We love the bell....that being said, one year when I was young I worked in a mall and we took up a collection at the nearby stores and paid them not to ring fore two hours .LOL
Oops I might be off topic so I better post a guess where picture.

Awesome. At least I wasn't completely off base. I knew I'd seen it. I had a vision of being on Deck 3 and looking up. But I forgot about the frieze around the atrium balcony level, so I was pushing it out to one of the desks on either side. Cool pictures! I've seen it but never in the level of detail as you posted. I'll have to pay more attention this time!

so here's one more opinion.

Unless it will cause a financial hardship...or keep you from taking vacation time from your job sometime in the future, I think you should go.

By 22 you're old enough to handle a trip by yourself. And since you've done so many cruises, it should be easy enough. This cruise would give you some time to think and relax. Wow, I'd really enjoy some quiet time for New Year's Resolutions, reading, and independent activities. YES, you will be out of your comfort zone and that part will stretch you in new ways and help mature you. The one thing that I would consider is making sure I was either with another single, a family, or a Disney sponsored excursion on port days (with the exception of Key West).

with the buffet on deck 9, the fast food areas, palo and room service you shouldn't even have to eat with others if it makes you uncomfortable. I would want to give the first evening meal a chance...who knows you may very much like your table-mates.

you are so close to high-penalty phase with the cruise fare, that I think I'd just go for it.

All that said, I don't think this is a win/loose situation. I think either choice could be a good one. You can stay at home or be on a Disney cruise.:cool1:

Thanks i think im definitely going to go. And thats the same exact thing i said to my mom about the dining. Id go the 1st night and see how everything goes if i feel uncomfortable then i can always go to those places. Also i think of everything that i do by myself while im there even with others. And i was just all those places in october so i wasnt even going to get off the ship thats when i just go and enjoy the ship Really get some r&r in before things get worse here and ill be able to deal with a clear mind..Yeah id definitely pick disney cruise any day.

My DS is 28 and single traveling with us. I'm sure he would like someone else to talk to other than his parents and his married sister and her husband. You should be fine. Hope you decide to join us. You are also welcome to join our family my daughter is 25 and traveling with her husband and baby. Myself and my husband and our oldest son. We are doing the island tour in Grand Cayman, DS is cave snorkeling in cozumel. Daugher and husband are going hiking and we are taking the baby for a stroll in Cozumel. Key West will just be wandering around seeing the sights. Oh and checking out Sloppy Joes.

I also have a Tea, Brunch and Dinner scheduled at Palo. since we are an odd sized party it should be no problem adding one more.
Let me know you can PM or email and I will get you my phone number. We are arriving on Wednesday night.

Awwww thanks thats so sweet of you. Ill definitely let you know my plans. and everything when i figure things out.

Hey. I just wanted to say thank you for all the encouragement. I will go over everything tomorrow But now im about 99% sure that im going to go.. Most likely flying in on saturday and flying out saturday as much as i dont want to do that :sad2: I have to do what i have to do. It will be weird since i never do that we always usually fly out the day before and fly back at least 2 days after the cruise. Cant just leave right after but like i said i have to do what i have to do. And with everything going on here who knows when ill be able to travel again.

I need little pixie dust sent my way, I see my oncologist tomorrow! Hopefully she will approve of my “get away” and clear me from the post surgical status!! Hey, as long as she approves me to able to submerge in water again, I’m happy!! :goodvibes

Well, shoulda started this six weeks ago! I broke out the new snorkeling gear and tried to get my DD, almost 4, to try it in the bath tub. Screaming fits ensued, with me getting ever more frustrated. She said she couldn't breathe out of her nose. I told her that she's not SUPPOSED to breathe out of her nose. Round and round.

Tonite, I put on my mask and snorkel so I could stick my head in the bathtub and show her. Low and behold, I couldn't breathe through my nose, and it was a very uncomfortable, panicky feeling! :rotfl2: Sorry, DD! I haven't snorkeled in almost fifteen years, didn't remember it being quite so weird to master.

So, now we're practicing breathing with the snorkel with the mask off first. We're going to cough up some money to gain access to an indoor pool this weekend (probably a local hotel) to practice with vests. Hope it works, I REALLY want to snorkel! :scared:

Meanwhile, the clip that holds my snorkel to my mask broke first thing tonite, so it's a good thing we're giving our equipment a dry run, or a wet run, as it were. ;)

And, if that weren't scary enough, DD started having accidents a few weeks ago, after months of perfect potty performance. :sad2: I read all the potty training re. kid's club threads, and I feel a lot better. There were lots of suggestions on how to help your child avoid accidents, and most people said you get one "freebie" before they boot you out. Still, the thought of no kids club at all.... :scared1: I want at least one peaceful hour at the grown-ups' pool!

Bought two nice, new novels today, less than two weeks left! We're missing ALL the parties, cub scouts, dance, DS school, DD school, and to my surprise, I don't mind and neither do they. In Cub Scouts tonight, they announced the party plans, and DS raises his hand promptly and shouts out happily, "I can't be there!" :rotfl2: Maybe it will be an extra bonus to skip all that "small stuff" this year and just enjoy the season.

Rambling.... sorry.... :rolleyes1 But, ...... :cloud9:

About the bell ringers .. I live in an area that sees more people in need than people who are able or willing to give their time or money. I admire our local bell ringers because they are volunteering to do a job that few are willing to do. It's really sad. Last night our local news ran a clip about the desperate needs of our local Salvation Army. Today I dropped off a car load of groceries .. but I'm not willing to stand in the cold and ring a bell. So, my hat goes off to them. Today they were out in the sleet .. and I was home with a roaring fireplace, counting the minutes until I leave for the Caribbean. Oh, and my daughter loves sticking money in the red bucket. I seriously don't get the appeal. Anyway, hopefully the needs of the community will somehow be met.

One thing we have always done with our kids when they were too young to snorkel was take them out with us and they just float along. When they were babies we put them in one of those sit in floats with life jackets on, last year my five year old decided he didn't want to snorkel in Grand Cayman, so I piggybacked him around with his life jacket on. He had his snorkel and mask, but wouldn't stick his face in even...

One thing my friend's family did in Hawaii was bought a boogie board with a viewer in it for their 2 year old. You can get the blow up ones as well..

Good luck... and don't worry too much! :)

Woo.. got all my under 18 FE gifts bagged and labelled... the adult ones don't need bags or labels, but I do have to finish one of them today at school.

Got a call from the concierge at the Poly yesterday to confirm everything I guess... was a message ( I was out). I guess I have to confirm my arrival time with them...

Printed off a few sheets of magnets for the door and cut out about 4 before my hand was hurting... will finish those off tonight.

Sunday afternoon is slotted to begin packing.

Christmas shopping is mostly done...

Have been having travel dreams :) Only 6 more days of teaching! woo it will go by quickly

Funny...our local news had a similar story run last night. You don't live in PA, do you?

Thanks for the great suggestions! I have a tendency to think in all or nothing terms; these are great options. I think I will bring the inflatable viewer (already have one), and the ride along will probably work for both.

Just to the right of Guest services?

Close. Right deck, wrong desk. Its to the right of the Excursion desk on deck 3. Right by the doors you exit the ship through.

This was a fun shot, because Minnie was just coming out, and I saw her all by herself and took the picture.
