Do you remember what street you lived on in Ashland when you went to RMC? I grew up here and ended up moving to Ashland to raise my kids.

lived on campus 3 out of the 4 years. Lived at Ashland Town Square for my senior year...NO CLUE the address tho

Let me guess you worked at Capital One?

You would think, right? Actually I was there BEFORE Capital One opened up there! I used to work at the Psychiatric Institute of Richmond & at CUC Travel (this then changed to Cendant & moved to Broad Street).

I live now 20 minutes from WDW, but went to HS in Northern VA (Burke, Fairfax County), college in Ashland (Randolph-Macon) & lived in the West End of Richmond for years (worked in Innsbrook & Goochland). Too funny meeting people from my old stomping grounds

Funny . . . I live in Goochland now - used to live off Pemberton Road in the West End. My DH worked at Cap1 for YEARS!!

I'm impressed you lived to tell about it living in Ashland Town Square apartments. Scary place. I grew up on Caroline St (same street as the college). My mom still lives there. My best friend's dad (who lived right across the street) taught math at RMC. Dr. Moore. When we were little we would go in Copley all the time (where his office was) and take our change and go to the snack machine. Not sure why we thought that was so exciting. I also learned how to roller skate behind Copley on the handicap ramp.

Super small world with all of us VA peeps!!

You guys (yes, the guys ) have had me laughing out loud (literally)!

My BF Jackie (ibouncetoo) has been chit-chatting with me about this cruise & since I won't be doing DCL's Med with Greece cruise in 2013, she thought it would be a good idea to join her on this one! (isn't she the bestest?)

I know some people already (Charlotte/John, Lisa/Darrell) and am looking forward to meeting the others.

This will either be my last cruise as a Gold or the 1st cruise as a Platinum (depending on whether or not I want to do a short 3 day-er for my birthday in November).

HEY...you beat me to it! I've called DCL and had your name put on the reservation and then faxed the travel agent Authorization Form...so now, since you'll get commission I don't have to share my OBC with you, right?

Now the question is, do we drop an extra $250ish to upgrade to a verandah, of just save that for DOD's?

it WAS scary while I was there, but I heard it got worse!!

While watching the latest episode of "Moonshiners" on TV the other night i thought i should probably start training for our cruise. Is anybody else in training for the cruise and if so how?

You know Dale, I was going to say you made a good point there, about where did all of the ladies go??? I too felt like we "Manly Men" were taking over the thread here. Then I get on here this morning and lo-and-behold they take over just like we were never here!!! But I guess we should share with them. I guess we should get back to discussing the cruise.
I too am training.................well I guess you couldn't really call it training........for the cruise. If you look back a few pages you will see my post about the TORTURE MACHINE I do about 5 days a week. Not only dr's orders, to keep the ol' weight down, and to keep the ol' ticker in good shape. But also DW's orders...............she threatened me BIG TIME!!!! I mean I can't write about it...................I can't think about it....................it gives me the shivers every time I do!!! She's small.............but she packs a quite a punch!!!

I work out on what the industry calls an Elliptical Machine. Better known on here - by me - as the TORTURE MACHINE!!! It's a man killer I tell you and man killer!!! You get off this stupid peace of Torture - shear Torture - wishing you never would have seen it in the first place. You are sick to your stomach - you are sweating like a greased pig at the state fair - you don't feel like you can do anything for the next 2 or 3 hours but sleep. (Sorry I had to be so graphic here ladies, I had to give Dale a full picture of the shear Torture of this machine.) Keep lifting those glass 16oz weights Dale - you too can be in as good shape as all of the rest of us.
Oh my DW doesn't have to tell me how high to jump - she just gives me THAT look. You know the one I'm talking about. Yes that one!!! After i get that look, I go a hopping, skipping and jumping wherever she wants me too.

That torture machine. The ELLIPTICAL . I tried that twice and realized it was not for me, or me for it. Whichever. We were not a match made in heaven (like DW and i) more like HELL!!. It really stinks when work inter fears with the disboards. I hear there is a super secret group called the "Hen Party"? Are they an offshoot of the Democratic or Republican parties? Kevin is happily sleeping next to me. We both just hung up our super parents capes again.
We've had a pretty busy/rough week with our ds18 (special needs kiddo). I've had to do major putting out of fires for his facilty as they gave him notice of what they needed me to do, but did not remember to tell me about some things only I could do.

The old "Lack of planning on your part is not an emergency on my part!" I don't jump when they tell me to, but I did get what needed to be done while forcing(convincing) a non cooperative "adult" he wanted to help me save his housing. Got him to do a few other tasks they could not persuade him to do either.

And still managed to get in a couples party, dinner at a friends, plus two meetings at the school this week.

We ladies went to go do our cleaning and then the laundry sorting.
Me, personally, I was checking the pockets before doing the laundry. You can find all kind of things in there, or under the sofa cushions. You never know what gets left out

We're trying for BLT studio as I used all our points on the cruise, need to pay for 1 night.

We are doing BLT in a 1bd lake view for 6 days post cruise. Just booked it a week ago. Used all our points. But hey, why not, after all we will be all the way to Florida from California so might was well do WDW!
