December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

HELP! I was all fired up with tons of ideas for my FE gifts and now that the time is getting closer I think I've fizzled out. Not sure why, but as the countdown gets closer I'm starting to freak out about the trip. I'm not usually like this about going to WDW so I have to think it's about the cruise itself.

We've never cruised on any line, and while I can't wait, I'm starting to wig out with the countdown and what I have left to do (FE gifts, door magnets, maybe make a real FE instead of my stocking, or decorate the stocking).

HELP!!

Relax! It is all about having fun. The DCL is a very special Disney experience. Once you get a taste of cruising, FEs and magnets, you will be hooked. It is very addicting! My husband is already planning our next cruise.

My previous post (7:05 this morning) was before I looked out the window. We are in WI (close to St. Paul, MN) and it snowed last night. Yuck!!!! I am so ready for the cruise. It is too early in the season for snow to stick on the ground. I'm afraid its going to be a long winter. DD(7) and I may need to take a trip to the craft store today.

WOW Snow all ready!! My son wants to know when we'll be getting snow??!! I tell him.....we can wait for it to snow but I have a feeling we are all in for a long winter. Our December trip can't come fast enough...only 54 days and we'll be at the World!! See you soon! Laurie

sorry I have been away and not posting much for a few day here. I've just been on other message boards since basketball is starting soon.

Anyone else here like basketball? My favorite team is the NJ NETS, so you will prob see me in all Nets stuff on the cruise

WOW! Snow in October! That is unbelievable! I hope it doesn't snow here soon, I am NOT ready for that weather yet.

I live just east of St. Paul (Oakdale) and we had some snow too. I was up in Hinckley (an hour north) and we had about two inches up there over the weekend.
Now I hear that we may get 3 inches tomorrow!!! UGH! The first measurable/plowable snow on a weekday is always bad. People forget how to drive in it from year to year. OH, I'd much rather be on a cruise! It is FAR TOO EARLY for this kind of yuck even for Minnesota!!!

We don't get snow very often, but we love it when we do. No, we get ice storms that knock out the power for a week. Ick. But it has been chilly here. It's like we missed Fall. I've got to get in the state of mind too. We are down to the wire!!YIPPEEEE

While it's not snowing here, it's still REALLY cold for this time of year...I am refusing to turn on the heat yet. My house is about 60 degrees inside now...I work from home on Wednesday and Friday each week, and I'm drinking tea and ready to wrap up in a blanket to stay warm and NOT turn that heat on yet.

I am SOOO ready for our trip to WDW and the cruise....I could use a nice healthy dose of warm right now. We are expecting a HIGH of 45 tomorrow....YIKES!

I think I'm pretty much done with my FE gifts - just need to do one more thing. The piece I really wanted to do just isn't in my budget right now (unfortunately) but I think I have a nice little gift bag anyway.

52 days til I'm at the Poly for the first time. WOO HOO!

They are very cute!!

I just have to tell you - My DH was perusing the boards today and he saw the picture beneath your siggie and thought your girls look like ours!
They are very cute!!

Thanks so much - your girls are so beautiful too. I love Disney character pictures with kids. I have a ton of them. I'll get a new sig pic on this trip. They are both looking forward to being on a cruise again.

My girls are actually my granddaughters - they are 1st cousins. They are at my house enough they feel like mine sometimes. One of them has new front teeth and the other is losing hers.

I'm in Boston today and they are talking about snow here too. Can hardly wait for our trip.

One thing I do want to mention is that since this is such a short cruise, there are some of us who would like to deliver FE gifts the first day/evening. It would be helpful to go ahead and hang your FE as soon as your luggage arrives and you can.

Can you send it to me, too? I need to make sure I have enough of everything since I was using 11 staterooms....I know the deadline is 10/31, but i was trying to be proactive.

I would appreciate an updated list too please. Although no hurry, since I'm so far behind in doing everything lately! I could wait a couple weeks til it's final I guess! The number of cabins is the biggie. I'll plan for 15 for now.

WOW - 16 cabins on our list! When I started thie meet thread in June 2008, it was just me and Jennifer (29apr00). Now look at all of us!

Lots of people on deck 6 near all my guests! you'll be seeing lots of me i'm sure! of course we aren't there anymore, we downgraded to Cat 12 gty....hopefully we get a cabin assignment soon!!
