December 12-19, 2015 Western Caribbean

Hi Everyone! We are so excited to be crusing with you all this year! This will be our first Disney cruise and will have almost 3yo twins in tow. Any and all advice is welcome

We have 8 year old twins and a 5 year old. We have done lots of traveling with them :) Welcome!

Hi we are from Ohio and booked our cruise yesterday!! This is our 3rd cruise!! We want to do the FE this time!! Our daughter will turn 18 the day we are at castaway cay!! And we have a 12 yr old daughter. Let us know who starts the FE!!:tink:

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has posted recently about a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

Hello! I've not booked yet! Trying to decide between this cruise and the Parks in November! We did an Eastern last November on the Magic-It was Merry cruise-1st of the season and we loved it! Hubby says I can't do both Parks and cruise....boo! This cruise doesn't seem to be really booked up which is something I like...LOL.

I saw a couple of questions on here that I wanted to answer.

1) The Spa: My husband and I always purchase the spa pass for the entire week. The price isn't bad when you break it down for each day, and it is definitely worth it just for the heated tile loungers. We have also had several different treatments, some of our favorites include the hot stone massage, 5 steps to heaven, and pamper package. You can check out the prices of many of the treatments on the Disney Cruise website. They can be pricey, but the spa has embarkation day specials, as well as various specials each day so you should keep an eye out for these if you are interested in any of them.
2) Movie premieres: If a Disney movie premieres during the cruise then they always do a midnight showing as well as various repeat screenings the next day. This includes 3D screenings (if available). So as long as the premier date doesn't change we will get to see Star Wars (yay!!!).
3) Palo and Remy: It is definitely worth the experience to eat at least once at one of these restaurants. The food and atmosphere are amazing! However, I do have the following suggestions: Make sure you do not miss your second dining night in Animator's Palate, you do not want to miss the animation show; If you do not want to miss any of the nights dining in the main dining rooms Palo does offer a brunch that you can sign up for instead; If you just want to see what these restaurants look like, but not eat at them, you can do one of the Art of the Theme Show tours (this tour includes looks at both restaurants, I would also just recommend this tour in general as it provides you with a look at some things you might not see otherwise as well as some really fun information about the ship).

This is our fourth Disney cruise, and I am already ridiculously excited about it! Only 148 days to go!

This will be our first cruise. Boarding day is my husband's birthday, then our baby will turn one on the following Tuesday and my oldest will turn 6 on Thursday.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for birthday celebrations? (Both birthday kids are boys and I have another 3yo boy also)

I read you can purchase gift packages that are left in the stateroom.

I have a couple of different ideas/suggestions for you:
1) In your reservation you can note any celebrations that you are having and one night during the cruise your dining staff will bring out a special dessert and sing to you (if you have multiple celebrations then they will do this on multiple nights). You may want to verify with the head dining manager that they are aware of all of your celebrations the first night of the cruise just to make sure no one gets missed.
2) There are a couple different birthday options that you can order from the onboard gifts and amenities. You can order a cake delivered directly to your stateroom or dining room. The cost is $25+ depending on how big the cake is. You can also purchase a Birthday Theme cabin decoration package. If you order this they will have your stateroom decked out before you even board the ship. This costs about $45. http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/gifts-and-amenities/
3) For your husband I would recommend a dinner at either Palo or Remy. You can drop the kids off at the Small World Nursery (baby) and the Oceaneer's Club (older boys) and have a nice night with just the two of you.
4) For the 1 year old and 6 year old, ask at guest services the morning of his birthday and they will give them a pin to wear all day. Crew are trained to watch for those pins and will wish them Happy Birthday all day long (you could also do this for your husband, but I'm not sure how much he would appreciate it).

Hope that helps!
