She said she was picking up stuff for there fish extender exchange too. Small world. I told her to take good care of the Magic for us. Lucky her, she gets to sail on the Magic right after dry dock. She is a Diser too!

How funny! It really is a small world. After I started DIS-ing I started noticing all of the green mickey heads, etc at Disneyland and I can't believe how many of us there really are out there! *Makes me feel a little better about my obsession!!)

I just wanted everyone to know that I may be mia for awhile. We have some serious things going on with DH, ...
out of curiousity how many of you are planning to go "formal" as in gowns and tuxes?

Lucinda, our prayers are with you and try to stay positive. You're right the internet is not a good place to land when you are in limbo. Please don't get yourself down with details that haven't been confirmed. We have been through this several times with our son (the "maybe it's.." then I go crazy on the internet) and it really caused more worry than good.

About the tuxes-we are going full tuxes & formals. It doesn't happen very often around our house so we are going big! I'm torn between the ease of ordering with cruise line wear or one of those companies and bringing a tux with us. It's more expensive to do the service on board but way less hassle!

Ooo.... I missed out on the discussion about formal wear on the cruise...
We have done the suit and cocktail dress thing in the past, but DH owns a couple tuxes (musician ), it might be fun to have him in the monkey suit for a night.
DS had a tux (back when he was 4 yrs old!!) for our last 7 nighter, obviously we'd have to come up with something for him...
Hey-- anyone need a tux for a 4 year old? It is burgundy.
DD has a cocktail length dress too... black and white.
I can't imagine wearing a full length gown! I never have... 'cept for my wedding dress! Just wearing a dress is FANCY for us here!

I had asked him for it also and I am pretty sure he is not going to share with us so I searched on my own and found Howie's Funhouse font which matches very closely. If you google "Howie's Funhouse" you should be able to find it to download. If not, I'll PM you the link.

I've been using the Arial Rounded MT Bold, it seems to work pretty good also.

This a modified Tom's name tag. (must give credit where credit is due).

Well I finally finished our FE with the exception of a few iron ons. I decided to flip it over and do the Pirate theme on the other side to cover up some of my bad stitching. This is an idea I got from one of the FE discussions. I thought it was a good idea.

Very Nice! I LOVE the 2 sided idea, now i'm gonna have to go back and add pirate pockets on the other side!

Hey, Isn't Lucinda into Nascar also? I'm making an FE for her and found the perfect print but I couldn't find the posts where you were talkingto her about Nascar so now I'm not so sure (she's MIA for now or I'd ask her...)

hi and thanks everyone. We had a busy couple of days, and then Caseys work laid off all but 3 ppl on Friday, he drives for a warehouse that delivers to the RV and Modular industry and you all know that is in the tank.So I am doing my best to make lemonade I tell ya!

Does anyone live near a hobby lobby store? I want some fabric to make shirts for DS &DH that I can't find anywhere. Someone told meto check hobby lobby, but just my luck there isn't one around us.

Thanks I'll have to look it up. I stopped checking that thread after a while because I figured out he wasn't going to give it up. If I can't track it down I'll let you know.

I'm not sure exactly what I am going to do with it though. I like the idea of T-shirts, but DW is nervous about broadcasting our kids names to everyone (and I don't blame her I guess).

Lucinda, Boy when it rains it pours! Keep your chin up and think positive. You are right when you said, "God NEVER gives us more then we can handle."

Just think before loing you will be on the amazingly beautiful ship and you can put away the everyday worries...At least for 7 days!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family....I know DH had a friend who was driving for a company out of Pa. and they laid off almost everyone there too.

For our last cruise DW made matching dresses for the girls and a Hawaiian style shirt for me of the same material. She did a very good job, and in fact I now wear the shirt more than any other on my closet. She still has a list of projects for this cruise but is currently engrossed in the Twilight series if any of you have heard of it.

YESSSS!!! My DD11 and I recently made our way through all 4 books of the Twilight series in a matter of 3 weeks! She is in love with Edward... or at least as much as she was "in love" with Aladdin back when she was 5 yrs old! Fictional characters and all!
We definitely enjoyed the books, can't wait for the movie. Everything else was on hold while we read them!

I have to say, you all have way passed me up in the creativity department. I will try to make an FE... I can sew a bit ... when my 40 year old machine is cooperating, but past that, we may be the ones with just a couple mickey ear paint chips from Home Depot on our door!
