THAT's an understatement! I've read your plan!

 lol - Yes, I'm quite an understated person. I'm sure you've gathered by now that I'm quiet, reserved, a wallflower, shy and easily scared.... NOT. lol

Is it Sat yet? I feel like Sam, Are we there yet? Are we there Yet?

Hurry Sat and then the time can slow WAY down for the next seven days after that. LOL

Thanks V-Man!!!!!!!

Still trying to get everything packed and not have an enormous amount of suitcases. I hate taking more than 4, but it's getting tight!

As I sit here typing it is in the 20's outside and snowing!!!! I really want out of here and in the nice warm sun!

Hope everyone is almost done with the packing. I am so excited to meet everyone!

JWANN - got your letter today. I'll have the boys email back because it won't make it to you in time by snail mail.

Can anyone help me find a way to WANT to work this week? It is crazy, I feel like doing NOTHING. Anyone else in the same boat?

How does everyone want to decide what night should be movie night? Any suggestions. I think that it would be cool if a lot of us can go, then not only will it be deck 2 for the boards it would be a ton of of at a movie night. LOL.

The morning went by quickly, now the afternoon is dragging. Thankfully I won't be in the office tomorrow. I'll be on the road. It will break my week up. Office Wed and on the road again Thurs. Fri affice then by boss is letting me leave at 2:00p. Help my mom with any last min packing or whatever.

How about an update, What excursions is everyone doing? We are doing the Butterfly Farm and then the Paradise Tram.

We read that if we can't dock at the island then we will have to take a taxi to the Paradise Tram instead of walking. Has anyone been to that island before and have that happen?

By the way is anyone bringing an iron? Or does everyone usually make out okay without one or use the laundryroom one while on board? Just wondering if we could make the room and if it would be necessary!

Thanks,

Jen :flower1:

We tendered in St. Thomas (didn't dock) last year and it really wasn't too bad. It is a taxi ride to the tram but the tender boat drops you off right in downtown Charlotte Amalie so you don't need to take a taxi from the ship to town.

From what I remember, DCL doesn't allow passengers to use irons in their rooms. Of course there's the whole "how would they know" question, but that's another issue. There are irons available for use in all of the laundry rooms. We unpacked right away and took anything that needed ironing to the laundry room Sat afternoon and were done for the cruise.

OK - I'm officially panicking now - less than 2 days!!!

Jwann-Thank for posting the questions. We are going to have a great time playing. You have your running shoes on as don't forget you and I are racing to the terminal<VBG>. :cool1:

Verandah Man-A live picture is more than I asked for.Thank you so much!I hope you have a great time with your Mom and family.I am getting the internet onboard,so I will surely be looking for the photos!Thank you so much!If you go by the Perfect Gift, give Shirley a hug from me.She is doing a basket for our stateroom.I can't wait to see it.

mbuckles-Yes,my friend I have been working hard today.I have so much to do before Friday. Not much longer now for the party. :jumping4: Things are still going well in that department I hope. The collage is beautiful, and I will be making copies of it!Thank you!

thejenjens-I want Saturday to get here, but I know that the week will be flying by.I don't want to work either.I think the dckids know already that I will be gone,so they are going to make sure I go a little more crazy this week.Where is the spa I need it now!?We are doing Coral World in St Thomas as well the tram, and in St Maarten we are doing two flags or something like that tour with Disney and guavaberry for sure.

Fran and I on another thread were talking about getting together on Deck 10 on Saturday night and seeing the Wonder sail by.It won't take place till 11-11:45PM.They say it is something to see.How about a meet?

DH and I will be easy to spot in the terminal as we will be wearing white t-shirts with Disboard members written on them and our green buttons.I can't wait!Come on clock!!! :jumping4:

My wife has a Suburban. When it comes to travel, she believes in using the extra storage space if you catch my drift.

Thank goodness for porters!

Sam

smchan-My DH and I believe in extra storage too that is why we are taking the SUV.Yes,I agree thank goodness for porters. Are we there yet?Don't I wish!

Jen,

I know they don't want cruisers to bring their irons on board because of the danger of fire on a ship at sea.....could be bad like the one a while ago on the Carnival ship leaving Miami. Ships have irons available and are easy to use.

Only a few days left. Soon I can start putting the things into the suitcase.

Kathy

Villaness, Mom, start packing!!!!!!!!!! We cannot be late for the airport.... You don't want to disappoint the grandkids.

For those of you who have traveled on the Magic in the past do you know if they supply robes for use in the room? The last two cruises we were on did and it was fantastic. I would hate to take up an more space in the suitcase. I am afraid I am failing in the conservative packing department. :guilty: Oh well, I should be prepared for anything.

As far as the irons go, I believe they supply them and I wouldn't bother packing.

Can't wait to see everyone on Saturday :jumping4: :jumping4: :jumping4:

Villaness-Yes,only a few days away.I just hope the week goes by fast.Today,it seemed like it dragged.

ann southworth-I know the Disney Wonder didn't supply any robes. It would be great if the Magic did.I can't wait to see everyone either on Saturday!

Everyone have a great night!

Maria

Good morning everyone! Not much longer for some of you to leave your state and come to my state. We won't be leaving Gainesville till Saturday morning. We had talked before leaving Friday night, but I want to be home for last minute stuff to do.We will be at port early as we will be leaving Gator territory early. When you see a silver(grey) Saturn Vue,Shuttle license plate on back it is us.Hope everyone has a great flight to FL or drive! You all just think 4 more days, and we will be on the MAGIC! :boat:

Everyone have a great Tuesday!Come on Saturday!

Maria

Hi all...been away from the boards a bit...busy, busy, busy! Can you believe it is almost here!!!! WOOHOO!!! We usually park at the port...we only live 45minutes away....but this year we are cheap (Still paying on those hurricane repairs!) so my son is going to drop us off. He is an Orange County Deputy and is on midnights so he wants to drop us off early...NO PROBLEM...I'll wait outside until the doors open :cool1: Weather here in FL is very warm for this time of year...80s today...I usually want it cooler, but this puts me more in bathing suit mode :flower1: See everyone in a few :boat:

RebeccaLovesDisney-That is great that you got early dining!

We can't wait to see everyone on Saturday either!

Hi Maria,

I finally was able to get my plane ticket for this weekend. I'm going to do my best for y'all on Saturday. The earliest flight I could get was for 1:20pm leaving Atlantic City. My flight is due in at Orlando at 3:45pm, my mom will be waiting for me at the airport and once I get off the plane, we will be heading to try and get some photos of the Magic leaving if we can. Send some PD our way that we can make it on time, if not, have a MAGICal cruise!!!
