December 15, 2012 A Yo-HO-HO-HO Holiday Fantasy!

Cruise website: I went to the cruise link and filled out the information. How do I know I completed it correctly and that we are part of the FE on the 12/15 cruise? I would like to work on my FE gifts as it is difficult to work in once school has started.

And a very Happy Monday Morning to one and all!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT day to start off the week.

I think we need to all get together this morning and sing Happy Birthday to Kevin, the President of the Worldwide Man Club. Today is his birthday, and we need to put our voices together and wish him a very Happy Birthday. So if I may, lets get our best singing voices together and lets sing Happy Birthday to Kevin. Ok, "Happy".................come on everyone sing...................."Happy Birthday to you"..................thats it ya'll are sounding GREAT................."Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Kevin, Happy Birthday to you!!!!" Everyone did wonderful!!! (Soneone was just a little flat....................what:confused3...............I don't.................oh, ok..................never mind everyone.................DW tells me it was me who was singing off key!!!) And I practiced so hard too!!!!:confused3
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN!!!!

Ahh, thanks David. You all sounded great to me.:thumbsup2

I think I will just reverse the numbers and then I am 25:cool1::cool1:

Kevin

I posted on Facebook that Man vs. Food did a show on Puerto Rico and went to a restaurant in San Juan. It sounded like some good stuff! I ended up in the hospital for two days for some tests and the channels were very limited!!! Thank goodness for Sprout, though or the girls would have driven me batty when they were there. NO Disney channels???!!!

All is clear, though with the tests. Discharged with no meds or orders so I'm happy about that!

Dale got to have a fun couple of days. Any time I go out of town I prep stuff for him to cook/feed the girls while I am gone but this was sudden so there wasn't any advanced planning!

Glad to see you are ok. We would do fine in our house as it is usally me who goes in.

:bday:KEVIN!!! Kinda getting up there, huh??? What are you, like 40 YEARS OLD NOW?!?!?:scared1:

It CERTAINLY wasn't ME who was flat David (by the way, I thought your pitch was GREAT!:thumbsup2) ... You can't sing and play the trumpet at the same time!;):rotfl2: (Hope I wasn't too loud on that trumpet fanfare for y'all!:rolleyes1

Ok - I started a cruise box! It's in my bedroom and the kids have been instructed to "stay out". ;) Somehow I plan on surprising them with this vacation. :scratchin Not sure how yet...any ideas?

Anyway...I've started buying and storing things in my cruise box. :cool1: Super excited!

We received our WDW tickets from UCT a couple days ago. I was worried, but they were super fast...and the tickets look real. :lmao:

Anyone else staying in WDW AFTER the cruise?

I like this idea of a dedicated box to put cruise things in. Nothing for a surpise, but just somewhere to keep everything.

We're doing a few days in WDW before heading to see family.

Thanks Tim, I practiced, and practiced, and practiced, and practiced, and practiced some more. Still I just about forgot the words.:confused3 That's a hard song to remember all those words too!!!

Hey, no Tim, you sounded GREAT on that trumpet. It was nice to have a horn backing us up and keeping everyone on track. Wish I knew how to play an instrument. Just not that talented. Guess I got to rely on the ol' singing voice!!! And, Donna says I can't carry a tune in a bucket!!!! Sound pretty good in the shower though!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hey Kevin, if that works.............reversing the numbers then I am 46!!!:cool1::banana: (That's me doing my Happy Dance!!!) And folks I got to tella, this guy:banana: looks good compared to my dancing!!! Our Granddaughter Emily, has already warned me that if I get up and dance she is running out of the room, far, far away from me!!! (Secretly guys, I have been practicing my Happy Dance, going to surprise her with it at some point in the cruise!!!):cool1::woohoo::woohoo:

Hey Trish, that is a good idea - a cruise box!!:thumbsup2 Wish I could keep a secret, but alas, I can't. We toyed with the idea of surprising Emily with this cruise. But because we had to get her father's ok for Emily to go, we had to tell everyone of our plans.

As far as revealing the surprise, you could leave hints around the house every now and then, about the up coming vacation. And with each hint make it a little easier for them to guess what it might be. I'm sure some others who have done this will have some good ideas you could use. :thumbsup2

Hmm.........Happy Dance. :banana::banana:

Idea, David.........How about all us World Wide MAN Club members practice it and we can all do it on the cruise in our speical cruise out fits. Can't forget those. What a sight that would be.:cool1::cool1::banana::banana::cool1::cool1:

What do you say Men?????

