December 15, 2012 A Yo-HO-HO-HO Holiday Fantasy!

thanks anyways david -- i think we are gonna just pass this time but who knows on the next one. :) have a great day!

Hi everyone. I am awake, and alive. Just a few personal bumps in the road. I hope to get all pm's caught up and get all the assignments made and list updated today and tomorrow before I go back to work Friday.

So what has been up...mandatory overtime both scheduled and unscheduled. Also my family could use prayers. My brother had been diagnosed with a brain tumor or rather 2 brain tumors. Hopefully after the appts this week, we will know what a plan of care will be.

Well time to work on the to do list.
Lee

Lee, I would like to let you know that you and your family are in our prayers too. Family comes first...............like Kevin said, don't worry about the lists.

David and Kevin,
I have a really upset, hungry lost brother in Charlottesville all because he didnt want me to go with him. He was told they would do another MRI, get tomorrow's test and then he would see the other neurosurgeon. I used to live and work not far from UVa. His tumor is one that lots of time they do nothing with until they begin to grow. So more waiting.
He is having 5+ hours worth of tests at the opthomologist's office at UVa tomorrow.

Lee, I'm praying for you and your family as well. I hope only good things for your brother. Lots of pixie dust and magical wishes for you and your family.

Just curious what a dummy date is? What's the benefit of doing something like this? Our first Disney Cruise is 12/8/12 on the Fantasy..,,can't wait!!!

hcjgirls - i was asking about a dummy cruise as well and haven't gotten an answer so we are in the same boat, so to speak. as for pins, yes people bring pins onboard and yes, they trade and show off. i brought about 5 pins last time and will probably bring 5 more this time just to get some trading in and get some fresh pins into my collection. i'm a little on the shy side so i dont usually 'show off' that much. :) happy cruising

Good Morning Everyone!

We will officially be joining you on this cruise. It will be me, Tara, DH Mike, DD Sienna- who turns 7 on 12/15 and DS Chase who will be 5 next month.

I saw the FE cut off as October 1st so if that is still true, we would like to join in.

I also signed in on your cruise web page on page one, if there is anything else going on let me know, as I only skimmed some of this thread.

Thanks for your help and we are looking forward to this awesome cruise.

We would like to shout out a big old HOWDY!!! and :welcome: to your family from ours.

The ladies are meeting by themselves, (Pink Champagne Ladies) ... and the guys are meeting by themselves too, (WorldWide Men's Club)!

so here's an opinion question ..... is Palo/Remy worth it? My husband isn't necessarily a finicky eater but he's rather particular and doesn't like too many different kinds of foods. his choice would be Palo but my choice would be Remy. Since we can't agree, we are opting out on the special adult dining for this cruise.

Should I revisit the decision? :scratchin :confused3

I haven't been to Remy but we will go this time for dinner once. Palo however we have been to and we love the brunch. They serve Pizza and Pasta and bfast items at Brunch so it really isn't a bunch of "different kids of food". You should book Palo Brunch for sure!!!pixiedust:

Hello new (to us) cruisers and welcome to the board/ship :cheer2: happy belated birthday David you look mahvelous for 29 :) and Lee prayers and positive thoughts. :grouphug:
A dummy date is when you're on the cruise (and you rebook on board) You pick a date to cruise but may or may not cruise on that date. Perhaps you're waiting for the next years lineup and you'll move the date you chose to the later date. That is the dummy date/cruise. pirate:

A dummy date cruise is like what DisneyDee explained. During your cruise you book another cruise on board the ship. You are taking advantage of Disney's 10% discount for this rebooked cruise and also your deposit is 50% reduced as well. You can keep this date and sail at that time or move it to another date for a cruise you think you would like. Allot take advantage of the discounts Disney offers to book another cruise while on board, with the intention of moving it to another date later, hince the name Dummy Date. Hope this helps!:thumbsup2 We have one already planned as you can see below for December 2013, we plan on moving that to one in 2014 when those dates are announced by Disney. But, during this cruise I am going to book yet another dummy date to take advantage of the discounts. Woo Hoo!!!!

T-79 days till operation EOTW (end of the world) cruise sails away. By now, most of you have secured the coveted Palo/ Remy reservations and cabin assignments. If not, the enemy (those not part of this thread) will capture these slots and block you out. This will not happen on my watch.. (but I can not help you so you are on your own anyway, sorry)... We will stand together and fight... Just leave the actually weapons home, Port Security frowns upon that, and why do you need them anyway when you have the ultimate weapon... Turkey Legs.... After you get through eating one of them, you are too tired to fight so why bother...:rotfl:

I have to give a big shout out to Lee, its a big FE list and with everything she is going through, I think she will need this cruise.

For the group (us included) that are just going to head off on our own in San Juan, we should try to PM each other.

Happy Disney Thoughts...

A dummy cruise is one that you book on board to get the discounts and pick the cheapest farthest out cruise, lowest deposit. Then keep moving the ressie until there is a cruise you would like to take.

For pin trading they will post times in the Navigator for when there will be a crew/group trading time by the gift shops although you can trade at anytime with anyone.

Good to hear from you Sarge,

We are getting fully out fitted and ready to roll. Copy that on the turkey legs, I even like them better than the Micky bars and both are free!!!!!!.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the prayers for my family especially my brother. He had a battery of vision tests this morning and is seeing the neuro opthamologist today.
You are right...I am going to be needing this cruise!! Mandatory overtime, all my eval stuff is due this weekend...I havent even started good. Hopefully I will get the list updated and assignments done before I go to bed.

Remember Oct 1 to let me know about FE and SM...Hard date is Oct 15!!!

When you get your room assignments, let me know. I will put at the bottom of the newest list my gmail acct and cell # so you can text me even at port with room numbers. I think Skye was going to work on a meet for Saturday pm...I will have the updates available there as well.

Have a great week...79 days to go...

Our family will be sailing on the December 15th Fantasy cruise.

We would like to schedule a dinner at Palo one night. Can anyone tell me what nights the MDR has formal and semi-formal nights? What night is the pirate party? And lastly, is there any way to know when we would be scheduled at AP for dinner---I would not want to miss the second night at AP.

Thanks for any help!!

I mentioned a long while ago that I was willing to, but I also think someone else did as well. Don't want to step on anyone's toes . . .
just as long as one of us plans it.

With us being on the ship the week before- it might be a good idea for someone else that has internet that week to take charge.
Skye

Dont worry we have already booked Palo and Remy. And dont forget those spa treatments. We are so ready for this cruise! Gotta get away from the cold!!
