December 2,2006...Anyone want to join us?

It's my first cruise too. I was able to get Palo reservations for Day 2. And the Cozumel excursion that I wanted (the beach) and the Grand Caymen excursion as well (the stingray adventure). The website was really slow, but I am happy to have made some plans.

I posted this earlier - but didn't hear back so am posting again! Sorry to be a pain! Has anyone done the Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel? What are your experiences?

We are in cabins 7108 and 7110
:wave2:

Frye7127: I am sorry to hear that your TA is so useless. Our first cruise we used DVC points so we went through Disney. This time we used Dreams. We have been lucky and had no problems at all, actually they have answered every question we have had and helped me add on the REAS package on.

There is a wealth of information here on the DIS, I know that We have learned so much here. :thumbsup2

Hi, sorry I have not done the Dophin Discovery but you might want to post that question on the Disney Cruise question board :thumbsup2 I am sure you will receive lots of good advice there...sounds like a fun excursion.

Also wanted to let you know I have never done the dolphin discovery. Sounds like fun though.

We did the Dolphin Discovery a couple of years ago in Cozamel and had a great time---of course that was before the hurricane. It was in one of their national parks and we had fun looking around before our turn started. We also had a snack at a little place overlooking the ocean. You learn a lot about dolphins but the actual interaction is limited to giving them a "kiss" and letting the dolphin "kiss" you. We were in the water while the dolphin did several tricks and it was neat to see him so upclose. The whole thing was filmed and you could buy the picture of the "kiss" and /or the video of the whole experience. My girls and I really enjoyed the excursion. Hope that helps! Teri

Thanks Teri, that helped! My kids are really the most excited about the Dolphins (on the island tours that is!).

goin' to Disney: I bet your kids will love it. We did the one in Naussau and it was the highlight of the trip for the kids. The picture they took (family pic w/ the dolphin "kissing" my son) was the best family pic we've ever had (everyone was smiling soo big). We even used it for our Xmas cards.

Frye7127: That is too bad your TA is not helping you at all. I'm glad you at least get dinner. Hopefully you'll be able to get brunch and tea onboard.

We've only done 2 Disney cruises, but on both of them, dolphins "escorted" us out of the causeway into the ocean swimming alongside the front of the ship. It was so cool to watch them!

Oh I so want to see that - dolphins swimming along side - oh what a dream come true that would be!!

only two months 5 days till I am on vacation for this WONDERFUL and MAGICAL time!!!

Cool...all we've ever seen is the Habor Patrol...and they weren't frolicking..... :confused3

Ooh thats cool. Hopefully that tradition will continue for you (so we can share in to of course ;)).

On our last DCL cruise we too were escorted out of the harbor by dolphins. Another passengar near us told us old shipping lore says a good and safe cruise will follow when escorted out by dolphins.

goin' to disney - two rooms 7108 and 7110. I am not sure what room we will be in, but one of them is ours and the other belongs to may parents. My daughter (13) has been corresponding with a couple of the other 13 year olds, but if there are any others that are looking to chat, just email us! :goofy: So, has anyone posted information on the door tags - shown what theirs look like or is it top secret? :confused3 We are working on ours.

There's also a family who posted on the teen board (bradboy6988) going on our cruise. That family includes DW, DH, DS17, DS16, DS14, DS14, DS12, DD9, and DD2. Also for Frye7127, the DD is 16 and the DS is 6. :) :) Hope everyone's plans are going well. I haven't actually made my door magnets yet, just have pictures lined up fpr them. Hope they actually turn out OK since I've never done any before!
Teri

I took the kids to Home Depot the other day to have them pick out their colors from the Mickey Mouse Paint chips. I felt a bit stealthy, but we got the samples out the door! We're going to start working on them soon.

Trolleygirl: A big THANK YOU :cheer2: for putting that list together! we will be in room 6556 (unless they change us with an upgrade :teeth: ) I have some of my signs made up and working on magnets. I also have about 5 room signs with my dd's crush Orlando Bloom...she is gonna faint when she see's those on our door :rotfl:

DD, Nicole is 14 and just got her own e-mail nicoleandorlando@yahoo.com if any other teens would like to correspond.

Have a great week everyone!
