December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

WOW - 16 cabins on our list! When I started thie meet thread in June 2008, it was just me and Jennifer (29apr00). Now look at all of us!

Darcy, wasn't it you that sent me the color coded chart? Forgive me....I'm getting old. :rotfl:

Are you getting some special types of ears? If you're referring to the basic ones that go around the stateroom number we have those and could send. For some more unique ones this post has some: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2172891

These designs are terrific. I found them about a month ago and printed a few out. I have them hanging on our refrigerator. It's getting us excited for the trip. If you use them print them on plain paper first to make sure you don't have margins set. The designer has some guidelines for how to print and how to make sure they are the right size. I printed the pirate ears and they are in 2 pieces. I thought they might look odd but I was careful how I cut them and they look great. I also printed the sorcerers hat and the minnie ears. They color and the shading are great.

On another topic - it snowed in Boston this morning. I'm driving 400 miles west to Rochester in an hour or so. All I can think - I wish I was driving the 400 miles in Florida.

Yep, that was me. I live for charts in Word or excel. :rotfl2:

I totally appreciate the chart!! I strive to learn more so I can do better excel spreadsheets! I have one for my WDW days with hours, ADRs etc. It's so cool. Now I have to email it to my SILs who are going on the trip with us. I have a word doc too. Isn't planning and organizing such fun?! It sure helps pass the time!

So my husband says to me this afternoon while I'm out doing yard work, "you know that fish exchange thing? I wonder if Donna (his sister) would like to do it too?" Jeez, nothing like waiting to the last minute!
So I said, well you better ask her and explain it all quickly. People are already buying and making things. Cripes.

I will update as soon as I hear. But just in case, they are in a cabin with Mom, Dad and one son who is almost 16. Their other son is 19 and is in a cabin with my MIL and other SIL. I'm not even going to think about them doing the FE!

So now I'm off updating my binder, making lists of all the things I need to do, and generally panicking! Have to get through Halloween and then things will ease up (hopefully!).

Well the deadline isn't until October 31st, so it will be fine. Just pm me and let me know. I will also need to know his sister's favorite color. :)

I'm getting compliments on it and want to make sure I give credit to the right person! :)

Well, I'm glad people like it. I use word charts and excel a lot with work and that spills over to my personal life, too.

I like being able to see information in a nice layout, and if I can sort the columns, even better.

I also have all my WDW park info in excel, and I think the family we are going with think I am totally INSANE, but they like my organization.

In fact, since I am going to be switching my clothes from summer to fall/winter soon, I am going to just pack my stuff right in my suitecase for Disney! Why pack it in a rubbermaid container now to only take it out in 40-something days.

YES - I am in the 40s for my countdown (49 but it's still in the 40s!). I'm also now impatienly waiting for November 1 so we have the FINAL FE list and I can make sure I have enough of everything and get that all finished. I think I will start the real freak out once that date hits as well because it won't be that much longer until we LEAVE FOR DISNEY!!!

Can't wait to meet you all as well...you have let me blabber about Disney when my friends and family are ready to kill me. :rotfl2:

Just about a month and a half til I hit the parks...I'm getting VERY excited for the trip and the cruise, as are my kids!

I need to start reviewing my lists to see what I still have to do to get ready...

I can't believe we are getting SO close. I've been planning for ever, but now it's getting really REAL. :cool1:

Exactly my thoughts - it's starting to freak me out a little that it's coming up so quickly now! :lovestruc

Hi everyone - well, I'm working at home and waiting for the new FRIDGE to arrive...okay, I'm logged on to work and surfing the Dis, but as far as work knows, I'm WORKING!

It's sad that I'm so excited about a new kitchen appliance. Sigh, who would have thought I'd be old and excited about these things. :lmao:

The fridge is here, and it's HUGE. It almost didn't fit into the doorway of the kitchen or into the space we have (obviously DH doesn't do well with measuring!). But, it's here and I no longer have to trek up and downstairs to get food from the fridge.

Disney is only 43 days away and the cutoff for the FE list is only 8 days away....how many rooms and people will we end up with? We'll know pretty soon!

Hope everyone is doing well and making their packing lists and whatnot, I know I am!

Will also be on the Dec 10th Wonder!!!!!! Staying a few nights before at AKL. Taking my mother with me. She has not been able to travel for 7 years because she ended up taking care of my dad who had Parkinson's. She was a 24 hr caregiver at home for him for the last 1 1/2 years. He passed away on May 31. It's time to get her back out there and traveling so this is my gift to her. Can't wait, she needs this!!!!!!
