixie dust your way for good luck. Keep us posted when you feel up to it. Let me know when you get to WDW sometime and maybe I could pop over and connect up with you for a couple of minutes to say Hi. We are there almost every weekend, so it wouldnt be hard to do for me.

Sounds like you had a worse week! I am sorry to hear about your foot and everything else. It's terrible when you have a new car like that, we just got our new car back from the shop some recall not really a recall ( that is what they called it) I would like to meet when we are in disney. I will be there from september 10-16. I wish it were a longer trip but we are off to fort lauderdale for a week too. I would be in heaven to be at disney world everyweek.

When september get here we'll have to set up a weekend day that your at disney and we'll try to hook up with you for a few minutes to introduce ourselves. I wont keep you long as I know what it is like to vacation at WDW. You need every minute to do as much as you can because the days just fly by. We'll discuss the detail just before you come.

Things are getting better around here. I canwear my shoes and walk without much pain now. My son finally go this car back and it is working properly. And all the other things are improving too.
Are you doing a door sign? If so, what are you going to put on it?

Howdy everyone,
I dont know if any of you are interested but I just found out that both Wave Bands and Rock N Bar D are now smoke free clubs. They use to be smoking.
So now each ship has 2 smoking and 2 non smoking clubs.
My DH is allergic to cigarette smoke so for us this is great news. Now we can go and enjoy so much more without worring about getting ill.
I did confirm this with DCL to make sure.
I also wrote them and thanked them for the change, because we do appreciate it.
Just thought I'd let everyone know, in case you hadnt heard yet.

That is great!! I had not heard that.
I am very sensitive to smoke, and DH had problems with his voice after being in there when it was crowded! So many fun things happen in there, that I'm glad they made it smoke free!!
(the smokers can allways run next door if they get desperate!!)

we are all doing better! I hope that you are too!! Gabby's hives have not returned and she has been in a better mood. I would like to insert a picture of her on the board if someone can tell me how? What are door signs I saw it on another post and am just wondering what they are. I will def. plan something for Sept. I am looking foward to it!

Howdy,
Glad to hear your all doing better.
The door signs can be done many different ways.
Some people buy a magnetic strip 8x10 or 12x12 that will stick to their stateroom door. The doors are metal so anything you can attach magnets too will work. Then they personalize them according to any number of themes.
Some will say Honeymoon or Anniversary cruise, perhaps it will have their names or pictures on it. Some will say "Smith's family reunion cruise"2005 and add pictures or names to it. I have seen some with a Mickey Pirate picture and their kids names and pirate pictures around the frame. it's completely up to each family to do what ever they want. Some are very creative and fun to look at as you go down the halls. Some people even put their Dis Board names on them. There have been a few people who have had pranksters write dirty words with felt markers on their signs or draw obscene pictures on it. A couple of people had theirs stolen off the door. That is really sad that someone would ruin someone else's fun, but it has happened, not often thank goodness. So if you make a sign, make sure it is something that if it gets ruined it wont be too upsetting for you.
It really is a fun, creative project to do. I'm still thinking if I'm going to do one or not. In September I iwll start going full steam for getting things like that done for the cruise.
Let me know if you make one, I always like to read about the different ideas everyone has for their own personal sign.

Glad to have you with us. Our cruise is so far away, but we are slowly growing in numbers. When you were on the Magic before did you do the Eastern or the Western cruise? We have dont the Eastern twice and this December we will be doing the Western. Do you have any favorite excursions?

Thanks for the welcome....

We haven't done either the Eastern or the Western....we did the 14 day Panama Canal Crossing (REPO) cruise in May.

We were originally scheduled to cruise on the 10 day Christmas 2006 cruise but things changed and we re-scheduled for this cruise.

Can't wait to meet everyone....hope we have as many fun events planned as we did on the Panama cruise.

I just wanted to say that after seeing the post about the special cruises I changed my cruise and am now booked for the 10 night cruise in september 06. I hope everyone has a wonderful time in december.

I was torn too! I am sad to not go to wdw for the holidays but I will just plan to do it another year. This was such a good deal for me. I lowered our stateroom cat and only paid $8.00 more total for a ten night cruise! I am sad though that I will not be on the ship in Dec.
