December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

Yep, one big kid is right! ::yes:: :rotfl: he was giving the old bitties a hard time :snooty:

I don't think they liked kids as they kept giving my little boy the evil eye :scared: If you change your mine about PC...come on by and sit with us and your DH can burp & mine will pick :crazy2: and you and I can sit waaaaay in the back while they watch the kids! :rotfl: hehehehe! :joker:

well dang make room for my family at THAT table!!

hehehe - we would fit right in...DH and DD have contests at times and I usually just walk away shaking my head!!...

Since there will be 11 of us I can not see them sitting us with anyone and I really hope they don't- my brother and sister in law are a tad boisterous (SP?) my sister and my brother in law are deaf so at times they make noises that people stop and stare :sad2: and to add to that we have 4 teenagers Dh and I will be just sitting there grinning and hoping that the drinks soothe us..eheheheh just kidding (kinda!) My Dsister-in-law#2 that is also going called last night and wanted to have me go online and pay off her cruise. I tried but it didnt work - she was going to have to call - so as far as I know - all 11 are paid in full - 3 of us have our excursions booked - the rest will book on Monday. then we are only two months and a few days out......

We will stay in Boston on 11/30 for a flight out on 12/1 - staying at the Hyatt on 12/1 and grab the shuttle to PORT on 12/2 - I have rented a van at Hertz for this one day so we can go to stores and get water and liquor and spend day at DownTown Disney....

DD alreay met with teachers and we will just follow up with them in November. She would like to spend Tday weekend doing homework so as not to have to bring on ship :) :)

Everyone have a great day - today is DH and my 16 wedding anniversary - so Dd is gone to school - and we are off from work.. eheheh breakfast out - lunch out and dinner (who knows!! ) :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Tinks&SquirtsMom - We were thinking about staying at Vero Beach after the cruise. I have been watching for discount codes too. You're a better shopper than me, I couldn't find them. I just looked on mousesavers and still couldn't find it (duh). Could you point me in the right direction?

Thanks a bunch.

Can I join your table, too? My 2 (DH and DS) go out of their way to embarass mom. One really memorable occasion comes to mind - Christmas morning at the poly 2 years ago and DS got one of those Air hogs. Figured out how to use the air pump to make really nasty sounding arm farts. I was sitting on the balcony and everytime someone would come by they would make the noise. I got the nastiest looks from women, the men all knew it had to be a kid (and a big kid) doing it. I finally had to get up and go get breakfast and leave them to their fun. They were :rotfl2: :lmao:

We had problems getting a table at topsiders too so we usually head to Parrot Cay. You can ask them if they can seat you by yourself. Last time we were worn out from traveling and did not feel like talking to anyone. They accommodated the request.

Our plan is to fly in on the 30th and spend 2 days at Disney. I want my Candlelight Processional fix and since we aren't spending Christmas in Disney this year, this will be my only chance. Not sure what we are doing after yet because the flights are still kind of high. Oh well, worst case, we go back to Disney for a day or two. Can't complain about that. :teeth:

Happy Anniversary alwayslisad!

The weekends here and Octoberfest is going on down the street. Gonna be a great weekend! Hope everyone is having a great Friday!!

Cheryl

Happy Anniversary! I love days like that--every meal out! Unfortunately, we won't be able to do that tomorrow (cub scout meeting, godson's birthday party, daughter's photo at music school--anniversary takes the back seat to all this "important stuff"). The only thing we need to do sometime tomorrow is eat Chinese food at some time. It is a tradition since the day we got married, and at this point, sharing an egg roll as we drive around town will do!

I ended up getting DH the watch box, but the sale wasn't as good as I thought. No free shipping this time, so I deleted everything else I got and I'll just wait for the next sale. I got $25 off for spending over $100, but then paid $13.50 for shipping, so that wasn't a good enough bargain for me.

TrolleyGirl: The code I used was BJC. I called (407) 939-7775 and they had no problem applying it for me. It took 20% off.

PrincessDaisy: Sorry I was kind of misleading there. My flights were $99 EACH way. $218 total after taxes which is pretty good from here. Last time the cheapest nonstop (I'm not a good flyer so I prefer nonstops to just get it over with) I could find was $249 before taxes and fees, this year it was $367. So I'm ecstatic with $218 and looking forward to the individual tvs on Jet Blue. :happytv:

I have been trying to keep up on the boards although I haven't posted much ... I am so looking forward to the cruise and the time with my family!

Has anyone done the Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel? What are your experiences?

I am sure I will have more to add, but in our usual fashion we are in a rush onto another activity!

Cheryl, yes come have the family join the burbing, farting, picking table :rotfl: I am sure our families will leave a great impression and no worries about snobby bittie glares!:snooty: :rolleyes2 :hyper2:

Momof6: pixiedust: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! Enjoy that egg roll (yumm, that sounds good right now) that tradition sounds great!pixiedust: party: :rockband: :dancer:

Tink&squirtsmom: That is still a great deal! I have never flown JetBlue but heard good things...I am not sure if they fly out of San Diego??

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! It is so nice to "hear" from you all!! :grouphug:

ps. wow, it is actually starting to feel a little like fall her in SD...nice cool breeze and some gray clouds. It sure is nice to have weather..

Momof6: That is such a cute tradition. I don't have the best track record for anniversaries. My dd's bday is the next day, so we can't do a night alone the night of without missing her bday morning, and we are usually doing something for her bday (putting together a bike bike, prepping for her party, whatever) the night of. This year I got home from Kenya on our anniversary, and pretty much slept through it. Poor dh.

