Unlike the parks the ship has only so many passengers. While some of the pool areas can get quite crowded. There is plenty of room to move about and have a great time without being too crowded. Deck 10 is never as crowded as Deck 9 and offers some spectacular ocean views. I'm partial to watching the sun set. Deck 4 has some quite places to. You can sit in a chair and just listen to the ocean. I look forward to meeting everyone in December. Don't forget if you are interested in the fish extender gift exchange to get me your information by mid November so I can get the list ready. I have already purchased our gifts and can't wait. See everyone soon.

What is the fish extender program?

Looks like a mail holder. It hangs from the "fish" hook by the door. People paticipating put gifts in it. On our last trip our grandson could not wait to see what was waiting for us. You can look one up on ebay for a picture. I have a list I am sending out on Saturday. I was hoping to have everyones room numbers by then. Let me know if you are interested.

I am traveling with 4 kids - aged 1, 3, 9, and 13, so they will be in each of the clubs. and boyfriend and brother too.

my name is Niki and im from London, I cant wait to visit the USA, and to be going on this cruise is a dream come true and not something we expected. we hadnt even heard of disney cruiseline but now we cant wait!

Just booked 12/11 today - our first cruise! Our group will be myself, DH, DD14, DD11 (birthday onboard), DS8 and DS6.

The kids are excited, just getting a little concerned about not knowing anyone in their respecive clubs, especially the teen. Don't know how much time they will have there on a 3 nighter!

Lots of homework to do with only a few weeks to go!

I'm also hoping my kids make friends in the clubs, this is our first cruise also, myself, DH, DS15 and DS12. I have heard that the best thing is for them to go to the club the first night when the councelers are introducing themselves and telling the kids about everything they will be doing. The time is almost here! The countdown on my DD's calendar says that there are 25 days to go! I can't wait to meet everyone!

I just wanted to encourage people to sign up for the Fish Extender Exchange. Since this is my first cruise I am anxious to get the full experience, and the FE exchange just sounds like tons of fun.

A Fish Extender is a wall organizer that you hang from the metal fish that is outside your cabin door. Everyone who signs up for the exchange brings little gifts (things from your hometown or trinkets from the dollar store) and then you go around to the rooms and put the gifts in the pockets of the organizer.

But we can't do this if people don't sign up! As of right now it is Disneyfan19712006 and my family!

If you are interested, please Private Message disneyfan19712006 with the cabin number and the ages of the people in the cabin (we ask for the ages so gifts can age suitable for younger kids)

If you are new to the DISboards (like I was a few months ago!) and can not PM yet, just post a message on the meet board saying you are interested. Please don't post your private info (room number) on the board where everyone can read.

Once again, I can't wait to meet everone!

Is there anything from England that you cant get in America?
how many gifts should I pack?
what type of gifts do you bring?
and I dont know where I can get magnetic paper, I dont know if we have it in england, would a fridge magnet work? Im bringing a mini xmas tree in my luggage, and have ordered tons of stateroom gifts so I am not sure if doing this exchange thing is going over the top!

From what I understand you can give out little trinkets from where you live, or stickers, pens and pencils, candy or other little gifts.
I for one would love a post card or two from England.

I thought about buying magnet paper, but it is really expensive. I did print out my pictures and are going to have them laminated and then put magnet tape on the back of them.

I don't know if this means anything, but on the Disney Cruise website there is still a heck of a deal for Florida Residents for the date of our cruise -- this sort of implies that Disney is trying to fill up rooms, I would think. Here is hoping that you get a nice upgrade when you do finally get your room assignment!
