December 15, 2012 A Yo-HO-HO-HO Holiday Fantasy!

:surfweb:Hi everyone. I've been quiet because I am working overtime and finding that getting the list together is quite a task but it is happening. My goal for lists with what I have so far is the end of next week.

The Facebook page is up and running and the chat is about plans and introductions to family members etc. If you want to be a part of the facebook page, please send me detailed information to find you ie FB name, city, work, what you picture has in it etc so I can find you. For more common names, searching through 300+ names is time consuming!!(anyone from the family with FB access is welcome. Since this is a closed group, this might be a way for older children and teens, college students to meet prior to going)

My understanding of the secret Mickey is that each family is assigned another family to give gifts to with a set amt for the total through the week, then we have a meet towards the end of the week to reveal who your secret Mickey was. The suggested amt for gifts for 1 family is a total of 25-30 us dollars. I will assign you a family to give 2+ gifts during the week. My suggestion for a Meet would be the last sea day or Thursday. Anyone have any other suggestions. (I have never done Secret Mickey so let me know what you think.)

The FE group is currently about 25. Some of you want to limit the number of families that participate. 25 is what some of you have suggested. Others want to do all. Please PM me with what your family wants. There will be no limit on this as to number of gifts, Price etc. You should reveal who you are. My suggested cut off date is October 15, 2012. This is two months before we leave. If others want to join after that date, we might could put them in a group of their own.

This is the collective information that I have so far. I will try to get the list in a form that can be put on the FB page and emailed to everyone.

Any helpful suggestions or comments. I am working the next two days so you may not hear from me until Monday.

Thanks for your patience!! :cool1::thumbsup2Back to the list:surfweb:No wait:laundy: needs to be put away and :cloud9:sweet dreams for me and hope you all have dreams filled with pixie dust.

I finally started sewing yesterday for the cruise we leave for in two weeks. I did one applique for a tshirt and it took over two hours! It is too cute, though. One to go. I also need to throw together a couple of A-line dresses. It isn't what I planned, but with so little time, twirly outfits aren't going to happen. I am taking a class when we get back on twirl skirts! Ruffles and gathers scare me!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

IN my best Dory voice..just keep sewing,sewing...

My thoughts on keeping the FE groups to 20 or 25 is to keep the quality of what I can give up, on other cruises we had a total of I think 4 groups with 20-25 families in each one. BUT I am happy with anything the group decides:goodvibes Secret Mickey sounds great to me and a lot of fun and your plan sounds practically perfect in every way! THANK YOU FOR WORKING SO HARD ON THIS FOR US!!!

REMINDER:

IF you are interested in participating in the Holiday Recipe exchange please send me your favorite recipe and picture if you have one, I will gather all of these together to create a Dis'er Holiday Cookbook and I will give it out on the cruise!! You can pm me or email me at Heavenbound@tampabay.rr.com

:cool1::cool1::dance3::dance3::cool1::cool1:

DD is also putting together a flashmob dance for us to perform. She will post the dance to youtube so everyone can learn. Please let me know, if you haven't already done so that you are interested so I can be sure to pm you the link when she is finished with it.

:goodvibes

For the NW Mom and Dad family, I think we can do Secret Mickey.

With post cruise family Christmas in Florida, my suitcases will already be full so I think the FE might be too much this time. Then again maybe we can just ship a box, Hmm. (I 'll make us a maybe at this point and give a final answer by mid August.)

I might have time in the fall, but for now I think my next three months are going to be very busy-- will explain why when everything is confirmed in the next few weeks. popcorn::

DD10 knows of our fascination with watching the horn battles.

DD10 knows we have a music book with Disney songs in it.

DD10 plays the piano and is learning the baritone.

DD10 had a horn battle in the living room :woohoo:

I've been working a bunch. I sent a PM regarding the Facebook page. I'm looking forward to our FE exchange.
I'm so excited for our cruise :goodvibes

Yesterday, I came into the house from my weekly yard work, to get a drink of water. DW was standing next to the toaster and she was trying to push the lever down to toast the bread in the toaster. Now the toaster made this loud noise..............DW said "ut oh"...........looked around and saw me come in the house. She said, "What do you want!!" Then she gave me a strange look and walked away. I was..............was............speechless. She didn't do anything with the bread.................I think it was just a decoy anyways.................but she just walked away. Very strange.................Skye did you try to send out a message...................if so I don't think Donna got it. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh......why don't you try to resend it now. She's not home.............but I will give her the message...................no seriously...........I will..................I am the official message taker here in our house hold. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............I think she misplaced her decoder............so if you could just send it uncoded.......that would be great!!! Glad to help!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks for your concern, but um, Donna got her message. She let me know as you walked in.

But good try.

I'm working on it. Most of it is done, I just have one dress left and then stitching the appliques onto tshirts. I LOVE doing outfits for the girls, but hate leaving them to the last minute like I have this time. We leave in ten days and NOTHING is packed yet!

T.A.P (Tactical Appliance Protocol) You must treat all appliances like the enemy that are... :badpc: They all talk to each other. From what I have gathered, the microwave sends out encoded waves that only other appliances can decipher. The only way to break the code and apply the TAP is to disable the power core. But you have to very careful as not to be near the hairdryer. ;) Step 1 for TAP: gather wood.... I am being watched....:confused3 :furious: more steps for TAP to come later....