PrincessDaisy: Its just gotten cooler here too, was in the 70's with a nice cool breeze all day yesterday. I LOVE it. Feels like fall. Of course its supposed to be 90 again by Monday. Yuck.

Who here is dressing up for Pirates Night? My kids will be Capt Jack and Elizabeth Swann, but dh isn't into it. So I probably will just wear my POTC tee and a bandana on a my head. I wish I could get him to go full costume but last time only one family dressed on the cruise (it was pretty new to the Wonder then) so he doesn't want to.

Tink&Squirtsmom: All four of us are dressing up for Pirates night. We are all just being regular Pirates though. DS dressed up like Captain Jack in 2003 for Halloween and doesn't want to do him again. I made his costume and his whole head was soaked when he took the wig off. (he doesn't want to go through that again I guess). pirate:
DH works out of state and has been picking up pieces for his costume a little at a time. He called me last night and said he got his pirates teeth. I asked him if he really wanted to take it that far. He is really into the Pirates Night, he can't wait. Then again, he is like a BIG kid.... :thumbsup2

Michele

tinkandsquirtsmom: My ds6 and ds9 will be dressing up for pirate night but my dh and I are not. We will put a bandana on our heads but that is about it. My ds6 is crazy about anything pirates and would probably love it if we all dressed up but I don't think that is going to happen. pirate:

We are going all out for Pirate Night. We have bought costumes and accessories for each of us. Last time, only our son dressed up. After getting a family picture taken that night with him in costume and us in regular clothes, we thought it would be fun to get one with all of us in costume. We will also be using the costumes for Halloween, so I don't feel as bad forking out the dough for them.

DH, DD and I will dress up on our side. DBrother and DSIL will dress up (since we got the outfits last night) not sure about the rest of the group! I Hope so it is so much fun

Has anyone else found out there room #'s yet? I guess if we are playing door magnet tag we need to make sure everyone knows each others room numbers. I have been working on different magnet designs, I just need to print them.

I guess I won't know what our real room number is until we get our Doc's... :)

I have

DisneyCruising in room 8016
Feenie in room 5020
PenskeSth1 in room 7094thru dreams /Disney has us in 7064

PenskeSth1: Ds was Capt Jack last year. Luckily the costume still fits. Its from the Disney online store (same one they are selling this year) with the wig as part of the hat. He LOVES it and is so cute in it. We're buying dd's Elizabeth Swann costume for Halloween but she keeps going back and forth on if she wants to be her in a fancy dress or dressed as a pirate. I'm leaning to as a pirate (which means dd will probably choose the dress ;) ). On our last trip to Disneyland I bought her and a bunch of her friends pink skull and crossbone earrings to wear with it. :)

FloatMyBOat: That will be a great pic!! Most of my street (we have 7 1st graders including my dd, who are all pretty much best buds) are all going as Pirates, including alot of the adults. Of course now my son who has been a pirate the past 2 years wants to be a ninja that night. One street a housing development over actually got together and recreated a scene from POTC (the jailhouse scene with the dog, key and begging pirates) and has lifesize animated pirates and everything including the houses across the street firing cannons at them and the talking skelton head saying dead men tell no tales. Its pretty cool! And the plan is (assuming they do it again this year) to head over there for a group Pirate pic. Dh did look at Pirate costumes the other day. He has no problem dressing up for Halloween, but I think seeing only that one family on the Wonder last time has him weary about doing it on the ship. I looked at some costumes for me, and now I think I'm leaning toward the Pirate tee and bandana idea myself. ;) I might try and dress it up a bit with a striped "piratish" skirt and maybe some funky tights (saw some cute skull ones) and my boots or something, but more then likely not (only because that requires time to find that stuff and lately I seem to have NO time).

going on our third disney cruise and our twins 1st CANT WAIT. We have 13 cabins booked but would love to meet more people.

Got my behind out of bed at 3:00 this morning to make our ressies only to find that our travel agent had not posted our payment  that was made over two weeks ago! :furious: , so I was unable to make our plans until this morning. Barely got dinner at Palo  - thank goodness, but was unable to book high tea or brunch. Just needed to rant as I have been holding onto it all day. Hope you don't mind! And then my TA acted like I was a fool to get up to do this. She actually knows nothing about this cruise line and keeps telling me "you can't do that" everytime I mention something we would like to do. Of course, it is all stuff we have gotten off of here, so I know it can be done, i.e. renting a car to drive to the port and drop it off and rent another when we get back, day rooms, etc. She was recommended by one of my husband's friends who used her, but she has been completely useless in every aspect for us.

On the other hand, my husband was laughing his head off this morning when I came to bed at 4:00 having a complete fit because I couldn't book our stuff! Needless to say, I could not go back to sleep I was soooooo mad! Just in case I can get a tea ressie, what day are the ladies getting together to enjoy this festivity?

Tomorrow is a new day!!!

P.S. Say a prayer that we get a cruise documents in a timely manner and I don't have to kick some booty to get them.

Frye: Ah, man, I know the feeling! on our first cruise I knew more than the TA. It was pathetic and fustrating :badpc: Keep an eye out for your documents they should arrive about 3 weeks before (or sometime sooner) the cruise.

Oh, get those big boots out of the closet so that you can kick some booty pirate:

I was also unable to book online for tea but will try to get the ressie on the ship. What day would be good to do the tea? maybe thur.? that will give everyone time to check out the ship and we can relax and chat on thur. early tea? just a thought!

thursday sounds good to me! i will try to get ressies for then too. Hopefully that will work for a bunch of us. see ya soon!!!
