That's wonderful! Maybe our sons can hang out together! It will just be he and I and I think he is looking forward to meeting some other kids so he isn't just stuck with his "old mom"!

I've been reading all of the posts and I think I've grasped what the whole fish extender is, but what kinds of things do people usually put in them? Do you just give them out randomly to people with FEs or only to people you know? Do you put other decorations on your door?

A lot of fish extender gifts are candy, little disney trinkets, and some people get really creative and make things. (I might try!) Here is a link to a great thread with lots of ideas for homemade stuff. I think something from your home state is kind of fun too.

disneyfreak1 is the one who's been gathering names and info. I'm sure she'll respond to you about the FE exchange. She's got a list going and will finalize it by cruise time and we will know cabin numbers etc. You can always just randomly surprise someone with a gift too I suppose! It sure looks like fun to me!! But as I've mentioned, I'm planning to use a Christmas stocking (hopefully a Mickey one) for my FE.

Oh, and I forgot about your other questions. We have some magnets to decorate our door (mickey heads etc.) and will have a white board for messages with our traveling companions. We'll probably do something Christmasy this time too.

my ds is only 3 and my dd is 6, but i have a niece who will be 10 and a nephew who will be 13 on board too.

He's a great kid, and gets along with other children no matter what their age is. I'm just excited at the thought of maybe getting to introduce him to some kids on the ship when we get there so he will feel more comfortable. Three and six are such great ages. At nine I think my son is right on the cusp of starting to think of me as a pain in the neck rather than the greatest mom in the world!

I am getting so excited to make our ADRs this weekend since it means the trip is that much closer!

I always check Delta to see if the fares have gone up or down for the flights that we bought back in the spring. Boy am I glad I booked them when I did! The direct flight down to Disney (the early morning flight) is now sold out except for first class (which is $560)!!! I got our flights for $220 which I was happy about even though I did debate on whether I should wait or not, and I'm glad I didn't wait since I didn't see it go lower after I booked!

Our flight home was originally 10:30 (I know cutting it very close to make it off the ship), but I wanted to get home early as the kids have to go to school the next day. Well, then it moved to 10:50 (a little better) and now it's at 11:40 which is much easier for us to make, but I just hope it doesn't get any later than that!!!

I didn't do any excursions, I used Nassau as a sea day and stay on the ship and did stuff. Walked around, took pictures of the empty ship, watched a movie on the Ariel View Television, watched the Eco Quiz which Pikey and Frankie were really funny hosting, went to the castaway club house and chated with some crew on the ship. And on Castaway Cay did what I usually do got off right when we could and chilled at the family beach all day

our flights are donig the opposite! We were originally set to leave MCO at 330pm....a LONG time to sit in the airport after the cruise. Now we leave at 215! I'm happy about that, plus we get back home earlier for the2 hr drive from the airport...in a snowstorm i'm sure!

That's too funny....hope you have an uneventful drive home. Luckily we live about 5 minutes from the airport, we are very spoiled!

Where did you find a stocking this early? I have my FE, but my Mom needs a stocking for hers.

I went into Dollar Tree hoping to find some magnetic paper for our door magnets and got overwhelmed by Christmas stuff! I got a regular size stocking (they also had a giant one) and 3 tubes of glitter glue while I was there. Didn't find any magnetic paper though!

I need to start a box of vacation stuff so I don't forget where I put it all...

Lots of ideas, and you could always copy - I think anything Disney, food, or cruise related is a great idea. I'm looking for something from my home state too.

I'm also kind of waiting for the FINAL list of participants in the FE so I know how much and for whom I need to purchase....

not that I want to exclude anyone that isn't on here already, but when is the list typically finalized?

I don't want to find a really cool item and then not have enough for everyone if more people are added. KWIM?

Here's an FE question - are your neice and nephew (or their room) going to do the FE? The reason I ask is that we are traveling with friends in a connecting room. I don't see them as the FE type of people but I don't want their DD to feel left out that my kids are getting gifts at the door.

Should I ask if they want to do it? what are you doing? Also - did you change rooms? I think I recall that you switched from a 6 to something else, the reason I ask is that on my FE list your room is pretty close to ours on Deck 6....

We're also traveling with others, but no young children. I am pretty sure they will be overwhelmed enough, and not interested in the FE exchange. I'll probably tell them about it though (since I'll have a stocking hanging by my door!)
I would tell them about it and ask if it something they are interested in, b/c with young kids, they can feel bad if their cousins were to get gifts and they didn't. A 3 year old wouldn't understand why. At least then they have the option to participate. I'd probably plan on giving the kids a little gift or two anyway, or share some goodies, just to make them feel special.