Your Prez, Kevin

Can you pass along the name of the limo company you use? We are staying at WDW a few days before the cruise and read that it'll be cheaper to get a car service to take us (3 adults, 2 kids) to the port vs DCL transportation. Just not sure of a reputable service that will take us all. :)

It is one my TA uses for her clients. I e-mailed her for the info and will post it when she gets it to me. I just realized I didn't know the name...which says something about the way I trust her!!! LOL! We are trying to cruise together again in 2014!!!

I'm sure`you will do just fine Amanda.:thumbsup2 I too (like everyone else on here it seems::yes::) went back to med school 4 years after earning my Bachelor's. The people in my class ranged all the way from 19 (think Doogie Howser ) to 51 years old (imagine, 4 years of med school, then 3-4 years of residency, he didn't start practicing until he was ALMOST 60! :scared:)

Thanks! When I went to be "advised" the other night, I was looking over my transcript and I definitely see a difference in the grades then vs. now! I didn't get an "A" in anything back then, quite the opposite. All the classes I have taken post-kids have been "A"s, even one of those I flubbed totally!

Amanda..............glad to hear you are ok!!! That sounds like it was quite the scare. I missed the show as well. Tried to find it................but must have missed it. Maybe it will be replayed some time soon.

I remember way back when our two were little and I had to fix the meals when Donna was gone. Thank goodness for PBJ's sandwiches!!!! (There weren't any microwaves back then................there weren't any stoves either.........just the open fire pit!!!):lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Glad to see you are ok. We would do fine in our house as it is usally me who goes in.

Kevin

Thanks! It was just totally bizarre. I haven't been in the hospital since birth and I had no idea what to expect. It was so hard having the girls leave and go home and to know that they cried and kept asking for me. Our youngest wouldn't have anything to do with me with the IV and heart monitor. It didn't help that they kept coming in to check my blood pressure and temperature. Thankfully by the time I got home it was all normal again!

Count me in Mr President. I got the sandles and white socks all set to go. Should I go with the tube white socks, or the athletic white socks. Which do you think would look best!!! I can't make up my mind.:confused3

I say plain white athletic socks ... if that's ok with everyone else. Now:scratchin ... just checkin' ... but I wanna make sure about the socks. I thought I saw somewhere the mention of argyle socks. I would go with the white (or black).

Otherwise ... Hawaiian shirt, plaid shorts, and sandles, right? When are we gonna wear this, the private Men's Club meeting?:confused3

Correct Tim and plain white athletic socks it is. Maybe on embarkation? That way we can find each other and do our happy dance :cool1::cool1::banana::banana::cool1::cool1: at sail away.

Thank you all for the lovely Happy Birthday song. I loved the trumpet Tim. It all sounded :listen: great to me.

Ok, I see where the Prez said we would wear athletic socks. I was going to suggest one athletic sock on one foot and a tube sock on the other. But both wearing athletic socks is good too!!!

Yeah Tim, we want to attract as many new members to the Worldwide Man Club as possible. So if we wear our "Members Only" outfits we are assured to get allot of publicity and I just know a whole slew of new members. Can't you see it now...............all of us Worldwide Man Club members wearing our "Special Outfits" at the sail away dancing our brains out:dance3:. We are sure to have our pictures up there on the big screen Jumbo Tron!!!! Wouldn't that be something!!!!:cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

Thanks Sarge for this very important information. I too, have witnessed this very same thing with the remote and couch cushions. I had blamed DW with stuffing the remote into the cushions trying to hide the remote from me. But now the truth comes out!!! And me and that ol' couch go way back..............many good memories.................good times, good times.................she cradled me when I fell asleep on her oh some many times...............she supported me during the losing days of my favorite sports team.................and thru the winning days as well.......................she caught food when I would drop it, and keep it from hitting the floor.............................and never once did she complain...........good times, good times!!!! I'll never trust that.....................couch again!!!!

Oh you lucky people you................doing a b2b on the Dream. DW and I did that last September, we had a GREAT time. I know you guys will too. We are planning on doing that again here some time in the future!!! I hope you got the same stateroom for both cruises. That way you won't have to pack your things between cruises. Congratulations on your upcoming b2b!!!

Thanks! We took an oversized 8A that has double oversized portholes and a dividing wall between the bedroom area and the living room area. I expect to pick up a stowaway or two between now and then:cloud9:

We have this one booked for the western. Don't know yet if we have it for the eastern. Will have to take some pics and give you a full report when we see you on board.

Kevin

PS 142 days to go, 142days to go................

luveeyore (Lee) is taking care of the FE lists. Might be a good idea to send her a PM here on the DIS. She isn't on every day, so you might not get a response right away. Don't know if there is a CUT OFF date for this...perhaps another FE participant can advise.
